They have some of the tastiest and most well thought out warm up exercises I have ever seen. Is this all Roger Carter’s doing? If so, he is a f-ing genius! Man, the kids play so well.
I was standing about 30 ft away from bass 5 this past weekend during their warm up in San Bernardino ca and you can actually feel it when he hits it that hard pretty amazing to watch
I’d argue it’s not necessary. People seek out Broken because they want to be among the best. I personally believe it’s one of the best ensembles overall. Always top tier of excellence. People auditioning already have extensive experience and makes for like an all-star drumline. You see time and time again they take such a diverse skill set rather than one that’s build within the program if they had an open class ensemble. Having an open class where players could feed into the world line wouldn’t produce this result. Broken City essentially markets itself. A line like Pulse uses that feeding system with Chino and POW, and that works for them. As for Broken City, being a member of bloo helps but isn’t considered a primary feeder since many previous bloo members have marched X due to location. Of course, that’s just my opinion on it
Sir 'Quellin Esquire III Marketing. Broken City doesn’t need an open class ensemble to win gold medals. Not a strategy they would benefit from. More time focused on the world ensemble. Fewer staff required. Broken City is also a very new group. Why would they want one? Matrix has been around for 20 years and just added an Open in 2016.
What skill set are they even practicing with 9r? Moeller Mods already works moeller strokes and 9lets, and they have a couple that work flams, so is the point of 9r just to be hard af?
Pause at 2:01 for a new phone background. You’re welcome
Kyle Tsuchiya big thanks sir
Way ahead of you Kyle
I just found a new t shirt design
Thanke

Aiden Brandenburg it’s been a running joke for a bit that this ensemble is blue knights/coats fanfic
It's almost as if the bluecoats and broken city are both run by roger carter so they'd be very similar programs

I've never been more excited
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but prototype quad heads???
I wish the sheets for this version of twitch was available. Hell, I'd pay for a score lol
I love never seeing a front ensemble from anyone!
We did a Break It Down with them! Also - front ensembles are pretty tough to get content of, as they are usually playing copyrighted material.
@@FloMarching true, but the world needs more pit!
Blue City FTW
My tendons are non existent after this
I see my boi Kyle Tsuchiya in that bloo ‘17 tshirt :>
Yeaaaaah
These guys were way ahead of the mask trend.

r they wearing the plastic wrist bands to get used to playing in them for the performance?
Angus Hsieh no The WGI wristbands this year were plastic because they had to last for two days they were the kind you’d have to cut off:)
Wheres the cymbals?

the girl in the gray tank top... 🤤🦊
Aya Strauss. She's awesome and yes, she's in the perfect zone; hard to ignore.
to much head bobbing i dont like that. either all do it or none do it.
I don’t think it really matters for the warm ups. People do it to groove with the music. I think it’s a valid complaint if it’s the show though
