The first generation Audi R8 was one of the best looking and best sounding cars of the 2000s and the R8 along with the Audi Quattro of the 80s are the 2 most iconic Audi road cars ever made. A 1st gen V10 R8 with a gated manual gearbox is a dream car for many. Every time I think of an R8 I'll always picture Darius's R8 from NFS Carbon or the futuristic RSQ from the I, Robot movie starring Will Smith or Tony Stark's R8 from the first Iron Man movie. I wish Audi would have made a special version of the R8 powered by the turbocharged 5 cylinder engine from the RS3 as a final send-off for both the R8 and the 5 cylinder Audi engine. Would have been a great end to them both.

What I would have liked is an Audi R8 all wheel drive model with the turbocharged 5 cylinder engine from the TT RS in place of the V10 similar to the Group S prototype Audi that never got to race along with maybe a rear wheel drive version as well that would have basically been Audi's bigger and more expensive version of the Toyota MR2.

Fun fact: actually in TDU2 there's another R8 which was the V8 model, named as the 'R8 quattro R-Tronic'. You got to drive that car in a side mission, otherwise it's unplayable by default.
Such an amazing automotive masterpiece. Always wanted to drive this one IRL, loved picking it up in every racing game it was in as it was a fun and competitive car. My favourite versions of it were in NFS, Forza and Grid, the LMS variant gave me a lot of wins in online races. The sounds in PGR's version are fantastic as well.
