Gm had a problem with the adjuster hold down they had a recall only one the right side we had to make sure it was in spec but when it’s given to someone like a lube technician or a young technician it get over seen

Yes heard and used locker in the front, I put mine in my old 79 3/4 ton, it came with a lot of free SMILES
I work for AAM [Powder Metal Division, we make the L5P DMax rods :) ], and as strong as the AAM 11.5 diff is, I wish AAM would have designed theirs like GMs corporate 14 bolt. The corporate rear had a rear support pinion bearing and a removable pinion support so you could pull the pinion gear out the front and leave the carrier in place.

My posi is stuck .
My rear didn’t lock up like that. I only feel it around sharp turn going slow. Mine was the posi gear it’s all cracked and missing some teeth. Have any advice how to get that out and replace it

You should do a video on how to install a high rpm water pump it includes 2 stainless steel bolts 1 u put where the stud is by the harmonic balancer so u never have to pull harmonic balancer to pull waterpump again. ..
They have had air lockers for front ends for better than twenty years. Rock climbers use them all the time.

Pinion nut backing off due to improper driveline angles cause possibly unnoticeable vibration, harmonics, and or heat. Been saying it before the nut came loose.

Well it’s not the same carnage that I experienced , with the G-80 it was the engagement mechanism And Cam gear on mine . Witch lead me to the truetrac 😉 . Nice video 👍

Great info to look out for! next time I'm under my LLY I will definitely check my pinion nut, although my wife keeps telling me to leave my pinion nut alone! :) Seriously though, I live right by Brown's Diesel in Riverdale Ca. They are known on the west coast as the best in Diesel!

It was an 07 lbz with 89k one owner for 23k from a dealer! Crewcab, leather, sunroof, it was 4 hours away and sold in the first 6 hours of it posted.. guess I gotta be quicker lol.
