- FACTORIO and AMERICA come together to bring you the greatest campaign of peace, love, and "democratic" dictators in this world of Factorio. A game about building grand Factories and annihilating insectoid "union workers", it shares some similarities with other games in the genre such as Rimworld. With a few friends, we attempted to achieve the AMERICAN DREAM in Factorio by harnessing the power of FREEDOM (and oil, lots of oil). Join me as we conquer ahem LIBERATE the creatures of this world with a little help from Uncle Sam. Mandaloregaming is an absolute chad for showing me that game existed and I've been listening to the soundtrack ever since
I enjoyed making epic solar farms to keep the pollution down, stops the bugs getting too big too quickly. So long as you wall them and stick some turrets outside, they never get touched

@@doggo_woo nuclear plants cause pollution? Realistically speaking they are actually quite pollution friendly except for those toxic vats you got to store somewhere but that doesn't take up a lot of space or pollute the environment that much, it's just hard to find a good neighbor that wants to store it for you ;)

@@roberine7241 exactly, just find a remote place where nobody lives and you can safely dump it there. I heard they even got bacteria now that can eat that shit so just throw that down the hole as well lol.
I now remembered why I renamed the Factorio shortcut on my desktop ManifestDestiny.exe for the short while that I played it after seeing the title of the video.
The goal of factorio is not to launch a rocket but to ascend into map mode only.

After you finished this vanilla series i would recommend installing the space exploration mod to redo the space race and bring democracy to the rest of the galaxy.
I always love watching newbies try out new items they haven’t seen without realizing the old items are the best (turret vs defender)
That was my playstyle. Just try all the shit possible. Didn't launch rocket until like 250 hours into the game.

You can throw grenades out of the tank. Especially useful if one focuses on driving and one focuses on throwing grenades

Trick to dealing with the bugs is to use solar power. Problem with solar power is it just doesn't provide much power per square inch.
nuclear power though, setup a 2x2 reactor in as compact of a grid as you can get it, and that will last you a long long time, once its not enough just blueprint it and place another

FWIW, there is a handy trick to *drastically* increase the usefulness of defenders when you are on foot. As they are always trying to move to a set distance away from you, as long as you are moving, they will follow you. That is handy, but also a problem because that puts YOU between them and the biters. If you move forward in tight circles, their attempts to follow you will have them orbit in large circles. In essence, as you slowly move forward, you can swing them like angry bolos. Great fun.

Last time I played by myself, I barely reached tier 3 science packs, and I literally felt as though my brain was an uncooked egg, and a simply crack would send it pouring out of my ears and I would be rendered comatose.
