It's like the robin vs ruan mei debate. Like they're both among the best characters in the game (fine maybe concerto is too fucking broken but still) but ruan mei at this point in time is almost irreplaceable in her niche and shes always at least a decent pick anywhere else. Ever since they intorduced gold and gears ive never been able to complete it with fu xuan as she just gets 2 shot all the time. Aventurine however... just an absolute monster in end game modes
I completed gold and gears from start to conundrum 12 with fu xuan with my main comp specifically running argenti tingyun bronya fuxuan back then. She was good enough to divert insane amount of aoe herself and I also give her useful cards like the erudition and destruction anti death cheat card. Y'all just needs to play gng better and not build a run without survivability.
@@Pepegaphone-- I mean technically ANY sustain can get past gng (other than maybe march) but Aventurine is the easiest BY FAR with preservation being op with his shields AND give many MANY buffs. Yeah you can do it with fu xuan but aventurine is much easier to use. But this is just preference, both are op units
@@viktoryc idk if any sustain can do the job aven and fuxuan does in conundrum 12, the enemies hit so hard that some form of anti one shot is very much needed. Entering aventurine's sustainable and high scaling shields and fuxuan's damage redirection. And my whole point was not comparing the two, rsther, that fuxuan can hold a candle against conundrum 12 fine. Note: I used herta lc during my runs, and always take def/hp stat boost when it's available.
I just think Aventurine is better, as someone who has both built. Aventurine built well almost never uses his skill, gets damage, and just for the job of a sustain, aventurine just does the job better. It depends on how you play the unit for how good it is for you per se.
I think Aventurine is just slightly better than FX also. You made a fair comparison, but overlooked that FX doesn't handle aoe attacks very well compared to Aventurine. Hence why there were so many memes of her panicking when the automaton grizzly uses purge order.
you overlooked how easy aventurine shield shattered when the enemy with high Single target scaling focusing on your dps. My boothill hyperventilated when the elite horseman used bow charge in DU, the shield shattered and boothill lost half of his hp, the shield's major weakness is no joke. However, just like fu xuan this case is only true in extreme game modes like DU, GNG, swarm where the boss can even deal that much dmg to one shot fu xuan and pierce through aventurine shield
sure but that's a one skill fixon top of the FUA reshielding meanwhile without her S1 she can get nuked in EG content or with her low healing can still sometimes let a teammate die. So then I look at them together and I actually gave both I see them as this. 1 Sustain Aventurine > Fx I've had MoC 12 runs without losing HP at all not all the time but it ha happened unlike Fx who has actually died a few times 2 Personal damage normally wouldn't matter but Aventurine changed the game so > Fx 3 Team buff now this is interesting CR and a HP boost vs CD both are good but I'll give it to Fx > Aventurine 4 flexibility now this is interesting aswell but in a harder way so I'll play it safe and call them = here because Fx has the better buffs however unlike Aventurine I've actually lost using her quite often in the 2.x EG meta 5 and lastly in their Optimal Team who is the better unit... this is a easy question let's not joke around it's Aventurine > Fx There you have it my somewhat objective opinion based on some facts and personal experience using them.
Do you even have her? She does NOT struggle with big AoE. Its like some assumption people made to her pre release and refuse to listen to the actual reality after.

Great vid. I personally think the Fu Xuan vs. Aventurine topic is highly variable. FX's best points are her universality and comfort. Aventurine is the more aggressive pick, and his full potential really only comes out with his extraordinary synergy with FuA teams. Both also have clear shortcomings: FX is more vulnerable to powerful AoE enemy attacks and max health-reducing status ailments (as they waste her self-healing procs easily); Aventurine's protection is less effective against powerful single-target enemy attacks, like enemy Yanqing's super move. As a side note: Aventurine is extremely broken in the Simulated/Divergent Universe via the Preservation path. It almost makes you wonder if they ever took that into consideration when they were designing him lol.
@@randyjr.arsenio5624 I use full def with 5k def with the f2p lightcone with 40 crit rate over 80 crit damage. I usually have around 4k shields, I think he means so skill points.

