Ste fan bengtsson:... so what? Thousands of vocals have been done that same way. Still a million times better and more honest than bloody auto-tuning!!!
Great find, echo with low pass filter plus reverb, double track on chorus, these would be very useful techniques for up and coming engineers and producers.
sbstefan Yes used for ages but the good thing about this video is the music being silenced you can hear what is going on, many struggle trying to get a certain sound and this saves ear strain, like isolating guitar chords makes it easier to sus out the guitar chords used instead of straining to pick the guitar from all the other instruments in a track, point is being widely used for ages means nothing if joe bloggs can't pick it up hence great sound track find ;)
Slip inside the eye of your mind Don't you know you might find A better place to play You said that you'd never been But all the things that you've seen Will slowly fade away So I start a revolution from my bed 'Cause you said the brains I had went to my head. Step outside, summertime's in bloom Stand up beside the fireplace Take that look from off your face You ain't ever gonna burn my heart out And so Sally can wait, she knows it's too late as we're walking on by Her soul slides away, but don't look back in anger I heard you say Take me to the place where you go Where nobody knows if it's night or day But please don't put your life in the hands Of a Rock n Roll band Who'll throw it all away I'm gonna start a revolution from my bed 'Cause you
@@jobelewis6416 I'm sure the attitude back then was that it would just add back to the finished bassline. Besides, the whole song is like a production homage to the way the Beatles did things.
Interesting how there is not much top end on the repeats of the echo plus, when not in the context of the mix, you hear the modulation on the delay a lot more. This is an an awesome listen!!!
1:27 The vocals are double tracked. On one track he sings "HER soul" and on the other "MY soul".
oh yeah

- "her soul" or "my soul"?
- yes
Stefan Bengtsson the Beatles you to do that all the time. You only notice it if your looking for it
We've all done that to be fair
The "You ain't never gonna burn my heart out" is maybe the best Noel vocals that could give to the this world

And shitloads of compression. But it's hardly a groundbreaking technique - it's been widely used for ages.

Noel's voice is ❤️
Noel voice 10 points!
You can hear the bass leaking from the headphones
Kirk Van Houten and at 1:14.. the recording deleted
It would be from the controll room through the walls. Wouldnt have been that noticable before compression and im suprised it wasnt high passed out
