i wonder when will lucas start playing with a 16 string
i see a lot of people complaining about Lucas' lack of enthusiasm and occasional appearance of irritation. i implore you all the think about the fact that he has openly said before that he suffers with social withdrawal issues. he might come off as an asshole sometimes but that's not really the issue. anybody who suffers socially with anxiety should understand that being able to just pretend you're just fine is not always easy and some people don't like pretending.
joel and lucas had a spit a while back, but as far as I had heard they had come to an understanding and joel admitted he said things he may not have meant about him. Lucas has been quite an approachable and decent dude from any of the times I've seen his fan interactions online and from accounts of many different people.
This is impressive. The guitarwork is very good and the drummer is awesome. The vocalist is also very talented.
After watching this I'm really hyped to see them open for Carnifex

Rings of saturn is one of my favourote bands but they has no stage presence and even no bass player. It would make the sound much better if they have one...

I'm guessing you're referring the brief parts that are on playback like in "Godless Times." Pretty much every modern metal band is going to have some parts on a backing track that can't be emulated live for the guitar tone/mix or other reasons. In the case of this band, it's pretty easy to tell that the reason isn't because the musicians aren't capable of playing the parts. Clearly, these dudes can rip their shit live

How do they play live? Like the second song they had the recording start it off. I wanna say Miles was playing bass but it didn't look like a bass. Just curious, looked like a good show for sure though
Nope, when live Aaron is on drums, Ian does the vocals and Miles and Lucas play guitar. The both have 8-strings: Lucas has a Azwen Core - RoS Edition by Etherial Guitars and Miles has a Banshee Elite by Schecter. Aside from that they have a sound guy called Alex. I think he does stuff like live mixing, changing guitar fx (if that's not automated) and bass drops. They all have in ear monitors with a clicktrack so they play in sync and the bass, and all the synths are just backing tracks. I don't remeber their amp setup, but Lucas explaines it in the video where he shows off his Signature Etherial. As for drums, Aaron uses Bass drum triggers and plays the rest either with mics on bigger stages or with out them on smaller ones (aside from the standart snare an tom mics). Ian often has a reverb effect on his voice, but I think that's it.

I understand how people don't like the no stage presence, but I understand what there's almost none. As all of you know, ROS is super technical and requires a shit ton of concentration, otherwise, they'll fuck up their part. That's just me tho.
Metalhead Nation look at bands like Periphery, they play extremely technical stuff and still throw on a great show, and actually look like they enjoy themselves.

I've seen rings of Saturn twice now and love them, but with that being said their performances from the past couple years have been pretty weak.
And before anybody says they can't play if they're moving around should watch videos of them before 2012. They just seem bored now. It makes me sad, but it's the truth.

kevray90 I never gave two shits about RoS, brain drill did this type of crap years and years ago. And as much as I wanted to like it, it’s boring. Technically great, but has no redeeming qualities. The drama keeps this band alive. Miles is a great dude, and I will support them because of him. But this show looks sophomorish for such a big name band. No offense interloper Bros 💯

Saw them live when they toured with Fit For An Autopsy and Thy Art Is Murder, super boring. Played good but they were the worst band. Was hard to get into it when they play so non enthusiastically
Cliff Bond I saw them in Houston on that tour, I thought they were amazing live, singer was hyping the crowd up and it was just fun, small venue maybe 70 people? So it was in your face lol