In SU when the yanqing boss nuke and you lack preservation blessing? your dps shield will shatter in mere seconds and even lose a large amount of hp. @@yoyododo9234 in SU depends, for GNG yes the abundance blessings are horrible, weakest path in the entire GNG gamemode so yes, NEVER play abundance in GNG. DU, Swarm? My Fu xuan never get one shotted don't have that problem, just a little bit of abundance blessing and preservation blessing that increase dmg reduction % by having shield, full health is enough to negate all one shots
Uh.. the one time AOE CC resist that Fu has is nothing compared to Aven's resistance buff. Have you tried that cocolia AS fight with Fu Xuan? Yeah. I have never unbenched fuxuan ever since I got aventurine. I was surprised to even bring out Luocha more often as he is still the best and most comfortable sustain in DanIL teams. Additionally, Fu may be slightly SP positive but that small difference affects the effectivity of the teams that they run in DoT/DotCheron is very SP hungry so I choose Aven there. They are both tied in JY hyper carry. They are both bad in Blade team as they take aggro. (The only team where lynx is BIS) JL doesnt need FX crit rate buff and would slowly drain he team's HP, the only good interaction they have is that JL can AA however many times she likes without running out of protection (can happen in aven teams), Argenti - SP hungry so I dont run Fuxuan there. DanIL - Aventurine gives free SP so I'll still take him over FX. But honestly luocha is better there. Ratio/Topaz - You cant expect me to pick FX here. Jade - doesnt care tbh. Both is fine just like in a JY team but jade's HP drain mechanic might be hard for Fu to keep up with. Seele-sparkle is honestly the only team that wants FX over aventurine tbh. So I dont agree that you chose FX to be #1.
The one thing that for me makes Aventurine a hundred times better than FX: his shield at the beginning, I don't need to use a technique to be protected at the beginning of the fight
Imo aventurine is better since his overall teams are better for instance Acheron teams prefer aventurine, fua teams prefer aventurine, sp heavy teams prefer aventurine the only team i can think of that prefers fu xuan is mono quantum otherwise there about equal but in the trans where she could have an advantage huo huo is better
@@shammyyyy with fu xuan, acheron may be able to crit more often but you're losing so many stacks for her burst since the only way you can obtain a debuff is by fu xuan enabling a weakness break on an enemy or having trend lc. aventurine's kit was made to debuff/sustain and with his full kit unlocked he can give acheron up to 3 stacks. acheron will be able to ult more and eventually the dmg will accumulate overtime especially in long battles
@@shammyyyyAcheron gets crit easily from Izumo planar set which she always has active and her pioneer. That crit rate doesn’t have that much value. Meanwhile aventurine contributes much more to Acheron’s stack count
My fu's benched now, but back when I used her with qq, having enemies with DoTs in MoC was the bane of my existence. Otherwise though, she's definitely a good sustain, but Aventurine's fua has saved me more cycles and turns than I can count while sustaining well
@@IwasbagIdk that it matters too much, but you did absolutely fumble most claims. Aventurine’s utility is outside of his kit. While he technically does less for Acheron, Ratio or JY, he does more because of his kit. JY follow-ups battery his follow-up, Ratio needs debuffs and he enables you to run better supports. Acheron gets to ult much faster with him because of his debuffs and because you aren’t running trend on FX. FX’ niche is currently pretty bad because the recent HP manipulation characters care more about getting hit and less about taking HP damage.
This discussion comes down to what you value more and bias tbh. In my opinion, Aventurine is just so much better than fu xuan in follow up teams. Kinda like how you put Boothill at first because of his insane damage gap, i believe that the shields and damage he provides in FUA team is unmatched, and i value this so much more because FUA/super break are the new meta.
Another plus for aventurine is, he's more usable in SU/DU because he can benefit from the Preservation and Elation blessings. FX can maybe use abundance and destruction, but not that well.
I think fu xuan is better at low investment, for the majority of the player base where as Aventurine is better for hardcore player since he can do a crap ton of damage with godlike relics
He doesn’t do that much damage, mine is built for DEF only. I don’t think it’s harder to build aven at low investment, all you need is DEF and you’re chilling.
