Was I the only one who liked the peaceful background music? Wish I can get a link to that. Thanks for the informative video :)
The piece is called "Mist" composed by J. Donald Walters (Swami Kriyananda) from the album "The Mystic Harp" performed by Derek Bell. Glad you liked it :)
@@AnandaSanghaIndia Thank you! Didn’t expect an reply, now I’m definitely listening to it
Thanks for asking 😊
Jai Guru,
I have been practicing meditation since 2014. I received the Kriya Diksha in 2015 from YSS.
Your this video is by far the best explanation of introductory meditation.
Thanks 🙏
When I lift my eyes upward to gaze at the spiritual eye or 3rd eye my physical eyes shake can you give solution.
Can I skip lifting my eye and only give attention
@@agnirelaxgaming Hello! This is explained at 1:52 in this video, basically make sure to look out into the distance, as though looking at a distant mountain peak, that way you won't cross your eyes and it won't be shaky.
@@agnirelaxgaming it is important to do this because it helps to raise our level of consiousness...notice how when we sleep our gaze goes downwards, and when we are inspired we look up and our entire posture changes. So this is one way to understand how the posture and the position of the eyes can help us raise our level of consciousness and helps us go deeper in meditation. Hope this helps!
How to get Diksha..
Thank you Lady. I have enrolled in the Kriya Yoga programme. I'm from Ranchi, and visit the ashram. But you have helped me start this powerful meditation programme. It's really a path to heaven ❤

Thankyou ma"am
Interesting gd demonstration Th Q
🙏🙏🙏
Blessings. Seeking to understand a few points in your practice. How long is the breath typically held after Hong? Isn’t the exhalation Sau process much quicker than the inhalation, and shouldn’t it resonate? Is chanting Hong Sau preferred to Ham Sah? Thank you for any insight you are willing to share. 🙏
Thank you so much! ❤
Namaste
Informative
Good video ❤
thank you.very helpful💐
I like you thank you how do I save all these techniques thanks

Are u Japanese? Or Indian living in Japan
@@agnirelaxgaming I am a Japanese.😊
Hong sau technic inhale noise and exhale mouth is that right
No inhale noise and exhale noise right
You inhale and exhale both through the nose
Are we supposed to exhale through the nose, or through the mouth?
Nose
@@nitzkrish200Thank you.
I observe lot of energy in my throat and little pain while I practice it. Does it happen normally?
Soham🙏
Very useful... thank you so much. Can we learn kriya yoga online. Please guide
Yes, please go here: www.kriyahomestudy.org
@@AnandaSanghaIndia thank you so much..
I just started YSS lessons but I am not able to inhale more than 4 counts. Does that happen to anyone else. Thanks for the video
Yes, it happens very often to people because of bad posture and years of bad breathing. You have to start using the diaphragm more and practice, you will see in no time you will be able to go much more :)
Please post this in hindi also .
Namaste,
Thanks for the help, just had one question...
In the posture section, the basic elements were:
1. Straight back and head.
2. Gaze uplifted.
3. Hands on thighs, with palms upward.
But, in some videos, the instructors said to tuck your chin in a bit, while in some others, like this one, there was no such mention, so I'm guessing that subtle part wouldn't matter much??
Please let me know.
❤️🙏
Hi Swarnava! Chin should be parallel to the ground. I think that some people say to tuck it in because we often draw the head backwards, hence by tucking in the chin we get the neck straight. The rest of what you pointed out is correct :)
@@AnandaSanghaIndia so, shall I tuck my chin in , during my practice?? What do you suggest??
And thank you soo much for replying.❤️🙏❤️
I would suggest that you make sure your neck is in alignment with the spine and the chin is parallel to the floor :) If tucking the chin in helps, then do so. Make sure that you are comfortable and without tension in the neck or anywhere in the body. If to do that you need to do some other exercises (like tensing and relaxing more) then do that too.
@@AnandaSanghaIndia thanks🙏❤️

