Exactly. He was careless and always waited until the last minute to do things, hence him forgetting about the coffee so much. He only did it when he "needed" to. That's how she caught him cheating twice in a row.

The one thing I disagree with is her cutting the wire in the...I guess alarm box. The police will find it. Suspicious 🤔
Would have been better if she had used a wrench and disconnected it. Then, after everything, she can just reconnect it.

I just have one question, I don’t think it’s really anything anyone would think about, but would she have to put that stuff back? I mean a good investigator would inspect the house thoroughly to make sure it was actually self defense, right? Wouldn’t it be questionable to find all the kitchen knives in a totally unrelated drawer and a gun in the trash?
Slim probably put them back or the cops didn't care enough to investigate because they knew about him
I'm sure she trows the guns away with all her stuff and the knives she put back in the kitchen. She put so much afford in her plan. It would be dumb to get caught because of the kitchen stuff. But I admit, I had the same question 😂
She put the gun in a bin full of documents, not the garbage. He wouldn't be able to report or explain why things were in a dif spot if she were successful and she could just say she didn't know why either. He was obvi nuts. Could also say since he anticipated her coming over he moved everything to keep if from her so she couldn't defend herself when he attacked her.

But if he could actually say that he anticipated her coming over, assuming that she didn’t know about ALL the guns, why even touch them at all? I mean, I know that she knew that he owned handgun and kept it in the house when they were living together, but she makes it clear that she doesn’t know about the entire arsenal. And, maybe I might be a little green here, but I don’t think that Mitch (or well anyone) would think to actually remove any of the guns, especially if he “knew” that she was coming over. I’m not arguing or anything, I’m just kind of trying to make sense of it. Why even touch the guns? Cause to me it seems like she wanted to disarm him.

And I always wonder why slim didn't get arrested after she killed Mitch I think it was primarily because the police didnt know that she set the whole thing up

I was really young when this movie came out and never really understood why she was walking backwards with her eye closed. Somebody help me understand…
Walking backward can be part of self-defense training to simulate situations where you need to create distance from an attacker while maintaining awareness of your surroundings. Also she’s making sure she doesn’t trip over

@@ItsNiccksterit could also be that she was not only preparing for the fight, she was choreographing it in her head. Think about it how like a boxer or maybe like Sherlock Holmes would do it when he would he would fight. If your attacker does not practice any sense self restraint (like they’re just eager to attack you) this means they obviously have no plan and act on desperation or, in this case, impulse. This would psych anybody out, which is what they want so that they can control you. When Someone in slims situation starts learning how to defend themselves properly they actually learn that fighting starts in the mind (both yours and your attacker). The victim has to learn to be strategic about the fight so that not only can it go their way, but they are actually proving that they are stronger than their attacker, which is why she is choreographing how the fight was gonna go. Also, the more you study how to fight and learn more about your opponent and their weaknesses, the less you’re afraid to fight back. That’s why when she goes through the training, he’s not only making her physically strong, but mentally as well. So, not that I’m condoning violence, but I think that everyone should learn some sort of self defense because one never knows when they will be attacked, and the first thing the enemy will do is go after your mind. So it’s important to be focused and aware in any situation.

This movie was so stupid... how the hell you going to explain a cell phone jammer, cut wires to the alarm, etc. to the police? There was a movie FAR better than this done properly, it was called Sleeping with the Enemy. This movie was a joke. And the stupid little thing she does to free him from choking her? Yah sorry women, try that in real life. It's not working against a man. Not saying I endorse domestic violence in any form, but not happenin'.
