To fix the baseplate wobble, change the 'Tripod Base' screw mount on the camera (part TB1). The C100 came with two types, the C200 doesn't, but it is inexpensive and easy to change. The 1/4" screw hole is in a different position, and completely eliminates the problem you have.
@@powellfilmmaking i also mount it with those two screws, but it still wobles when using the 70-200 and tilting. So i use a little smallrig clamp and clamp it down to the tripod where the battery would go (i use V-mount for camera and extra monitor). Then its rock solid.
Kevin, after watching your video I ordered 2 of those thumb screws from Amazon for my Canon XF705. They arrived today and they work just like you said. What a great tip! Thank you so much. Bob
Gotta say - the thumbscrews hack is next level. Just got it set up on both of my C200s and it's perfect. Can't wait to see what else you post moving forward.
Very good shout on the thumbscrews! I ended up mounting mine on a nato clamp to go with the smallrig top cheese plate so it's quick release but those look like they work well (especially if you don't want to bother having a top plate).
Any tips for the best auto focus I feel like the face tracking box is horrible barley useable even in bright situations it’s not reliable in my opinion which is weird idk just got the camera and I love it but the auto focus is garbage in my opinion I’m coming from a eos r which had great auto focus and a black magic which had nothing lmao so it’s definitely doable but wondering if there is something I could do to make it better
Great video and tips! I am trying to figure out how you use the One Shot AF button that you assigned. It does not do anything when I press it. Any settings it needs to function?
Awesome man. Very well structured video. Well worth subscribing to, which I just did. Wish you all the success with your channel. Keep it up, but no pressure, msn ! Lol
Awesome video man, thanks for the great tips!! My partner and I discovered your channel a few days ago and we absolutely love it!! Straight to the point and very helpful informations, keep up the good vibes :)
DUDE! The peripheral illumination thing blew my mind. I love the 17-55, but I hate how much it vignettes. Usually had to fix it in post.
Thank you! Just bought the C200!
I also bought mine about 6 months ago. How do you like it? Are you using stabilizer for it? How do you get stable shots moving around?
This is gold. So helpful. The separate audio levels will help so much.
Yew!!!
Your channel deserves a billion more subscribers. Very helpful

I didn't even have this problem, I mounted it with a 1/4 20 and a 3/8ths combined and it's rock solid.

Excellent!~ Thank you!
Pro tip. Wedge that shim in front of the baseplate screws instead of behind. Holds it way better and doesnt warp the bottom as much.
So good man!

Epic. I watched this whole thing and don’t own and will never own a C200 hahaha.
Tony Wodarck you won’t buy one....
Kevin Reyes but I will continue to watch your videos!
We all know the ultimate hack would be to enable this camera to shoot 10-bit 4:2:2. Please Canon, come on, just a tiny firmware update.
Great video!
