I have an older legion 7 (from 2020) and it still works amazing not going to lie. One of the few gripes I have, also, is the damn charger 😂 this newer legion looks so clean and performs well! Thanks for the great insight, Andres!

Yeah I'm definitely not the target demographic for this thing. If battery life isn't a priority and power (for gaming or ML in particular) is, it looks awesome. Nothing has yet to beat the "MacBook Pro + gaming PC" combo for me, personally. Would be cool to see a review/comparison of one of the new ARM ThinkPads against a MacBook Pro, btw. I may lean Mac in general, but you just gotta love the ThinkPad.
Would you suggest me some good performance laptops for high end 4k editing. I know m2 m3 are supreme choices but I guess I might can't go along apple due to App usage and strong old window guy. just bought this laptop and must say im very impressed. Im a huge AMD fan and thats all ive owned since 2001 so this is my first intel. I had the Legion 5 with the Ryzen 7 and upgraded the ram and installed a second 1 TB drive. Was a great system but i gave it to my son as a gift. This is a huge step forward from the Legion 5. Just installed another 1 TB drive and thats all I'll need to do for this thing. Great laptop Lenovo.

I don't think the panels are plastic, they are aluminium and use a weird coating for the white color. If you get the black color, its all anodised aluminium. Had this laptop for like 2 months now, using it for school and gaming mainly, just blows through everything without an issue. I can't believe how much I love this laptop. Just wish the keyboard area and palm area didn't get so annoyingly hot, it doesn't throttle or anything but it is just unsettling.
i have this exact laptop i love coding on the keyboard all the time. The 32 gigs of ram also allow me to run many things at once. I could be having andriod studio open while playing a video game while watching youtube and having discord open without lagging at all.

Having been using a 2020 Strix G17(2060, 10750h, 16gb) for the past couple years for coding and school and it's been going pretty great but it's struggling nowadays especially with the short battery life on gaming laptops. It might be time for an upgrade to a G14 maybe?
