Ok, can somebody explain to an outsider what the deal is with these guys? They seem like kind of the Tenth Planet of drum corps. They're new? They don't do conventional stuff? Help me with some context:)
Personally, I think it's their fresh sound and how they came out of nowhere that contributes to their hype. Their loose approach to drumming similar to BK and the direction of Rodger Carter is a masterful combination. Honestly, I think it's a welcome and refreshing take on the activity.
A bunch of Bluecoats and Blue Knights dudes get together in the winter and get taught by Mike Jackson and Roger Carter. Basically super soldiers of the drum world.
Taking the MCU mantra, if civil war were to happen, it would be Bluecoats on one side and Blue Knights on the other. But being United, it’s glorious. They are the Avengers.
alex boyajian I haven’t been to a finals lot in over ten years... but I have been to hundreds. I was an instructor for years. I get they hype. Just hype in weird places. Like 8 note exercises and such.

We were the first to go on for A Class Finals and Zach Fitsgibbon clapped for us in the tunnel when he was the one going up from Semifinals
Lucky. We were the ninth seed Finals night. I wish I saw Zach. We moved up a spot every night tho so that’s incredible in itself I must say
How it feels to chew 5 gum
Lmao the voice crack he said “he’s gonna do it!”
being in this lot was so hype!!!
Warms my heart to hear all that BASS LOVE. 🖤
Seeing this live was insane. I never thought I’d see and hear this much hype from a Dayton lot.

The rolls at 8:45-11:45 have melted butter on them. Yummy AF!!!
Why does it seem like every video of flawless flams the camera pans over to the snares while the tenors are playing that fire ass lick. I don’t get it

Hey zach
is that the same battery director from the blue coats?
LegacyTV ุ yes
Roger Carter
As someone new to watching drumming at this level, what is the DJ Khaled in reference to? 🙏
DJ Khaled yells his name and name over every song he makes. It kinda just was poking fun at that.
anyone got sheets for dj khaled?
Do all percussion instructors have long black hair, unshaven, and look like they have been AWOL from the army?
Rog has had that look since 1995 when he finally grew his goatee to complete the look.
