What she's really up to?
Man that song, every time i here it in the show it makes my hair stand, whoever made it knows how to make the something hit home. Konosuba is one of the greats and is one of my favourite animes and always will be. And this prequel isnt what we wanted but what we needed. Megumin is main character material throughout the whole anime series and becomes the second most important character in the series. Cant wait for season 3 this fall

I think what makes konosuba work where others fail is it knows when to make jokes and be funny and when to actually be serious it seems to time things well where most isekai comedies fail.
That's right, there are moments that I would like to see animated but I was afraid that they would not be taken seriously but now I can rest assured

I dont know how magic system works exactly in Konosuba, but I like how Explosion magic is never treated like a fire spell or anything of the sort. Explosion magic is... well... RAW EXPLOSION POWER
Creo que en otros animes he visto que dan la lógica que las explosion es puro mana condensado, es decir, no hay elemento sino pura magia
Luego otros donde lo agregan como magia de vacio porque se crea un vacío en el espacio que es lo que resulta en la explosión
Pero creo que en este anime, aplica más como pura condensación de magia liberada, por eso los destellos son de colores al representar una explosión de todos los elementos mágicos en el área
I found it hilarious that Aqua and Kazuma's arrival distracted Arnes. They helping Megumin before they even met.

I love everything, the characters, the animation, the soundtrack, and over all, the explosive magic, this spin off is incredible, I want to see More of megumin

Megumin's powers are comical and parodical, the embodiment of a one trick pony.
But hell of a trick it is.
Sadly nobody will get far just outnuking everything and everybody in the way.
Megumin it's pretty much useless/will certainly loose in any situation where the enemy can evade the spell, have numerical advantage or they're close, unless she goes suicidal.
That + being a little crazy = She is rejected by most parties.

This is my theory but Chomusuke could be the same demon that Magumin met when she was a kid since first episode when she saw how the explosion magic looked like. Arnes and that demon do look similar which is why Arnes kept calling Lady wolbach her mistress.

This is a masterpiece. Megumin, Arnes, YunYun, and the explosion-- all epic.
I honestly feel bad for arnes she was just a loyal subject trying to fulfill her lord to their true glory. She wasn't evil, she didn't really hurt anyone but was sexually harassed, chased by crazed over powered mages, tricked and swindled by megumin and finally executed with her master rejecting her for a girl she just met.. She didnt even give a fk after her death.

I mean, the fact that Chomusuke didn't want to go with her and she tried taking it anyways has to count for something...
Also, technically, Arnes paid her for taking such good care of Chomusuke, which she did do. It wasn't explicitly stated that handing Chumusuke over was part of the deal.

Fun fact, her sister Zenarith (Goddess of Death) appears in Combatants Will Be Dispatched! (Konosuba's big bro), as they happen in the same universe/multiverse, so all the deities technically exist universally more or less), who only has 1 follower, and the Crimson Demons themselves even refer to her as Nameless Goddess cuz that's how small of a fry she is due to having a measly 1 follower at this point in time. Even Wolbach has more followers than she does hahaha)
