- I ride a 2020 Harley Davidson Sportster 48 with a TBR 2 Into 1 Exhaust Generation 1. The air intake is an Arlen Ness Monster Sucker.
I enjoy the pure engine sound that comes from the Sportster Forty-Eight and like to relive my rides from time to time. This is a POV motorcycle ride, nothing more, nothing less.
On this drive I drove to Cartel Coffee to enjoy a morning cup of coffee.

I love the driving style and sense of defensive driving apparent since the first intersection. Some drivers just rush into an intersection and then they look, react, break. Meanwhile this guy here stays back, looks twice and then quickly leaves. Perfect example.

Nice vid, thanks. I ride a 1200 Sportster, too. Here in Germany, when it´s winter, it´s too wet and cold to ride, so I created my own POV vids to somehow enjoy my ride in these dark months. I feel you :)
Ha yeah man it’s nice relive rides when we are not riding. I live in AZ and my high today is 84 degrees Fahrenheit. Great now, but really hot in the summer.
Real joy of riding is through all the weathers. Rain and coldness ? Thats when you feel most alive

Yeah this was early morning so not too much traffic yet. Although it's a small downtown area so never really gets bad here.

After my crash a few days ago all I can do is watch this and wish I was back out there. I was thinking about going back out today but trying to hold a 700 pound Harley up with 2 broken knees and road rash head to toe probably isn’t the smartest.

@@eveythingthatsadam I think that's because this bike doesn't have a slipper clutch. I've seen in a different video where the guy was downshifting the same way on a Royal Enfield Classic 350 Reborn. It's to prevent sudden jerks when you downshift from a decent amount of speed.

Great video. Man you're such a conservative rider. I'm always wringing the neck of my Sportster. I've got to say the way you ride looks way more relaxing. I don't know why I'm in such a hurry.. I'm going to purposely ride conservatively this weekend when I get home and see if I enjoy it more.

I had a 2009 orange/black Nightster. Stage 1 with V&H pipes. I miss it dearly. Should have never traded it. Will get another Sportster one day, hopefully a 48 and make it an old school bobber. Just feels like you are riding a motorcycle with the rawness and mechanical engine sounds.
Man that must have been a nice ride. I guess I should never trade or sell this one. That's exactly the feeling I get from this bike, mechanical...and I enjoy that immensely. 👊

Thanks and it’s the GoPro mic, but I use a foam cover to block wind noise.

I like the mirrors below the handlebars, rather than above. I'm gonna try this adjustment on my bike and see how it is.
Yeah it can work on other bikes, this is how the 48 comes from the factory. 👍
Was gonna ask what mirrors those are, but if they’re stock that’ll make them harder to find. Can’t use bar-end ones on mine without swapping the bar entirely, so something like that two-piece clamp on the inside of the grips would be perfect.

My opinion on this bike is that Harley is trying in a 1/2 way sort of way. Why didn't they just change the frame on these to lower the seat and leave the travel in the shocks it really needs? That way the seat could have a bit of a high back right where it's needed, and they could have left some room so it's a bit adjustable forward and backward for different riders. If you have enough suspension travel, the right spring for the rider and adjustable compression and rebound you should get a decent ride. Front fork adjustments for rebound and compression would be good too, with some different spring options or perhaps different length spacers for adjusting preload.
To lower a back end simply by shortening the shocks is something a hack would do, not a real motorcycle company that has engineers.

I’m thinking of going to the U.S and rent a Harley and ride some over there later, when the winter hits here. Instead of waiting 6 months to ride mine lol.
Can you recommend Tucson or any other place/state for that matter in the U.S to ride during the winter months? That aren’t too busy with the traffic jams. And that has some twisties not too far away.

Tucson is nice during the winter, but not a lot of twisties here at all. The traffic isn't bad though. It has it's plus and minuses.
I hear California is pretty good. I'd love to ride the coast on a bike, maybe someday. They have some good twisties there too. I've heard San Diego and northern Cali are pretty good as well.

The 48 and 72 are the only sportsters that I would even remotely consider, everything else is a girls bike. I wouldn’t even buy those two, but they’re the coolest out of the entire lineup.

great video man im currently working on trying to drive my 2022 nightster, do you have any recommendations on different exhaust for sportsters to sound like yours :)
Man that's a tough question because I honestly don't have much experience with other exhausts. I had some slip ons from Krome Werks before I put these on. I prefer the lower, deeper sound as opposed to the higher pitched Vance & Hines sound though. If I recall, Bassani makes some good sounding pipes too.
What is the reason that in US red/green lights are not in front of intersection but at the end of it?
Am I wrong or you don’t put the neutral gear when you stop at traffic lights?
No you are correct, I don’t for safety reasons. I’ve been rear ended in my car by distracted drivers at least twice and avoided two by swerving away when I was ready to roll. If that happens when I’m on the bike I’ll most likely be dead or severely injured. I’m always watching my mirrors and from what I understand it being a wet clutch will not wear out like the clutch in a car for a long time. Even if it did, I value my life more than the clutch. That’s a good simple question and a long explanation.😅
