I started watcing this anime first but then later realized there was numerous other seasons of konosuba, should i watch them all before finishing this season or do they not really matter

Alright so there is so much Gregorian inspiration going on here. Miserere Mei, Deus by Gregorio Allegri, that must have been a specific key inspiration to this beautiful piece. At 0:19 you can hear a little chord progression that strongly resembles this other piece at around the mid point OR better known to the internet as that one viral video of a choir sucking in hellium before singing those really high ass notes. In a sense you get an insight into young Megumin's mind saying "holy shit, this magic is fuckin BIBLICAL" lmao. Seeing that initial explosion and finally doing her own, she felt reborn. I feel like there is both real character meaning and meme-ing behind the making of this awesome OST.
Easily the best song that came out of this anime. Hope they eventually release a full OST, but until then, this beautiful edit will be more than enough to fill that void
I think this one was written for a darker story where saying explosion magic is a fool's errand actually makes sense. Imagine she unlocks level 1 explosion magic and wastes all her mana on a disappointing pop that doesn't even measure up to intermediate magic, and she spends the whole series chasing this dream she had as a kid while she's outpaced and increasingly mocked by all her peers (except Yunyun of course) - and yes, she makes progress and has little wins but only by working way harder than everyone else. I feel like they glossed over her troubles to make the show more entertaining and keep the lightheartedness of Konosuba.
Explosion Magic IS the Strongest magic tho that’s the Point Even the Initial Explosion can’t be outmatched by any other magic unless they have an Extremely High level or or are Amped By Some Magic source Only A Handful of people have power that surpasses this Explosion it’s the Ultimate trump card after all.

Ngl, the spinoff is like the only chance to do a bit more "serious" music like this one haha, main Konosuba is just too crazy to ever calm down enough for this music to make sense hahaha

This Spin off and Soundtrack was epic and also if I wanted to know how megumin and yunyun got to Axel town and the arrival of Aqua and kazuma. I look forward to the 3rd season.
I really really like the contrast that in some moments the magic of the explosion has such calm music in the background, unlike the original where there is intense violin music
New game+: life has been not great so far. School problems, family dramas and now my father is going on a pilgrimage to mecca. I hope I can get to see him again and to be able to start a new beginning. (Also thanks for uploading this OST.)
I expected a very good show, but all my expectations have been blown away (pun intended) by the great story writing accompanied by the beautiful soundtrack
