I once had mine run up my shirt sleeve and she screamed when I reached up to get her. She was the most vocal Leo I’ve known, she’d chirp when she wanted to be handled or after she ate and laid her belly on a warm piece of slate. I miss her

The reptile that started my love for reptiles in general was a crested gecko I still have today! I love geckos and have always wanted a chewie! I now have 2 leopard geckos and two cresties and they're rad! But aren't all geckos?! Great vid Adam!

I've had a crested gecko for many years and he's my bestie. He's grown very social and will come to the front of his cage when he hears me. So overall I'm pretty optimistic about my ability to "tame" geckos so I personally would love a leechie gecko some day
Prices are going down a lot on all New Caledonia geckos, I got my leachie from a local reputable store for $550 (USD) and I’ve been seeing them on morph market in the $400-$500 range thankfully. They’re absolutely amazing and he’s right up there with my chohua as my 2 favorite animals I own (non dog animals)
Geckos have always been my fave. I have a fantasy dream of having a provate collection that has a relresentative of at least every genus. Maybe when i strike it rich!
I met a Sara breeder at the reptile expo in Houston and I lost his business card😭 he had affordable Sarasinorum Geckos and they are so beautiful and amazing!!
Tokays can actually be really sweet and not hard to tame out as long as you get a captive bred baby and have patience with it bc they are highly intelligent for geckos, it blew my mind but so many people especially on Reddit play with their tokays like leopard geckos
Would've loved to see uroplatus lineatus and henkeli they are very unique and about the same size as fimbs and giganteus. I also think sikorae,saimeti, guentheri, allaudi, and pietshmanni are about the size of leopard geckos.

Hey guys, I got a problem with my crested gecko. He is almost 3 years old now and I got him when he was about 6 months. Till the age of 2 and a half he was always very handleable and really liked my presence. But the last few months he suddenly became very skittish and is scared of me even while only opening the door to his bioactive enclosure. It is at the point now, that he sometimes takes of running and even jumps out of his enclosure. The humidity and heat in his terrarium seem fine and he is still maintaining a good weight and eats normal. Do you have any ideas what could cause this behaviour? I would love some suggestions on what to do to lower his stress level.
Do you think you could do a video on reptiles that dont need live feed? (Excluding iguanas.) My BTS eats dog food, veggies, fruits, and sometimes i bring home canned snails
Yes Leachie for the win lol however my girl was sweet as pie, never cage aggressive UNTIL she got a bit bigger than the one in this video. Now she will bite anything that moves in her enclosure…. We’re working on it😅
I would love a leopard gecko, but it's the requirement of a 50 gallon tank that prohibits me. I don't have the room for a 4' tank. :( But I appreciate the video, Adam!
halmaahera geckos get very very large, and look very similar to leachies. Tame and make great pets if you can find them. also about 1200 cheaper then leachies
7:01 Getting hand friendly with a Tokay Gecko take alot of experience and risk I happen to know. It's all about reading their body language. Getting over confident one day from recent positive hand bonding with the Tokay , she put the clamp on my hand. She was large, the biggest of three Tokays I've had. I failed to read (ignored) her clear body language and she clamped onto my hand. Hard and did not let got. Nor did she thrash or attempt to leave. She stared dead into my eyes as the blood started trickling from her mouth, down my hand and arm. I attempted to slowly get up and she clamped abit harder. She still eyes locked on my eyes. I literally begged her to let me go. And deeply apologized . She broke eye contact for a moment, clearly considering my plea and then let me go. And allowed my to pick her up back to the cage. All true.
If I ever move into a bigger house, maybe a bigger reptile. Geckos are so cool. Until then, considering something small. 😄 (Nothing wrong with being small.)

There are friendly leachies out there. I have tried to socialize mine and ended up with typical territorial leachie behaviors anyhow.

Halmahera Giant geckos are very cool. There are two species of them.

I think the coolest gecko are Pygopodidae geckos. They are by far the most unique type of gecko and have by far the most outlandish body plan.
Smiths green eyed geckos seem to be getting more popular. I have one on the way.

I have gekko smithii, green eye geckos. Last year's captive bred babies are all sold, but more on the way for this season!
I like large lizards, they are the most interesting to me.
A good example is the asian water monitor (Slinky from Kamp Kenan 😋).
