I’ve been playing on PC for about 15 hours. I haven’t gotten much out of the story and or side quests, but once I was kinda set free it brought back the sense of wonder I felt the first time I played Skyrim.
The intro cutscenes are trash, but I promise you once you start meeting new tribes and learning their politics it becomes a lot more engaging, I can’t stand the human allies lol

Solid review. Picked up Avatar Frontiers of Pandora on PS5 and man the graphics are absolutely stunning! It’s the first game since Horizon Forbidden West that has blown me, the world of Pandora is so lush, the natural environment, lighting is top notch. Flying around on the Ikran is a treat, Far Cry Primal is one of my all time favorite games and Avatar Frontiers of Pandora captures the vibe of that game perfectly. 😊
I bought but I am saving it for Christmas. It will be fun. I love Avatar. I might buy a second copy and play it with my son.

Just started it, so wether the gameplay will hold my attention for long, remains to be seen
I love it, ik people say its just a Far cry clone but i dont see it as a bad thing, yes i do wish the pov was optional between 1st n 3rd person perspective but its none the less worth playing

Am I the only one that feels the ikran don’t fly/move fast enough? Feels slow when close to the ground… you can’t get that movie feel in terms of speed on it.

I think it’s because canonically the ikran can only reach a top speed of 25-30 mph but it could also just be because the devs felt like it lol

Stop it already with the Farcry comparisons. The negative comments are idiotic. If you like this genre of games, this game is a dream come true. Haters and trolls need to STFU and go play the loading screens, bare planet simulator Starfield.
I know it was so gorgeous.It saddens me that people dislike it. I played ghost of sushima and the world was incredible and when I Played this game it was larger and exactly how I imagined traveling through pandora. I hope the team does avatar the way of water and so on. They keep making games like this ill buy everytime. Great job ubisoft and everyone else This game is amazing. Soon people will come to realize it.

Got PS5 deluxe edition on disk from Amazon, wasn't keen on another Ubisoft game but for £49.99 new, too good to pass up.

I’m fortunate enough to have a PS5 and an XSX and I’m waiting for Digital Foundry’s report but so far I’ve only found comparisons going in PS5s favour.
So far three guys are saying that the image has noticeably better stability on PS5 and that performance is equal or better on PS5 and zero guys saying the opposite. (Though assuming you have VRR there are no performance issues on either console)
PS5 having better image quality doesn’t make sense especially since this is so graphically intense.

Yup. You and me both. From what I've seen so far from various sources, the PS5 version is probably the version I'll end up going with. Thomas Morgan is creating the comparison video, reckon it should land tomorrow.
It makes sense, the series X has more compute power but the PS5 is better engineered. I have both, both are good.
@@positivevibesrfc Also the Sony machine is the lead platform for the vast majority of third party developers, as there are a lot more PS5's in the wild than Xbox series consoles. This often results in better optimisation for the PS5 version.

I am amazed how well this game runs on my PS5, considering the astounding amount of details in the landscape, even running at full speed. The raytraced lighting is drop-dead gorgeous…
Is this game completely single player? As it says multi player optional on psn
Can be played entirely in single player or in online coop with one other player after a certain story mission unlocks it -Aaron

I enjoyed it. Game of year? No. But it was an enjoyable sometimes frustrating experience.
Ubisoft would not have been able to make the game without LIGHTSTORM.
If you have to teamed the beast I'm good

Depends on what style of game you like, I enjoy it. It’s easier to make progress then you realize when you pin the items your looking for
50 quid on Amazon, dont pay 70 quid on PS5 store

I’ll be honest, I absolutely hate this game.
All it does is bug and glitch.
I can’t even get through some of the early quests because I’ll do them perfectly and the game will not register that I did it.
Had to do a quest like 20 times over because of this.
I even looked it up to be sure I was doing it right.
Not to mention the shit stealth.
I’ll easily stealth kill an enemy, but immediately be noticed by literally every single enemy and they also seem to teleport to my location to rein fire on me.
My only option at that point is to quit the quest because I have to go out of the quest zone.
And the game kills me for that.
I’m so sick of it!

I’m really enjoying the game and I’m not even an avatar fan. The world is gorgeous and massive.
I believe you as a lover of AVATAR this game was phenomenal. I really don't understand why people dislike it. Its a very real spiritual experience. You do feel like a newbie being trained by the Navi.This game is meant for people who really want to dive in to the world of avatar. Just like the first movie. Especially at night. This isn't just a fight with the RDA this is a game that shows their deep spiritual connection amongst one another and their environment. Something as humans we were never able to experience ourselves.

@@MrParis215 the whole point of an AVATAR RPG is to prioritize the environment and look at things in a deep meaningful understanding just like they did in the movie. If its a snooze fest don't play a game based on spirit and peace and their connection. If you didn't like the movie avatar for the blue cats. don't play a game based on it lol. For people who want a deeper understanding would love this game without a doubt. Avatar is known for its scenery and the spiritual connection they have with their enviorment.

Story, dialouge and characters are very lackluster. If you play as a female Naavi, you sound like selfconfident american woman. If you play as a male, you sound like a scared, insecure native boy. I would have liked to hear Massives thoughts about that. ;) What wins me over is the world, worth the purchase alone.

Its incredible i was very skeptical about since I've played ghost of sushima but this was an even greater world and it really felt I was in Pandora. Both incredible games felt like a next gen game. As an avatar lover I can say it was just as I expected looks just like the first movie.
This game sucked… The world has decent foliage, but it is empty and dead. Not to mention all games should have a third optional setting.
ha, the world was insane. They did a great job it was exactly what I expected from watching the movie. It's simplistic but what they say there's a deeper connection to it. And for avatar lovers this game truly was phenomenal. Empty how? looks exactly like the first movie in comparison.
really... a fps... combat is fully fps... you cant run and jump and climb up trees and mountains?? what a waste... this is almost as disappointing as BG going turned based...😑😑😑

Really had the complete opposite expeirence. I was able to grasp everything for the most part including trees and mountains. It runs very smooth.

Halo and cod are the same genre, and have similar gameplay elements, but they feel different enough to play that they really aren't the same. Just like far cry and avatar.

Hogwarts legacy was a pretty tour of hogwarts, but boring asf and not touched again after 10ths
There’s just nothing to it… no meaningful exploration and things to discover outside of eye candy, barely any interesting main/side-quests etc.
It ALL just feels dated and as if the game could’ve launched several years ago and fit right in with the PS4/Xbox One generation.
Far Cry and much more mechanically sound in this regard, despite that it’s been rinse and repeat since the 3rd game, which pretty much set the template for all Ubisoft games of this ilk
Anyway… I’d suggest waiting for a decent sale if you absolutely love Avatar (which I don’t care too much for.)
Good points, the game is definitely gorgeous eye candy but looks rather shallow gameplay. I'm not too interested in the hunter/gathering aspect. Plus never really got into Avatar. I'm interested in it but I'm in no rush to get it, and Ubisoft games always go on sale, usually fairly quickly as well. For now I've got a huge backlog of things to play regardless.
@@markadams5009 The hunting and gathering is actually really well implemented though. I havent seen a game do something quite like it, and ive found it quite rewarding once i figured it out. The combat is admittedly simple, but playing on hard it is quite engaging and fun. Using all the tools at your disposal adds a bit of strategy to combat encounters. Im about 20 hours in, and loving every minute.
@@ElectricAlien577 Fair enough, I'll definitely pick it up sometime when it's on sale. By the way if you haven't played Remnant 2 it's awesome, fun, challenging solo or up to 3 player co-op. I put over 250 hours on it and had a blast.