Is the home study course available in Telugu language
You can find out by writing to kriyahomestudy@anandaindia.org
🥰🥰🥰🥰
I took the SRF written lessons many years ago and I thought we were to place the tongue on the roof of the mouth while mentally chanting Hong Sau. It has been many years since I practiced so I am unsure.
Thats ujjayi. And i think in the advance technique of Kriya
You can simply keep your tounge relaxed :) No need to place it on the roof of the mouth. That is part of a training to learn Kechari Mudra, which is not required here.
I find that when I opened my eyes my eyes are crossed even though they initially weren’t when I gazed up and closed my eyes, what am I doing wrong?
Hmmm... make sure you are feeling relaxed, and that your not "trying too hard" to focus at the spiritual eye.
Can I get it in telugu
Yes we have teachers offering classes in Telugu! Please contact here: kriyahomestudy.org/contact-us/ and they can guide you further :)
for the exhale after holding for 6 seconds, should I be via mouth or nose?
For the Hong Sau technique, you only breathe naturally through the nose. We do not control the breath. The even-count breathing pranayam (in which you also breath only through the nose) can be used as a preparation for Hong Sau when you sit down for meditation! You may enjoy taking the basic course which will help you launch more deeply in your practices, for which you could visit: kriyahomestudy.org/
Should the gaze be fixed uplifted on the third eye during inhalation and exlation too or just at the time of holding breath?plz make it clear.in some other places it has been found that the attention must go with the air going in and going out.as the breat goes in, the awareness should go in and as it comes out the awareness also should follow the breath..should one fix the gaze all the time during the whole process or it shoulf follow breath??
The gaze should always be up when we meditate, our focus, however, will be on the breath, but the gaze stays steadily up. Only if you feel the breath flowing at the origin of the nose (the close to the point between the eyebrows) your concentration on the breath and third eye become one.
When I lift my eyes upward my eyes shake. Can I skip lifting my eye and only give attention?
I have the same issue. Also my eyes move all over the place after a while
Hello! This is explained at 1:52 in this video, basically make sure to look out into the distance, as though looking at a distant mountain peak, that way you won't cross your eyes and it won't be shaky. Relax as you lift your gaze lightly upwards, it is important to do this because it helps to raise our level of consiousness. We hope this helps :)

Where are you from
Just wondering about the triangle breathing 6 6 6 .... why this number. In so many spiritual books this number is a dark side number. Can you please reply about this
Well, it is just an easy number for everyone :) It can easily be 5, 5, 5, or 7, 7, 7, or 12, 12, 12, or any other number you feel comfortable with. But if 6 is the comfortable amount, then I wouldn't be worried about the meaning of this number in other places, just think of it as three separate sixes instead of one all together.
@@AnandaSanghaIndia thanks for your reply 🥰
Should one have to follow brahmacharya to get initiation
No, it isn't required even for Kriya Yoga :)
Do we need to say hong sau loudly? Or chanting mentally is fine?
Only mentally, don't say it out loud nor move your lips/tongue.
As my meditation strarts to settle , that is after say 10 minutes , my major focus becomes watching the breath . And sometimes , though , not always , I pronounce the Hong as Ong , i.e. the 'h' becomes silent . Is that ok ?
Please reply ,
Thanks
🙏❤️
As you go deep, go with what the feeling is. As long as your concentration is deepening and the breath is slowing down, it probably doesn't matter much. But if you can, stick to the proper pronunciation. In time, you may forget the mantra altogether and concentrate purely in the feeling of peace or joy that may come.
I loose my focus from the eyebrow often
And i m little bit confused where exactly i should focus between eyebrow
Please guide🙏🏻
Keep your eyes uplifted, but your focus while practicing Hong-Sau is on the breath, unless you are able to feel the breath at the point midway between the eyebrows. It may happen that your eyes come down, it is natural, you just have to keep trying and eventually it will become secondhand :)
Perhaps the easiest way to do it is follow the line of your eyebrows, and the middle point is around where we ask you to focus :) Hope this helps!
