    I use Unique's products and love them. I do an annual black tank cleaning with the tank cleaner as a preventative. I also do a grey tank cleaning using dawn dish soap annually as well.

    Jerry, we use Unique’s liquid RV Digest-It after every tank dump. We also use the Geo Method to make the inside surfaces slippery. Finally, we also flush the black tank as often as possible. So far we are able to keep the sensors working well so that they read empty after flushing. We will have to try their toilet cleaner product, too. Thanks for that tip.

    I’ve been using the Unique liquid since you recommended it a while back and it works great. As weekend campers, this has been working great for us as our camper sits closed up for sometimes weeks at a time. I use about 3 cap fulls with 4 bowl full of water after we flush the tanks. When we open the camper the next time, no bad orders from a sitting black tank. Thanks for sharing

    This product is fantastic. When we purchased our Mini Lite in 2019, we started using Happy Campers instead of the pods, which smells horrible. We saw you video a couple of years ago using this product. Started using it, and OMG, everything was liquified. We use the tank cleaner at the end of the camping season when we get ready to winterize our Mini. I recommend this product to everyone. I still put some Happy Campers in as well, and the combo is fantastic, not orders.

    My wife and I are full-time RV’ers and we use the Unique products exclusively since we bought our Grand Design 3100RD new 3 years ago. I grade Unique an A+ concerning the breakdown of solids and the maintenance of sensors but I grade it a B-/C+ concerning odor control. We dump every 5-6 days and we use plenty of water. We are happy enough with the product line though that we won’t be switching anytime soon.

    I use Happy Camper Toliet Additive. It works for me. Last trip of the season I tow home with twenty pounds of ice cubes in my 1/3 filled black tank. The ice breaks up any solids and the ice is melted when I get to the dump site. I dump the black tank and have factory washdown spray nozzles inside the black tank.

    We have the TruTank system in our Riverstone it is a sonar system and never really have a problem with tank readings it is accurate to within 5% . We don’t have a problem with odor so I guess we are doing it right. Sometimes the gray 1 tank doesn’t read right off the bat could have some soap scum covering it sensor and the manual says to check the level of the RV. We use the geo method and that works well.

    • @iLoveRVlife
      @iLoveRVlife  Год назад

      I don’t have a video. Depending on the age of the RV and if the tanks have never had a deep clean, there could be a chance there’s build up interfering with the dump valve. You may want to try the tank cleaner first to see if that will help. The alternative is not a fun task and the seals and possibly the dump valve will need replacement.

      After a while you learn that your tanks need dumping by the sounds they make. The toilet will kind of gurgle. The kitchen sink drain starts to slow down, and won't drain when full. Same with the bath/shower. Sensors aren't really important to us any more.

      I’d try two different cleaning tasks. If you haven’t sanitized the fresh tank in the last few years, try this ruclips.net/video/jRJA4wdnFjI/видео.html It’s possible there’s algae on the sensors. For the gray, use the same treatment I shared in the the video for the black tank. It’s possible there’s soap scum and or grease on the sensors.

      @@iLoveRVlife Thanks, we have never had an odor but think it's time we do a good cleaning other than the built in tank rinse where I am sure doesn't reach everywhere, however I do use the spinner rinse that you put on a hose and go down from the top about once every few months. Just ordered the tank cleaner and bowl cleaner.

      The swivel works, but a bit of a process. Using the tank cleaner once a year helps reach those areas that could be missed by the spray. One interesting note. A couple years ago, the Gateway 5th wheel dump valve had a little leakage. Thought I to needed to replace. Used the tank cleaner and suspect there was something that had built up near the valve preventing a complete closure. Dissolved and work perfect. Been using the cleaner once a year since.

    I started using Unique Digest-it and was disappointed. The product claims to dissolve all solids to liquid, including ALL toilet paper. I ended up with a blockage so I added more of the product and waited 24 hours. It was still blocked. I had to buy a back flush valve to break up the blockage. When the contents came out, there was a lot of toilet paper that never broke up that had been in the tank for days. I also use the RV Scott's brand toilet paper. A mobile RV Tech I spoke with suggested a different product. I plan on trying it.

    • @iLoveRVlife
      @iLoveRVlife  Год назад +2

      We’ve used both Digest-It and Scott’s RV/marine toilet paper for 8 years. Never had a blockage and all dissolves. Not using enough water can be a culprit prevent the solids from breaking down.
