This really helped me! I'm a linguistic student with little to no experience with statistics looking for a good test for my bachelor thesis and I think I found it! Thank you so much!

hi Katrina. That word doc that gives an overview of all the types of tests is very useful. Anywhere we can download that, or similar resources you might have?

I saw a statistitian today regarding a study in which I used Fisher's e act test cos more than 80% of cells have expected values less than 5. To my surprise he told me I couldn't use Fisher's test here and that exactly the same rules apply for Fisher's test as for Chi square.

    Hi, thanks for the video,
But what if we have a 3 rows*2colomns contingency table with a count less than 5 in certain cases?? to use fisher exact test or what test is recommended in this case??
    thanks in advance.

Very handy Video, Thank you. I presume that you enter frequencies/counts in the table. But this doesn't take into account the dataset size? What do you do if datasets are of a different size?

    Hello Katrina,
Do you know how to get the different steps that lead to the final P-value?
    Thanks and great video btw!

When I get the p- p-value, ill be able to know weather if its greater or less than 0.05. So what's the use of the degrees of freedom?

I have 2*2 matrix with one cell that contains zero frequency. Can I still use the Fisher's exact test?

    • @andrii1886

Have you figured that out? I have lots of zeros in my expected frequencies and there is literally nothing I can use in this case

not just 2x2 table, it can be applied for m x n table.
