    I read that taking so much Zinc will incur Copper deficiency, is it true ? Any other deficiency ?

    • @DiscoverDermatology
      @DiscoverDermatology  9 месяцев назад +2

      That is right if used for prolonged periods. We tend to use zinc for about three to four months at most, so it should be fine to use it without copper for short durations. No other deficiency is associated with it., as far as I aware.

    • @DiscoverDermatology
      @DiscoverDermatology  2 года назад +1

      Hi Ashwajit, thats a good question. I tend to combine zinc with other modalities whether there is just one or there are many. Trying to get the persons immune system to clear the warts is the best principle. For children, I would use topical imiquimod or 5Flourouracil/Salicylic acid with oral zinc. In adults, I would use the above and try and cry a few of the bigger warts. Using physical therapies like cryotherapy, lasers or electrocautery alone tends to result in a recurrence. Combing with topical agents and oral Zinc may be a useful combination.
