It has a base plate, which is cast metal that has a thread that holds the camera in the cradle, if this is loosened, the camera can be rotated in all directions, similar to a ball swivel.
How does the camera attach to the base that you screwed in? Does it just click together? Or, do you have to screw it into the base?
