Thanks for the concert, my husband walked in the house from work and had to stop to listen and said: their innocence, specially in the middle of all the turmoil going on in the world and to listen to their voices praising God is beautiful” next thing you know I had an “allergy attack”🥹🥹 LOL. May God always watch over them and your whole family,this is what families need to focus on, make Christ the center of the home. 🙏🏻
That little concert was adorable. Reminds me of my mother and me singing the very same songs.
Ah, folding laundry .... saw a sign recently that said "Laundry: Wash 1 hr. Dry 1 hr. Fold and put away 7-10 business days"!!! You're doing a great job as mom. I'm 65 and still can't eat breakfast until 3 hours after I'm up. Trust me, the boys will live!! ❤❤😊
My sister was a stay at home Mom and she loved it. I had to work. We had 4 kids and both of us worked. There were days I didn’t know if I was coming or going, especially Jr High on with sports. My husband and I would pass each other on the road, picking 2 kids up and taking the other 2. I’m so glad they’re all grown up with their own families. Now that my daughter has 3, she doesn’t know how we did it. 😅 Love your videos, they’re so peaceful. Thanks!

My grandma always said when a child is hungry they will eat. You are doing a wonderful job with your children. No child comes with directions. God gives us wisdom n knowledge how to deal with each child. Blessings to you n your family.

Seeing all the moss and oak trees sure makes me miss home. Both of my parents have passed over the last two years and I don't really have a reason to go back to Florida as often. Makes me sad, but I do enjoy seeing them sometimes. Thanks for sharing your morning with us.

As always,another great video. To hear children's voices and seeing them have fun is a blessing from God. It's so important to me that I read my devotional daily. All my kids aren't kids anymore. They're adults now and 2 of my boys have families of their own. My youngest one isn't married yet. He's only 22 years old. Life is such a blessing to be in a relationship with God. That's why I enjoy following you and your family. Faith in God. It's just me now. I've raised my youngest son as a single mom cause his dad and I divorced when he was 18 months old. But I'm blessed beyond measures. God made a mom,a grandma and a great grandma. I'm like you Lynette God comes first. ❤❤❤thank you and Nick for raising your kids in a good Christian Mennonite home. There were six of us and we could never eat breakfast before school without getting sick on the school bus. Mom finally just started keeping frozen orange juice concentrate in the freezer and making orange juice for us. She felt better about our not eating and we were all healthy. 💝

I love this type of video. You were singing Deep and Wide, that was a song we sang in Bible School and Sunday School sooo many years ago. It brought back so many memories. I am 71 so you know that has been a while.
Growing up I could never eat breakfast right away and I know my Grandkids are like that. I wouldn’t stress over it. I love vlogs like these.
Same I never like breakfast, also freshly brushed teeth (toothpaste) and orange juice was a huge turn off for me. I was ready for lunch but eat well around dinner time. I had a slower metabolism.
I find such peace in watching your videos. I agree that having a routine is best. You are so good at taking care of your large family. God bless!
I rise by 4am - haven't used an alarm in over 25 years, just wake up at that time no matter what time I go to bed. I usually start a load of laundry and empty the dishwasher. I then go to my comfortable chair and read my bible & devotions, pray. Hubby is up by then and he starts his day while I'm finishing laundry. We then exercise and eat our breakfast around 10-11am and continue with picking up around the house/yard or work on a home project. My son was the opposite, he ate a big breakfast (eggs, toast, bacon or sausage) or (biscuits and gravy with sausage).
You mentioned your boys usually don’t like to eat first thing. I used to fight with my son when he was younger about eating in the mornings before school because I was just sure it was gonna affect his learning capabilities. I finally quit and let him choose. It turns out that his digestive system actually righted itself by me letting him choose when he ate and it also affected his metabolism in a positive manner. It taught me the value in sometimes Listening to my children when they really don’t want to do something. 😅

Enjoyed your very natural morning routine vlog. Your oldest son made me laugh with his sleepy “ peace” hand signal as he looked into the camera. I always had a make up your bed routine with my kids from the time they were little. Same with my bed. I can’t stand to leave the house with unmade beds:) Thanks for showing that laundry is a never ending chore. We are so blessed we have washing machines and dryers now.
I think it’s great that you’re teaching your boys to be responsible around the house and help with their sisters. They seem very sweet and patient with the little ones.