@@choreli yes but mine is built with 4000 def 106 crit rate and 231 crit dmg With imaginary dmg rope and he do very very good damage. Approximately 35k per ult, 30k per follow up and 16k per basic It’s almost impossible to do that kind of damage with a fuxuan
Idk man I think aventurine is way easier to build than fu xuan. Like you can go full def and ignore every other stat and you'll probably get by. Fu xuan wants high hp with decent def or youll get sneezed on, and on top of that she wants some spd and ER too
Okay i think the last comment is a bit unfair, Jingliu, Boothill and AF supports indeed struggles with Aventurine but also does with Fu xuan since these characters wants abundance units over preservation ones, Jingliu prefers Huohuo or Lynx while Boothill prefers Lingsha or Gallagher, plus, Fu Xuan may have the upper hand with Bronya and Sparkle but Aventurine is better with Robin and Ruan Mei (the best supports of the game)
Jingliu is still my 2nd best dps carry (firefly being top), and ive never once found FX is somehow less ideal with her than Lynx. Maybe if you had a fight drag on and on and on. But it has to be REALLY long before that would become an issue, and any fight giving me thay much grief would probably jist outright kill my party if I had to use Lynx as sustain instead.
The obvious thing to say for fu xuan vs aventurine is it depends. Got a crit dps like acheron? Fu xuan. Running the follow up team? Aventurine. There is one advantage that wasn't mentioned for aventurine though, its a small one but it does make a difference sometimes. his sustain is up at the start of battle without using a technique.
@jett125 actually, even for crit dps is better aventurine For acheron, for example, aventurine enables you with more debuffs and is more skill positive so one of your supports like black swan or silverwolf can spam skill, lowering Er requirements, instead of using skill every other rotation Or danheng IL can do some interesting advance forward with sparkle and tingyun with ddd on two cycling, but needs a sustainer with ZERO sp consumption, aka aventurine Jingliu just obviously prefers huo huo so much more, etc, etc. If you think about it, fu xuan is not part of the best team of any crit dps, or any team in general, 12% crit rate is not enough She is more a jack of all trades master of none
Additional rebuttals. Critrate is more valuable than crit damage. I'll give you that. This is one comfort point I have with FX. However, lets look at the teams that want critrate: JY hypercarry - Fuxuan's critrate buff is massive here. As it makes JY's crits more consistent. HOWEVER. This is only true if you run JY/asta/TY/FX as using SPARKLE in place of asta allows JY to outsource CDMG instead of critrate leaving him free to run a crate body and honestly if your crits are still inconsistent despite having a Crate body, you dont need FX you need to rebuild your DPS. JL - Easily overcaps Crit. The biggest advantage FX has is that her sustain is not affected by JL's constant action forward. Blade: honestly doesnt want either of them. But as I do run blde and Bronya consistently together, aventurine will take the win here. Bronya's action forwards not only speed up blades FuA proc but also puts blade outside of aventurine's sustain duration which is still a positive for him. DanIL : the critrate is massive here again. This time aventurine takes the back foot if we consider a poorly built DanIL. DoTKafka: Does not care abut critrate. DoTcheron: too SP hungry to have an even slightly SP positive sustain Argenti: Argenti easily overcaps crate as well so FX is not needed Boothill - I dont have enough data for boothill. FF doesnt care about Crate. Jade: um.. FuA character for FuA sustain just sounds perfect.
It's not that they don't deal damage, it's just that they're delayed. So yeah, with March's ult, you have it guaranteed for the enemies to be frozen from time to time. And as a shield freak I must say that I absolutely love the details about her shields, like giving additional shield to the character in first position / with lowest hp and debuff dispelling, like in Natasha's healing. Her E6 is a must for players who didn't have the chance to pull for Aventurine nor for Fu Xuan. Though, she can't shield everyone at the same time like Aven, so it might be a problem when you're dealing with enemies, which target the whole team
the problem with fuxuan and cr buff is that eventually, you need to use them in seperate situations because besides mono quantum, she brings no value, and literally every other team prefers aventurine or gallagher or huohuo and then your low crit rate character cant survive so you build your characters for them to barely crit. Its a build issue. Shes good for beginners who struggle with crit rate, but at one point you got to advance from beginner to moc12, and Fu Xuan wont actually increase the dmg output of your team. Avens shield are super strong and the more investment you put, the better. Fu Xuan is like a better Luocha with the crit buff but your teams should be well built enough to be critting almost every single time
March still has one content that she's still very good at & that is Swarm Disaster/Golden Gears (if you don't want to do the money strat) as she was the OG character to use in freeze teams to proc dissociation to clear difficulty 5.
