This is the 62nd episode in a weekly series called Tarantula Tuesday. Usually I highlight one species each week covering basic information, husbandry and care. If you found this video entertaining or helpful, please hit the like button so new keepers can find this content further down the road. I have Tarantula Collective T-shrts, Stickers and pins/buttons available for purchase...check the link out down below. If you want to see short feeding videos and other tarantula related videos in between episodes of Tarantula Tuesday, follow me on TikTok, I am uploading at least one tarantula related video there everyday (link further down in the description). Being kinda specialised on arboreals, this list is a mix of my I-have and I-want list :D Thanks a lot for including laeta and minatrix, I feel those two don't get the love they deserve. There's one T though I'm missing on your list (but maybe that's just me) It's stromatopelma calceatum, a very fluffy west african arboreal with a reputation of having a bad attitude - which I cannot confirm so far!

    First, let me say...awesome rockin' of the beard bro. ;) Second, LOVE this list. Thanks for bring a bit more knowledge and highlighting such beauty in these special creatures. So many family and friends just don't get it and are resistant to letting go of their preconceived fears (mostly due to Hollywood making a ton of money off perpetuating that fear to make a buck). Hopefully with more vids like this, minds will be changed.

    Perfect timing for this video. I'm planning on getting a few T's when I get paid at the end of the month. Been lookong up various species and have been considering picking up my first arboreals. You've definitely sold me on the C. Versicolor (so floofy) and further solidified my choice on P. Irminia.

    • @rumpelstilzz
      @rumpelstilzz 4 года назад

      c.versi is simply a must have :) But be careful with p.irminia if you're not into old worlds yet. In my experience, she's the most aggressive of all my new worlds and as fast as most of my old worlds. Might be I got a psycho, but what I hear and read from others, chances are high you'll get one too! But without question, she makes up for it with her beauty.

    Hey Richard, new subscriber here. Just watched through quite a few of your top 10s. Haven't had a tarantula, or any exotic in quite some time, but recently went back to the monthly local reptile show with my girlfriend and her friend, and couldn't walk away from the T tables. Forgot how much I adore the eight-leggeds. You probably won't see this comment, which is fine, but in the chance that you do, I just wanted to say "thank you."
    I did a lot of research when I was first getting into the hobby and figuring out who would be the first, and I settled on green bottle blue. I try not to go back to something I've already had out of a respect to the ones past, so you've been helping me to weigh different options.
    Really liked your use of music in this video in particular. Hadda grab my phone and Shazam a few tracks. I know you include a lot of information in your drop-down, but maybe include the music you use as well. They're your videos, so obviously do as you will, but you also reminded me not only of my love for tarantulas, but also how valuable of a tool RUclips videos can be for finding new music. "Flowers" by Yomoti was my favorite.
    Thanks again for the content. Hope your tarantulas, and all other aspects of your life are doing well.

    Nice, real beauties and cuties. Guess my favourite is the C. versicolor because it is a new world T., fluffy and colorful. I love top 10 videos in general. Here are some suggestions for more top 10s: The largest growing species (although of course we all already know who the number one will be), the cheapest (depends on where you live, but you could judge by your personal experience), or the most colorful Ts.

    Phormingochilus Arboricola definitely needs a place on any arboreal list.

    Okay, this was SO AWESOME. Buuuuuut.... I think the chromatopelma cyaneopubescens TOTALLY should've been on their. I know they're only semi-arboreal, but, still. Anywho, Love it!

    Hey man, I think you should have included the Heteroscodra maculata, it's gorgeoooous. And honestly, I'd put the Peocilotheria regalis instead of vitatta.
    Anyways, nice video bro

    I always kept spiders when I was little with no money. Just decided to get into the tarantula collecting hobby. I have a brachypelma hamorri juvenile on the way. 😊

    Psalmopoeus pulchra makes a good beginner's arboreal I've been told. I have one myself.

    New keeper here! Got myself a mystery box a few weeks back, and super stoked that the 3 arboreals I received are on your list! I got the Psalmopoeus irminia, Tapinauchenius cupreus and Caribena versicolor! All tiny little sling - can't wait for them to grow! Thanks for all your awesome vids!
