This was very helpful video. I’ve been practicing and my friends think I went to the Salon. Very informative and the fact that you said it’s NOT just a Dominican thing. Women of ALL ethnic backgrounds have been using rollers. I respect that. Thank you 🙌🏽🙏🏽❤️🌺💯⭐️

Your videos have been a lifesaver for me! While my hair isn't curly; it's a chaotic frizzy mess if I let it air dry. I've always kept it insanely long mainly because I can. When I was little my grandma would use soup cans to roller set it 🤣
Thanks to Amazon; I have 3in and 5in rollers now.
Thanks to your videos; I can rollerset my hair in an afternoon.

I don't know who else does it, but in Dominican Republic, is a tradition and part of our culture to do rollers it is a must, no matter your hair texture. These women won't even mind to wear them all day long. LOL

      not everyone likes them.

I just want to say, "you look gorgeous even with hair rollers in your hair." Thanks for the video, I learned a few points. This is one of the best hair roller set videos I have seen so far. Very detailed, but simple and quick. All these years, I forgot that was the purpose of the hair net, old school is still the best. I'm off to the beauty supply store.

I’m Dominican. Moved to San Antonio and afternoon being charged $75 for a basic cold blow dried I decided to learn on my own. A much needed video! Today was my first trial and it took me an hour to do them but gotta start somewhere. Got my ceramic iron, leave in, thermal protector and everything else and can’t wait to get better at this. When you move from Dominican Republic to USA, you go from lying about $8 usd to $30-60 usd for a blow dry.

I have a standalone dryer and I can't fit my whole head under the dryer with my big rollers. So the top might get dry and the bottom less dry.

I usually just move my head every 5-10 min to dry all parts

I can never get the rollers tight. No matter how wet and detangled my hair is, it doesn't stick to the rollers. The clips do not hold the rollers. No matter where I put them. Not even if I use the picks instead of the clips, that stick in my scalp. As soon as I let the clips and rollers go the roller loses tension. I end up with cold wet cramped fingers, sore arms, and dismal matted hair, that never dries, no matter how long I sit under the dryer.

Same. I've mastered every style you can think of...except a roller set. Smh. I try at least twice a year tho! Lol.

What is the purpose of rolling your hair then straightening it. Wouldn’t it be easier to just blow it out once?

no it doesn’t dry as nice rollers give you a light, silky bounce

The video was exactly what I was looking to learn, but not seeing the final result meant looking for another video as i wanted to see the difference between up curling and down curling.

I absolutely loved your tutorial! What's the name of the hair pins? My hair always gets caught on the regular ones because they stick out so much :(
