    Hello dude!
    Im looking to buy b8 like this one.2.0 170hp.Whats your opinion on it,is it expensive ot maintain,is it reliable enough?I heard that nozzles for this engine are exepnsive.

      2.0 tdi in b8 are on common rail. nothing to worry it's cheap and easy to fix. simple engine fuel efficient. but stay away from 177 CGLC engine

      @@dnbRaiden I got a 2012 A6 with it. They have thermostats problem. In the winter they can’t get to the working temperature so they burn more fuel also with the multitronic gearbox and 20” wheels it’s hard to get under 9L/100km
      There’s also a big problem with the piston rings so they burn oil.

    • @dnbRaiden

      @@ashino8489 Thank you for reply, thats why there are so many 177 versions listed to buy and basically no 170 huh, and if you mind i have another question, is there another engine close in reliability close to the 170 version? Or is there a detuned version of the 170 engine? Again big thank you.

      @@dnbRaiden the 190hp 2.0 tdi ultra some of them come with Adblue but you can remove that via programs also the 190 can come with Quattro. They may be a little more expensive but it’s worth it. With s tronic or tip tronic gearbox which are good transmissions but come in Quattro only. FWD has a multitronic automatic which is basically a cvt it’s not that good. And there’s also a manual which comes in fwd and Quattro. But auto is more comfy and it has more gears than manual so better fuel economy

    I have a 2011 B8 2.0 Tfsi Black Edition. It’s a beautiful looking car that drove beautifully. The only issue being is that the engine has just catastrophically failed due to a blown cylinder. I believe this is related to to the known issue of faulty piston rings in the original design. It looks like the engine will need replacing which will prove too costly vs the value of the car. I’m left with no choice but to have it scrapped. Gutted. I can’t therefore recommend buying one of these, as beautiful and great to drive as they are.

    • @youonlyneedacar
      @youonlyneedacar  Год назад +17

      It is a 6 speed 2 liter diesel, and i am driving 60 in 4th gear at 1400rpm, “killing” it would maybe be 5th gear 60kmh at 1100rpm. Anyways, how would you drive a diesel in the city?😂😂 60kmh 3rd gear at 2200? Remember it is a 6 speed not a 5 speed gearbox

      dude have you ever seen somebody drive? it must be at least 1800-1900, turbo doesn t even work at that rpm, in the a4 b8 manual it says: 320 Nm @ 1750-2500 rpm. the dpf and egr will get stuck driving it this way, you have to feel the engine

      @@user-ub8ryat 1750-2500 rpm is the peak torque, he is not killing the engine cruising at 1400 rpm. Even the automatic version of the car cruises at the same rpm. So he's not doing anything wrong

      the automatic version doesn t care about the long term health of the car, how can you say he s not killing it at 1400 and also saying that 1750-2500 is the peak torque? isn t it obvious? i have a diesel car myself and i clean the egr regularly and i can actually see what happens when you do that@@cobrax8294