I feel that Fu Xuan is less F2P friendly due to the feeling of needing her signature light cone which I personally can't afford. I also feel less secure using my Fu Xuan than my Aventurine.
Counter point Broken keel on Allie’s combined with Aven’s effect res with a combined total of 48% CD buff for the main DPS which allows some characters with a. High base CD to utilize Crit rate chest piece Example Acheron team comp, FUA comp, Ratio hypercarry, and Hypercarry in general. Broken keel allows Aven to provide 48CV as opppsed to FX 24CV. And counter point to FX Aven boss hard counters her And Sunday boss since AS is now a gamemode eventually Sunday EoW will be implemented into it and Sunday also hard counters Fu Xuan. Honestly any Boss Enemy with a high dmg nuke would counter her in AS.
I think the main reason why aventurine and gallagher is much preferred over fx currently is because of the FuA and BE meta hoyo has been pushing in the last few and upcoming patches. While still universal, not as many teams can utilise her CR bonus now. If hypercarry or crit scaling teams becomes meta again, fx might steal back the spotlight but only hoyo can decide what happens. Wouldn't be surprised if all of them gets powercreeped by the next preservation unit

I mostly struggle with fu xuan in high difficulty simulated universe events. Because no matter how well you build her, her self heal at 50% means if you have a big attack coming and all the speedy chip has chipped you to 60, you are dead. And even then she is just the best for most cases especially at s1 because that lightcone just nullifies 70% of random event drawbacks. In everything that is even close to normal difficulty endgame stuff (PF, MoC, and AS) its hard to replace her cause ive gotten so used to that 12% crit rate that buffers my bad relic luck/crit dmg body.
As someone with Both Aventurine and Fuxuan Aventurine gaps her and its not even close. SU? He is better? PF? Better. MoC? I think he is slightly getting better here too because of the focus FuA is getting. For AS, 100% Aventurine because his ST toughness damage is more
As an f2p who joined in the previous patch, I LOVE Preservation Stelle with all my heart. Gallagher's passive healing after ult, her shield and taunt carried me when The Past, Present, and Eternal Show killed my Welt and Serval. I was at the secong phase when this happened and i thought "DAMN IM DONE", but no, I was able to Get them and false Sunday's battle even if I was shakening after that
The ranking is fine. I don’t mind seeing Fu Xuan is better than Aventurine or Aventurine is better than Fu Xuan. The main problem for Fu Xuan is that she suffers in Massive AoE attacks like Argenti, Swarm Bug, and those two automatons (Mainly the grizzly), so she isn’t a good sustain to use on higher difficulties of Swarm and GaG especially in conundrum levels. Heck even Gepard can survive those massive AoEs than Fu Xuan but Fu Xuan still does better than most abundance characters when encountering those AoEs. It’s not useless tho because she mostly does help well in AS, MoC or PF. Meanwhile Aventurine needs AoE enemies so he can keep trigger his FuA to replenish the shield, him against ST is fine it’s not like all the allies would die anyways but it’s at the cost of him using an SP. I like using aventurine with Gepard LC because I believe the aggro increase helps aventurine stack faster and gives a lot of defense. They’ll all good in their own roles
Tbh I wouldve ranked all the Abundance units together too because their sole job is to sustain, like Preservation characters, and I think it would've been interesting to hear how you think they hold up to the Preservation units. Nice video though
Personally I'd prioritize crit rate over crit damage in my builds, so external crit damage buffs to turn something from 1:1.5 to 1:2 is more preferable to me. I have tried a friend's Fu Xuan and my main gripe with her is that the indicator for her field gets lost in all of the stat indicators and never shows up, which could be dealt with through experience but is still an annoying part of her learning curve. That also happens with Aventurine but he has automatic shield refresh and only when you've killed a lot of weaker enemies back to back. Also regarding Boothill, even if I had Fu Xuan I would take Gallagher over her. The CR buff is useless on him and you don't really see physical/quantum enemies for break-oriented targets. Gallagher being fire with massive toughness damage is a way better sustain choice for all break teams because of Firefly.
