One thing to consider, the Mr. Heater Buddy heater has several models, the model you show has 3 temp ranges, 4K, 9K, and 18K BTUs. The 4K should be just about right for a smallish travel trailer. The 18K I haven't figured out a good use for... Barbecuing maybe?

Disagree about wave 6 being better for your rig. Have one end hot and other end cool. 2 wave 3s one towards each end for more even heating and instead of just 2 setting and fuel consumptions ya gain a 3rd with 2 3s vs 1 6. Say wave 6 at low isn't warming enough but high is getting 2 warm entirely negating the evenly heating issue with 2 3s ya can set both on low, both on high or one on low with other on high so 3 settings basically. Also have a dehumidifier and ur really set.
Short answer is no. Longer answer: The Wave is 3000 btu, the lowest setting on Mr. Buddy is 4000, so it should theoretically have 33% less moisture put into the air. If you purchased a Wave 6, I think they would be similar in regards to moisture.
Any propane heater creates moisture. Just have some moisture absorbers placed in several areas of your trailer. I get loads of moisture under my foam mattresses on my bed due to my breath. And on my windows. You can't escape moisture with moist heaters that don't vent to the outside. I have never vented my 34 foot 1976 Silver Streak trailer but it leaks air a lot and I've never had any CO problems even when I burned a kerosene heater. Just be sure you DO HAVE some fresh air vents open at either end of your rig. Forget Mr. Buddy. It's a crap device that will fail.
I thought people didn't need propane detectors considering they put a rotten egg smell additive so you can smell it. Also how do those heaters not need a flue to vent out CO2?
@@FernbarkFrist ok so if i can get rid of the carbon dioxide that it emits whilst keeping the heat in my campeer this wave 3 might be the way to go....I'm debating this unit with some sort of vented heat

well i ordered one. now i guess i should get a co detector?? not co2 co. carbon dioxide monitor?
A carbon Monoxide (CO) detector
@@FernbarkFrist so i guess i just assume i will get carbon dioxide. that is a given. i just crack window for that to let air in. but with the wave 3 no carbon monoxide is burnt off. but you suggest getting a co2 monoxide detector just in case the wave 3 has an unusual fault of some sort>?
Appreciating your review and the share of it. You are awesome. :)
Thanks for watching!
It says for vented spaces only in the manuel
Correct. That is why cracking a window is a good idea.
@@FernbarkFrist do3s it smell? Im very sensitive
Can this heater also run or possible to run off natural gas instead of propane?
I am not sure. Best that you ask this question to the manufacturer.
No, propane only, can't be converted to any other fuel source.
No! It won't
What max tank size?
Any size tank you want as long as you have the proper fittings and get the pressure reduced to the correct PSI.
Thank You!
You are welcome.
What about Moisture/Condensation is there as much as with the Mr buddy?
Forget Mr. Buddy. It's a crap device that will fail.
if you are burning propane, you will have moisture/condensation.
When you say propane detector, do you mean a carbon monoxide detector?
No, I actually mean a detector for propane. It's a real thing.
Fernbark Frist I did not no that thanks
Are these detectors easily installed? I didn't know they existed either! Thanks.
Fernbark Frist Hello! Would u please tell me where I go to get one? Thank u
I thought people didn't need propane detectors considering they put a rotten egg smell additive so you can smell it. Also how do those heaters not need a flue to vent out CO2?
Nice video. How do you keep it dust free?
They will sell you a cover to put over it when you are not using it.
but it does emit some sort of fumes??????
Mine doesn't have any smell at all.
@@FernbarkFrist ok so if i can get rid of the carbon dioxide that it emits whilst keeping the heat in my campeer this wave 3 might be the way to go....I'm debating this unit with some sort of vented heat
do you still have camco contact information as i can not find anything but camco.net website but will not open. great video thanks for you time and attention.
TC
I don't have their information any more. I would have to look it up the same way that you would have to.
@@FernbarkFrist I looked everywhere and I cannot find the company name or supplier. Any information you can provide would be much appreciated. Thank you for your time
If your gas detector is going you have a gas leak, carbon monoxide is different, not enough ventilation!!!
Cheers 👍
If I turn my buddy heater down too much it can set off my detector; you must keep the catalyst hot enough , and vent air
That is good info!
When you say propane detector are you actually meaning Carbon monoxide detector? Propane in the air in just the right concentrations can be explosive but Carbon monoxide in concentrations above 400ppm can be deadly.
I mean propane detector. You will also need a CO detector.
@@FernbarkFrist - If your propane detector is going off then the platinum catalytic mat is bad or had been poisoned and is not functioning properly- send it in for replacement.
@@scotthelmann5156 where can you send it into the company website will not open at camco.net this is the only thing i can find on the net did they close down? Thanks for your time.
Here is the manual for your wave heater- check the last page for contact information for repairs. vagabonders-supreme.net/Wave_Catalytic_User_Guide.pdf
Hi
Thanks
Still using this heater?
Yes, I plan to hook the propane back up to it soon, as it has gotten chilly again.
Fernbark Frist
Thanks
Thafs burning indoor air if theres flame...
Correct. That is why cracking a window is a good idea.
You don't have to hold the new ones down
That's nice. Wish mine was that way.
Condonsation is a big prob
indeed.
I f you spend a lot of time out in the cold. You might want to go with a diesel forced air heater. No propane and it exhaust outside. Might be a better option than these heaters here that you are using.
Do you need to have a diesel engine vehicle for that?
Are there regular gasoline equivalents?
Apologies for the uninformed questions
@@PapaJoeB no sir. You can get Chinese ones for around 150-200 dollars. They just use diesel fuel but are very a very dry heat and feels wonderful blowing on your feet. You will need a 12v dc power source. I have one on my truck and doesn’t faze the battery on crank up in morning. Hope this helps.
Do you have business inquire email?
yes
