We used to actually categorize non recurring the cost of hiring thru head hunters/direct hire via temp agencies. We used to joke that the cost of these are so high now we want to come back in a future life as a head hunter..... Some of the costs where north of 25k-35k to hire a salary associate. Which for a private co was a large $ amount. Keep up the good content Bill - I enjoy it
Yes, I've seen companies add back one-time hiring cost. Usually this is justified if the company has an internal recruiting person/persons but for one specific (often high level) role, they rely on a head hunter, thus the one-time nature. Thanks for contributing.
Typically the company I work for will use items such as: legal/litigation costs, M&A/integration costs, goodwill impairments, and reorganization costs (i.e. large layoffs)
How are you Mr Bill Hanna, and I hope you are well, please can you do the lectures on Sales and Purchases Control Accounts? Definition and it's processes to create control accounts, please
Mr Bill Hanna, how are you there, can you please make a video on lease accounting, a lot of people get confused and don't understand the lease accounting including myself.
Please, we need a video about cash flow statement analysis. You have explained and analyzed the balance sheet and income statement, and now only the cash flow statement remains. It is one of the most important statements. If you have explained it, please send me the video link.

Ok
Is it acceptable by accounting standards to adjust EBITDA?
EBITDA and Adj EBITDA don't conform with US GAAP, but the SEC allows them under strict rules.
Thanks for the breakdown! Can’t the investors just ask to see the non ebitda financials?
They don’t have to ask. you typically have to present GAAP financials, alongside non-GAAP metrics such as EBITDA
This was my Masters thesis..evidence of APM in the UK listed firms ..