Your vids are cool but nahhhhh, you burned the kitchen in this one, lol. Aventurine is absolutely the better sustain unless you have severe skill issue. If you SOMEHOW struggle with his sustain on a hybrid build, just put on full def build with only spd boots (so same as fu xuan) That way he'll most definitely sustain just as good if not better than fu xuan whilst still doing noticeable damage (he scales off of def and gets free cr after all). Also he's MUCH better than her in pf which is also an endgame mode btw and don't get me started on SU modes lol he's literally THE most busted character there not even among sustains just period
@@mrartezi2667 I never said anything about struggling with his sustain, like i said in the beginning that level of sustaining is the baseline. What i meant was that keeping 4k+ defense with good crit stats AND good speed is difficult to manage, usually there is a sacrifice of his damage or his speed, not his sustain. My main argument is that fu xuan provides better offensive utility, not that she is better sustaining or something I dont really take SU into account with anyone, noone should ever pull for characters for those modes, and thats the main medium in which i judge units.

Aventurine gives you a choice: go full offence, full defense, sp generator, or balanced and all of them can be viable! Also the difference between cdmg/img sphere and def mainstat is surprisingly small (you can look up calcs) so you're perfectly fine using those and still getting some good 30k~ fua and ults at e0s0 And about other modes: if you ONLY consider MoC then might as well call it an MoC tier list, no? Idk the criteria at the start kinda implied overall usefulness for the account.

Currently Im at a ponit where I fell satisfied with my DPSs and am only looking get any new harmony characters. In the meantime I have considered getting Lightcones or even the 1rst Eidolons in future reruns for some characters (like Ruan Mei, Fu Xuan or Luocha).
aventurine is the only sustain who is T0 in all endgame modes. he clears fu xuan in every category and it’s not even close. sure he needs more crit investment but once that’s cleared his performance far eclipses all utility that fu xuan has. also honestly if you’re struggling with relic stats atp it’s just skill issue
I think Fu Xuan being better than Aventurine in Jingliu, Seele and Boothill versus basically every FUA character and DOT and Acheron and Firefly. And then when we include abundance units too since they compete for the same roles Aventurine keeps his role secured whereas Fu Xuan barely has anyone who'd rather her over the other sustains.
Both Aven and Fu Xuan have their teams they are stronger with...but currently the meta is that FuA teams are on the upswing and Aven usually works better with them, especially in the best teams that all have Robin...his much more frequent attacks generate more energy for her, which makes him more valuable on any Robin team. And since Robin is pretty much cracked on any team that isn't a break team with Ruan Mei, he's going to end up more valuable, too. Most crit-based, non-follow up DPS are struggling right now compared to Break and FuA teams, and so Fu Xuan drops in prestige with them.
On paper FuXuan is better. In reality, the modes where it matters: MoC, Apocaliptic Shadow, heavlly favored Aventurine lately with Imaginary weak enemies, follow up atacks and needing the continuous sustain and eff res because the bosses are so bulky and spam cc and big AOE attacks. I don`t have Aventurine and had to dust off Gepard for the latest Apocaliptic because FuXuan couldn`t sustain and was doing nothing for the team.
@@labrisericeI mean if she takes like 3/4K a turn with debuffs alone it’s not really a skill issue she can only block 1 CC per skill after all. And have you seen Hoolay insane AoE attacks and how often he hits you she’ll get nukes meanwhile Aven prints shields because of all the AoE attacks.
Aventurine is good if not the best sustain in all game mode, moc, pf, AS, SU gng/swarm, DU, while other sustains are only good in some modes i think that’s the main difference
I did the new apocolapytic shadow with my S0E0 Aventurine without him spending a single skill point, and that team didnt' feel at any point like I was in danger against the kakfa side. I don't see fu xuan being able to do stuff like that. I personally prefer him just because of how strong he his and how you don't need his lightcone for his preservation to last throughout fights where I've seen fu xuans without her's die quite easily in comparison.