I grew up in Sarasota. I am 3rd of 4. My mom worked hard like you with laundry. She used a clothesline in the 60’s. We lived on Hyde Park St. Had a huge backyard and lots of trees. Thanks for sharing ❤

Mine wake up and are soooooo hungry. I make sourdough pancakes, Dutch baby, yogurt with fruit and honey etc. But they eat like a MAN! Lol

I was so happy to see you singing with your little girls. You are establishing something that will be with them forever. I am almost 77 years old and I can still remember my father singing Jesus Loves Me and Deep and Wide with me when I was the age of your girls. I had never heard Building Up the Temple but I remember This Little Light of Mine and at least a verse or two of Amazing Grace and Old Rugged Cross and other hymns. "Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it." I can personally attest to the validity of that scripture. This is also true of songs you are teaching your little ones so well done. You are giving your children an excellent foundation.

The boys getting the milk for their sisters is so awesome as well. One thing i love about watching your videos is how close yall are !
When my kids were young and even to this day I am still that early morning person coffee start laundry and tend to the animals. It just makes my day so to go smoother. I also remember my boys didn't eat either at that age so I would give them that extra something in their lunch :). Do you teach your kids Pa Dutch? I also want to know how much you like your pans you use? Thanks blessings.
Only my youngest will eat first thing in the morning. The other 2 wake up much more slowly and will go do farm chores before they even entertain food. Which is okay, because we homeschool. 🤷

Those childhood chores are so important. Even the smallest chore is a lesson. Cooking experience too. Not being allowed to help as a child definately delayed my cooking skills as a young adult

✍Hi Lynette... Loved sharing your morning and day routine with us but, my favorite was the 🎶Sunday School songs🎶 as old as I am 78 I find myself singing Sunday School songs🎶 That's the one thing I miss about the Catholic church not singing the songs I'm used too. It's nice you live in a community where golf carts are allowed. We sold ours when selling our summer place. I live in NE Ohio so have no use for a golf cart but it would be nice if they were allowed since I don't drive a regular car either anymore. I'm a empty nester of 9 kids (3 in heaven) & 6 we raised. Really appreciate seeing so many great channels like your on RUclips sharing life of a mom with kids at home! I'm a really riser at 5 am myself to get things done around my home. The songs you sang were ones I sang in church as a kid, I hadn't heard them in a long time & it was so sweet to hear them again.

Please do not take this as critical, but just as being curious. I respect all religious belief systems and enjoy your videos. I notice the scarf today. Does it matter if you film once (for us to see you w/out your head/hair covered) without a covering vs. with a covering all the time? I'm thinking, if it's ok to film without one for one day, why not film more without one? And if the covering is for going outside in public only and around the house you do not (it's not required) to wear one? My religious background, my mother & grandmother wore buns & dresses all the time, so I promise this is not to be critical lol Just observing & curious 🙂
That scarf was my covering - symbol .. I just hadn’t put my hair up properly. I wear a head covering because of 1 Corinthians 11. Not because of people. ☺️ and RUclips is public. I treat it that way.
I choose to wear my normal veiling 98% of the time. ☺️ I wear a headband or a hat if I don’t have my hair done in a bun yet for the day. Or maybe when I go swimming etc. but otherwise I wear a head covering whether anyone sees me or not ☺️ it’s not for show. It’s my personal conviction to cover when praying and as a sign of submission to God and my husband like it refers to in the Bible.
@LynetteYoder thank you for your response. I guess I assumed the covering was all of the hair in the back. I loved the scarf on you and your hair is so pretty. Sadly with aging or hormones I'm losing some of mine it seems lol I was on a Vitamin D regiment for a few weeks and it stopped coming out completely. Mine used to be about as long as yours and thick.

We drove to Florida from Wisconsin last week and stayed in Clearwater. I told my husband I wanted to drive over to Sarasota and check out Detwiler's. We also went to the Farm Market downtown. What a beautiful city! Loved your video today and seeing the kids interacting together. The girls are adorable in their matching dresses.

Growing up I rarely wanted to eat breakfast. I still can skip breakfast or just eat some toast and juice. Everyone is made differently and we shouldn’t feel we need to make children eat if they are not hungry.

I think the way you do your dishwasher is the best way (maybe because that's what I do😉) But I do believe that it sets you up for the best way to clean up. And you are right about having a clean environment to start with first thing in the morning. I read a book written by a pastor's wife and she explained that since they were a pastoral family they would have people coming at all hours, so she learned to always tidy up before bedtime, because she never knew who would drop in and when. While I don't have people coming to my house in the middle of the night, I found it to be so helpful to start the day with a clean home. 😊
Your kids are adorable and Harper's hair is so cute. My daughter was the same way. I'd work hard to get what little bit of hair she had and she'd pull out the ponytail holder. Not to puff her up, but perhaps if Nic told her how he likes it, that might help. Sometimes they just need a little encouragement to keep it up.

My son did not eat breakfast until he went to high school. Now he loves eggs, rice, bacon ect.
My daughter, still doesn't like breakfast. 😂
