This feels really nice, my cat died of a lung infection couple years ago and she was with me since I was 7 we grew up togheter and I just now realize how much she trusted me.
I’m in the same boat. My family got our cat 3 years before I was born and she lived until May 2, 2019. She was 21 when she died and I had never lived a day without her. I picked up on a lot of these love signals just because that’s how we communicated but it’s reassuring

for the tail, a lot of people think cats only wag their tale when the're angry, but that is not true. my male cat actually wags his tail like a dog all the time, so when he's mad he'll hit things hard with the tail. for the eyes, generally, if a cat keeps eye contact with you, they trust you. if a cat doesn't trust you, looking straight into their eyes will make them feel intimidated, and threatened.
I agree with you on cats feel intimidated when you stare at it. It's because predators stares at it's prey. So if I found a wild cat, I ussually blink slowly and wait until the cat walks to me. And I just pet the cat slowly. Works to a bunch of cats.

You never really "own" them. If not the exact opposite, the situation evolves into the cat being your roommate who does no housework and who you have to take care of and clean after. My Joanna loves to knead on my lap while I brush her cheeks. Brushing is one of her favorite things. She's not usually a massive lap cat, except when the brush comes out. She gets this look on her face, the kind of zoned-out look I've seen on some cats who've gotten into the catnip. Her other favorite thing to do is for the two of us to just slow blink at each other across the room. We can do it for 20 minutes or more, just blinking at each other.

Reenox I’ve had my kitten for 2 months and she does all of this without training. A cat simply gives back the same treatment they receive. Some cat’s just might not be as expressive as others, maybe she does minor things to show you her affection. All in all, I’m sure your kitty loves ya

It's normal the cat actually acomodates with the new place by rubbing , if she/he is scared try pet and be friendly and eventually she will be more relax after some time
@Donnell Okafor i am aware of this...but i just wanted to make a light hearted comment? like i know that stuff can happen, my mom’s already taught be about outdoor cats *and* indoor cats (she’s owned many in her life) so we know what to do. and our “neighbourhood” (if you can even call it that) has tons of cats around and we all pretty much have a mutual agreement not to shoot them. and any big animals that i know of usually stay *away* from our houses and we rarely see them. the most you’ll see is a bear, and usually if you back off they back off.

My cat kinda doesn't know her name. I keep calling her by her name but she rarely pays attention or looks at me after calling her by her name. I usually just make this noise that attracts cats it works better than just using her name. I still use her name everyday to call her she might learn it if I keep doing that.

I miss my cat Jasper, he passed when I was in my Senior year of High School, well over 30yrs. ago and never replaced him that's how much I was in love with him and could never go thru that grief again. Even after his death, I could still hear him and felt his presence at night, because he always slept at the foot of my bed. Being someone who's connected with Spirit, it make sense now, why I was so connected with my beloved and he with me. I look forward to our reunion.
Watching this snuggled up with my orange boy now. It'll be 3 years together this December and I'm so glad that I decided to go to the shelter on a whim the day that I did. He's the best cat I could ever ask for and we bonded with each other right away. He's my baby ❤️

My cat sleeps beside my head on a pillow every night-we have this whole routine; I get ready for the night and set in bed, I start whistling this tune that she recognizes (which for some reason draws her attention and curiosity) and she’ll hop up onto my bed and make her way over to my pillows. I get some people dislike cats but as long as you get them declawed at a young age and let them come to you rather than forcing them into your grip, they are going to form a trust bond with you. I’ve had my cat for almost 13 years and she’s still acts happily as a kitten. They truly are incredible creatures.

