    Hi - A couple things:
    I think someone else mentioned it but the c.L changes are MASSIVE. His combo routing is quite significantly worse; his pressure - as you mentioned - is weaker, his c.l to c.m frametrap can actually be thrown now too which speaks for itself. Worst of all he can't even safe jab anymore which everyone can do universally.
    The blade impulse changes are a flat nerf - last patch lance got 66l > c.H regardless on hit. In fact it also makes his ult blade impulse corner routes require a frame perfect wall hop now (combined with the wall hop changes). I do think that nerf was needed though, it was a very very strong move.
    The crossover changes are arguably a sidegrade or even a nerf, lance used to do 5u > 6u after a 623l for oki as it'd leave you +1 right in front of them. Now if you're too close to the corner you corner yourself. In a game with very strong crossup protection and a block button it's a pretty tragic scenario to be in.

    Great vid!
    Having played Lance a bunch last patch, I think your takes are by and large correct. He mostly caught nerfs. Another pretty substantial change that you didn't much go into in the video is that you can no longer juggle 5L into 5h in the corner. His corner bnb used to be XX > C Blade Impulse > 5h 214.MM 5l 5l 5h 214.MM 5L > Fireball oki. It built a ton of meter and used only 1 EX. Now the 5l 5l 5h sequence doesn't work, which is really rough for lancelot because he loses access to a lot of damage, meter gain, and cooldown time. you have to truncate the combo with something like XX > C Blade Impulse > 5h 214.MM 5l5l5l5M > empty turbulenz safejump unless you want to spend some sort of resource. Feels bad, his old routes were fun.
    Overall really sad patch for Mr. Lot.

    I've written out at least 4 paragraphs about my thoughts on Lance's changes before deleting them. Why use many word when few word do trick, right? So I'll be as brief as possible: The QoL's he received do not properly compensate for what was taken away. I've coined the phrase "the character feels rusty instead of the people who play him" which is a sentiment a handful of Lance players agree with.
    To expand a bit further, I think it wouldn't have been as bad as it is were these changes made over the course of multiple patches. The fact that it was all changed in a single patch hurt Lance players something fierce, especially in a gamestate where (at least when I read and see what a handful of characters gained) most characters would be on par if not stronger than pre-patch Lance.
    Lance is the only character I've sunk significant time into, and that'll remain true for the forseeable future (Sandalphon waiting room) so while I'm able to still put in a good amount of work on the character, I've heard enough players really struggling with the changes, be it applying neutral pressure or properly landing combos. I cannot in good faith say Lance is in a good state right now, because he simply isn't

      I agree with most of this tbh but I don't feel he's in a bad state. Imo he's still a strong character but I feel like they want us to just play as fast as possible and play more gimmicky rather than being a legit solid consistent character. Oddly enough, seox is a similar type of character and has gotten some helpful buffs while still retaining most of his pressure and has higher damage now.

    I don't know. Lancelot is one of those more unpredictable kind of fighters. Getting a hard read on him will probably still be pretty difficult even with these nerfs.

    does his corner combo with the close light into close heavy still work it was really tight before but idk now
