- Problem:
Slight vibration when accelerating in a Porsche 996 or 997 (Does not work on 997.2) with a manual transmission. The failure that occurs to the mount is the vulcanized rubber separates from the housing on the mount. This is a broken transmission mount. Without the AGA Transmission Tool, the mount is very expensive and is difficult to replace.
Solution:
Easily replace the transmission mount with the transmission in car, using our tool.
Benefit:
Able to replace failed transmission mount with the transmission in the car, will increase shop sales due to affordable solution offered to the customer.

Just done this, removing a solid mount on my 996. Mine had the chamfer on the transmission mount hole on opposite side to what is shown. Always install new mount into the side of the transmission with the chamfer. it allows the mount to install easier

do you have for a 2005 Mercedes e55, Mercedes has same problem trans and motor mounts
Looks like the 955 mount. This should work for that as well yes?
My transmission mount looks different than this. I have a 2002 tiptronic 996.2 and the mount seems completely removable from the gearbox. Is this just an earlier version of the mount i.e. 3.4 vs 3.6?
I of course can just replace the mount with no need for this EXCELLENT tool

Solid mount is too harsh. Makes the vehicle feel like a tractor.
@@LynxStarAuto depends on what you’re using the car for. A daily driver wouldn’t want a solid mount. It is a transmission mount in a under 400hp car so I wouldn’t think it would wreck the whole driving experience