I've even heard people say things like their cat is sneaky or tricks them into touching them just so they can attack.
Both Gale and Gara are very precious.. The owners had established strong and special bonding with the cuties.They trusted and love their owners wholeheartedly 😉They will be our best companion and will definitely add tremendous value to.our livelihood and well being😉🙏
I go to my grandmother's house for holidays, and she has gathered a few cats outside the house. They don't get inside, just hang out on the yard. They are provided with the yard as a shelter, and food daily. Pretty much leftovers. So anyway, I go there at least once a year, and one of the cats, that actually looks very unattractive to some, is by far the friendliest. She does ALL of these things while being with me, and has been homeless her entire life. Villages are pretty much like that, animals just roam around the street. Only dogs are actually kept as pets, and that's only because they need guards for their chickens. They must not be treated that well, unfortunately

I got 8 out of 8 plus a few odd ones. My Lynyrd not only shows me his tummy, he really REALLY wants me to rub his tummy. He will grab my hand and pull it back if I quit too soon. Flearoy will give me tail hugs all the time. Plus, they both love to show me what great hunters they are.
My neighbor’s cat popped up in my backyard and I had never seen before. He comes and lays under what I’m sitting on so I put my hand down and he right away rolled onto his back and rubbed his face all over me- *am I a cat whisperer-*
Another thing is if they turn their back toward you, they're showing trust. If they don't trust they watch and keep an eye on you. If they feel safe, they relax and look away, leaving themselves vulnerable.

I trained my cats over time, to allow their claws to be snipped. Not cut short... be careful to just take off the piercing tip so you don't hurt the blood vein inside. No more hurt scratchings or snagging on rug or fabrics... Experience taught them they can trust me.

My cat is female and does several things. Paw my leg or arm. Sleeps behind my legs or on top of me or near by. Get quite mad if I go out and when I come home she is all over me. She will climb onto me to go to or get up from bed and when she is hungry. But will not disturb me while I sleep and she knows when I'm awake. HAVE A HAPPY CAT DAY.
There is a cat that comes to my house: She is playful and trusting and she sometimes comes inside so if my parents dont want that i take her out by showing her treats! I give her them anyways lol. She always has her tail curved and rubs against me. She flips on her backside and if i dont pet her on her head she will start meowing. I like to play with her with tall grass things and she likes to run towards them and jump and stuff. She has a pretty grip on the grass.

If I go to my room, chances are she will follow soon after. She's curled up right into my knees right now. She walks on my chest when I lay back at night and kneads and purrs in my face. She chooses to be with me. She says, "Of all the places I could possibly be hanging out or sleeping, I choose to be right here next to you." I could cry 😭

Humdrum Chicken I know this is irrelevant, but I found out how I can fix my weird keyboard lag thing. Everytime I clicked any key on the keyboard, entire game would crash. (Laptop keyboard) so I got another keyboard that I wired into the laptop and it works!!! I thought the laptop was bad, but it is beautiful!!!

Cats also purr when they’re nervous. It’s not necessarily a “happy” sign. It’s more like they’re saying “I need you to stay here” or “keep doing what you’re doing”
They are actually similar. You associate with nervousness as a negative when it actually is something essential to outside stressors. It's necessary to be nervous sometimes, if you aren't, you arent being careful enough. You aren't utilizing your resources. So being nervous can be a good thing, a cat using a purr as a sign of nervousness is simply just a result of comfort in the protection of someone they love.
It also helps the individual know the cat needs comfort. Its comparable to cuddling, the comfort of doing the task allows the individual to calm down. Cuddling in humans can be something your girlfriend wants at the end of the day to relax, or simply just to feel happier. That makes them happy. I can see how it's misunderstood.
I almost started to cry when I read this. Back in August one of my cats died, and on the last night that I saw her I had stayed awake with her because I knew she was on her way out. I let her have her space on the other side of the room, but whenever I’d go over to her she would start purring instantly. I loved her purr so much.. I miss her.

I knew her time was close that evening, so I lit a fire in my stove, and we were across from each other in the Livingroom. She said a few more "words", and we went to sleep -- she for her last time. She knew to put her paw over her eyes as she breathed her last. God, I was as broken inside as ever I have been, and this old Vet has seen plenty of sorrow. . .

Reenox I’ve had my kitten for 2 months and she does all of this without training. A cat simply gives back the same treatment they receive. Some cat’s just might not be as expressive as others, maybe she does minor things to show you her affection. All in all, I’m sure your kitty loves ya

like i know that stuff can happen, my mom’s already taught be about outdoor cats *and* indoor cats (she’s owned many in her life) so we know what to do. and our “neighbourhood” (if you can even call it that) has tons of cats around and we all pretty much have a mutual agreement not to shoot them. and any big animals that i know of usually stay *away* from our houses and we rarely see them. the most you’ll see is a bear, and usually if you back off they back off.
@Donnell Okafor we also don’t see very many cars around besides people going to the store or work, and for poisoning...We take our animals to the vet ASAP.

