The only things that stick is the USB breakout and what I absolutely love is the ability to record independent of what the original recording is doing. The tape emulation is wonderful, it's all wonderful. How will I ever learn and remember all this...
Got any plans for the real Reel life 3 vid? I’m tempted on making a vid about it myself. But I feel I need dive a bit deeper into the module before giving it a go.
This is so badass. I haven't been this excited to upgrade firmware since MontrealAssembly updated the Count-To-Five! That pitch-shifting goodness around 22:20 reminds me a lot of the CTF. I'm so glad to see it baked into the lúbadh! Great job
explains Sample & Hold in an easy to understand sound source way....and it seems like a throwaway comment. Excellent stuff, keep falling asleep listening to the lushness through my ears.
Took me the better part of a week, but just made it through all the demos, really impressive! I'm especially grateful for the example of using the normalled feedback pathway in the Octave delay demo. I'd used that really effectively once in the past and then never quite could find the way I had done it. Definitely going to back to that one a few times. And ordered the Làrachd to try out the foot switches. The V2 firmware definitely seems like a long-labor of love made by serious loop-lovers! I am looking forward to learning all of its little ins-and-outs.
Now that it's arrived, the Làrachd is a great companion to the new multitap Lúbadh! The CV input to the erase button has a different functionality to the actual button (which I had missed at first), and the Làrachd is a great way to take advantage of that, not to mention a nice way to get guitar into the the Lúbadh. Some notes for other users in case they are useful to anyone else: DELETING TAPS WITHOUT A FOOTSWITCH/CV TRIGGER: If anybody else is like me and missed the trick to only deleting taps and not erasing the recording, here it is from the manual: "In a multi-tap capable mode, pressing and holding the Erase Button and then pressing the Retrigger/Shift Button will remove a playhead tap. Additionally, the CV Expander’s Erase Trigger Input can be used to remotely remove a playback tap." FOR FRIPPERTRONICS-ESQUE STYLES: I finally remembered the trick for getting the samples to bounce cleanly between the reels: disable the input monitoring. Once you've done that you can set up multiple taps on both reels and hear them tossed back and forth between the two and get lots of fun emergent patterns. ---- The multitap redesign is fantastic, it's a little bit challenging to learn, but very rewarding. I guess one thing I wish is that I could record all my tap settings. When you've got feedback between the two reels happening, the right tap settings are like, little pieces of gold.
Ive been fascinated by certain granular synths being able to take any monophonic input and sample it live into being a polyphonic harmony. Its so cool that now this can do that too with the SequencePoly preset!

Hey I have another quick question.... will the patch examples from the V1 manual still work with the new FW? I'm assuming so since the old FW is just the looper preset.
Right now :) The first wave of stock of expansion packs and the new carn modules went to distribution a couple of weeks so they would be in stores in time for today's launch!
@@instruo That's great, I I had this deep inner feeling that it was high time I sat down the with Lúbadh again and I was kind of craving doing some slow languorous looping. I spent tonight upgrading the firmware and ordering one of the expansion packs, I had no idea they were such a recent release until just now, very excited to check out all the work! Also I owe you a long overdue email about k-bows! I haven't forgotten, I have been feeling guilty staring at boxes in my living room that I've needed to unpack for more than a year at least. Cheers, and congratulations on the launch of this new phase of Lúbadh!

Can you play loops backwards? Been searching manual and videos and can't see anything alluding to it but seems like the kind of thing you could do. Thanks!
First wave of stock went to distribution in plenty of time before today's launch. Same with the new càrn stock! Official go time for stores is 2PM UK time. That gave us enough time to get the official posts out :)
There is some additional website content in development :) The plan is to host the sample collection for download on the site but there are a few proverbial irons in the fire this month so it's a work in progress! In the shorter term I felt it added a nice little touch for Expansion Pack purchasers as a bit of an exclusive perk. The firmware is of course free to download since launch. The sample's will follow!

As a noob to the lubadh with v2 should I watch the first overview before this one?
I produced this video to be a full replacement overview as much as possible.
The V2 firmware altered the audio engine's mechanics and how the interface works.
Amaze
Wohooooo!
Can you play loops backwards? Been searching manual and videos and can't see anything alluding to it but seems like the kind of thing you could do. Thanks!
Yep!
You can even record backwards :)
@@instruo Thanks Jason!! €700 added to the credit card...
So where can we get the update pack?
First wave of stock went to distribution in plenty of time before today's launch.
Same with the new càrn stock! Official go time for stores is 2PM UK time. That gave us enough time to get the official posts out :)
Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes
Can we get the samples without the new Extension Kit ?
There is some additional website content in development :)
The plan is to host the sample collection for download on the site but there are a few proverbial irons in the fire this month so it's a work in progress!
In the shorter term I felt it added a nice little touch for Expansion Pack purchasers as a bit of an exclusive perk. The firmware is of course free to download since launch. The sample's will follow!
Sorry for bothering, I updated my Lubadah to farmware2.0,but there are not the samples which you play in movie in USB disk.
How do I get them? I must buy upgrade kit?
I just picked up a Lubadh and I’m struggling to understand overdubbing. Every time I overdub something, it erases the previous loop. What am I doing wrong?
The dub level defines the amplitude of sound on sound :)

Ahaa! I didn’t realize that parameter defaulted to zero. Thank you for the help!
Apologies if this is answered elsewhere: is the new firmware DL already accessible on the website? I can't seem to find it...
Nevermind! Found it.
It’s….. heeeeeere!
what is the module with the eye
it's my personal version of the limited edition tagh module.
Random voltage generator with S&H, T&H slew, rectifier, attenuator and built in clock :)
Oh what is that bottom left module?
That is one of Jason's original Tàghs with a very special Legend of Zelda Sheikah Eye panel!
Hello, I've just update the firmware 2 h ago but i have a problem. My Lubadh don't overdub anymore. It just made a loop and erase at every cycle the previous recording. Any help ?
Have you adjusted dub level using the TIME pot?
Keep in mind the TIME pot functions are very different with V2.
The second time pot function is DUB level which defines sound on sound recording.

This section details it :)
Hello, thx i've tried sevral times with the video before this message but the little knob don't change anything. I am gona test again tomorow :) maybee i just miss something. :) thx for the answer .
@@kidwhisky did you change the TIME pot control mode? Retrig/shift + rec.
The clock out indicator should be lit solid amber which indicates that you’re defining dub level.
@@instruo i think yes so but maybee i made a mistake. I am gona check that tomorow :) thx !!!
Where and when can we get the update pack?

bruh got a straight up Sheikah slate in in synth
Sheesh, the Lubadh 2.0 should rightly be showing up in best-of 2022 lists! I wonder where the reverb is coming from, though.
Thanks!! ☺️
What reverb are you referring to?
When is the update kit available?
Today :)