My cat kinda doesn't know her name. I keep calling her by her name but she rarely pays attention or looks at me after calling her by her name. I usually just make this noise that attracts cats it works better than just using her name. I still use her name everyday to call her she might learn it if I keep doing that.

I miss my cat Jasper, he passed when I was in my Senior year of High School, well over 30yrs. ago and never replaced him that's how much I was in love with him and could never go thru that grief again.
Even after his death, I could still hear him and felt his presence at night, because he always slept at the foot of my bed. Being someone who's connected with Spirit, it make sense now, why I was so connected with my beloved and he with me. I look forward to our reunion.
Watching this snuggled up with my orange boy now. It'll be 3 years together this December and I'm so glad that I decided to go to the shelter on a whim the day that I did. He's the best cat I could ever ask for and we bonded with each other right away. He's my baby ❤️

My cat sleeps beside my head on a pillow every night-we have this whole routine; I get ready for the night and set in bed, I start whistling this tune that she recognizes (which for some reason draws her attention and curiosity) and she’ll hop up onto my bed and make her way over to my pillows.
I get some people dislike cats but as long as you get them declawed at a young age and let them come to you rather than forcing them into your grip, they are going to form a trust bond with you. I’ve had my cat for almost 13 years and she’s still acts happily as a kitten. They truly are incredible creatures.

I go to my grandmother's house for holidays, and she has gathered a few cats outside the house. They don't get inside, just hang out on the yard. They are provided with the yard as a shelter, and food daily. Pretty much leftovers. So anyway, I go there at least once a year, and one of the cats, that actually looks very unattractive to some, is by far the friendliest. She does ALL of these things while being with me, and has been homeless her entire life. Villages are pretty much like that, animals just roam around the street. Only dogs are actually kept as pets, and that's only because they need guards for their chickens. They must not be treated that well, unfortunately

My cat is female and does several things. Paw my leg or arm. Sleeps behind my legs or on top of me or near by. Get quite mad if I go out and when I come home she is all over me. She will climb onto me to go to or get up from bed and when she is hungry. But will not disturb me while I sleep and she knows when I'm awake. HAVE A HAPPY CAT DAY.

"8. They want to be with you" HONESTLY My family has two cats and one is attached to my parents and the other is very attached to me. She sleeps in my bed all the time, she sleeps with me when I go to bed, she follows me around the house, sits nearby... I moved my work desk downstairs for a change of scenery and even though I've never found her sleeping down there before, she followed me and sleeps there while I work. If I get up, she gets up. If I go to my room, chances are she will follow soon after. She's curled up right into my knees right now. She walks on my chest when I lay back at night and kneads and purrs in my face. It’s not necessarily a “happy” sign.
It’s more like they’re saying “I need you to stay here” or “keep doing what you’re doing”
They are actually similar. You associate with nervousness as a negative when it actually is something essential to outside stressors. It's necessary to be nervous sometimes, if you aren't, you arent being careful enough. You aren't utilizing your resources. So being nervous can be a good thing, a cat using a purr as a sign of nervousness is simply just a result of comfort in the protection of someone they love.
It also helps the individual know the cat needs comfort. Its comparable to cuddling, the comfort of doing the task allows the individual to calm down. Cuddling in humans can be something your girlfriend wants at the end of the day to relax, or simply just to feel happier. That makes them happy. I can see how it's misunderstood.
I almost started to cry when I read this. Back in August one of my cats died, and on the last night that I saw her I had stayed awake with her because I knew she was on her way out. I let her have her space on the other side of the room, but whenever I’d go over to her she would start purring instantly. I loved her purr so much.. I miss her.

She knew to put her paw over her eyes as she breathed her last. God, I was as broken inside as ever I have been, and this old Vet has seen plenty of sorrow. . .