Preservation march has one and only one use which is putting it with Clara since these days lynx healing isn’t enough for modern content you can have march to provide Clara increase taunt and aventurine for debuff and team wide shield and the last option can be robin topaz sparkle etc
March is very useful in pure fiction with de FuA buff that summons a buff when 3 follow up attacks are casted I managed to get 40k points with ratio, march, kafka and aventurine in one side and clara sparkle, tingyun and topaz in the other side
I feel like Aventurine being much much MUCH more useful in endgame SU modes makes him a better investment by default. I know most people dont count SU because 'any unit can be good there with the right blessings' but it is still endgame content and you...still need a sustain in them, even moreso because of how obscenely strong the enemies can be. A sustain unit that can actually take advantage of blessings (several types of blessings, even) would automatically be more valuable than one that has to rely on their own stats to survive in a mode where you're expected to play to niches to buffer your unit's own strengths. It's why Hunt is not as useful in higher SU difficulties. That being said, I do...kind of agree with the point you're making? Unless you grind for godly relics and pull for his LC (which i did), he is a little more restrictive in terms of what you want to build on him, because that 4000 def and speed are stats you absolutely need to prioritize before dipping into more dps stats. In battles without much AOE, ones that focus targets (the fucking monkey) and teams without FUA, or teams that take a lot of turns, or god forbid a combination of all those factors, he does struggle a lot in comparison to Fu Xuan. I think people are rating Aventurine very highly right now moreso because of the enemies that are being rotated through the endgame modes, and the team archetypes that are most effective. Enemies that use a lot of AOE attacks? Check. Enemies that use a lot of debuffs that aventurine teams can effect res out of but not as much "hard CC" that Fu Xuan can entirely negate? (like the fucking dot puppet) Check. (Though tbf the dot puppet isnt exactly a good enemy for Aventurine either as none of it's attacks count for his stacks). Team archetypes and MOC/PF/AS buffs that prioritize niches he leans far better into? Check. I think one thing I also want to say is he's also, really effective in breaking enemies (especially bosses) because of the combination of Imaginary generally being much more common a weakness type than Quantum and his ult + FUA, which also makes him very very good into Apocalyptic Shadow at this moment. And unfortunately for Fu Xuan, given what I know of leaks with upcoming bosses and new characters, I think Aventurine will continue to be played to his strengths in a way that far surpasses Fu Xuan. I do believe in her though, even if I don't have her. I don't think she's weak so much as the current meta HIGHLY favors Aventurine in a way that makes him far more useful as none of his weaker points are much of an issue anywhere. On an objective level, he is much better than her right NOW and I think that's why people argue him being better than Fu Xuan but I can see a future where- for example, bosses specifically target a single character and focus them so much that Fu Xuan would be preferred. Like...the Swarm King Weekly when a unit gets Entangled. Units that want hp loss? Units that want hp buffs? She'd be prefered (at least over Aventurine, who knows about future Preservation/Abundance units) damn this was a long essay of nothing. I guess my point is that I dont think you're wrong for rating Fu Xuan over Aventurine, in the overall big picture divorced from the current meta shift that is, by nature, going to promote and cater to the newest units to make its playerbase feel FOMO for not having them. The ONLY reason that I think Aventurine should be rated higher regardless is because of SU endgame modes, as that is, i think, the only major argument and edge he'll have over Fu Xuan as a "general" sustain
"No real reason to use it" Do you know how cracked March is in Pure Fiction if you pair her with another Preservation? (other than Fu Xuan) Without her I couldn't ever achieve 3 stars in the last level. Her counter attacks are amazing as FuAs and charge the lantern extremely fast.
I have all the preservation unit in my account , personally I think Aventurine will be a bit better than Fx giving that there will be more strong Aeo enemies like Hoolay in the future. Other than that, I think the other cmts already state out his strength, so as a devoted follower to the Amber lord, I just want to say that Hoyo need to give us more preservation characters
Until now, no one can beat Aventurine and Gepard. Only two faction under the path of preservation. Fu Xuan is like erudition and harmony in one set. Meanwhile preservation is like undying and get back up again. Regardless any situation. No need to shield or protect them. It's because they can protect themself. That is why I am so tired on waiting new preservation from the two factions, IPC and Architect. Hope devs finally talk more about them. There are so much conspiracies about them.
People hate Fu Xuan for some reason, this is apparent because people frequently outright lie about her like thr aoe 1shot myth. They dont have her and then they use their imaginary version of her for arguments, its wild. That said Im surprised that the creator got E1 FX and not her LC. Her LC is the best thing ever for SU. I mean I know SU isnt true endgame content. But the pre-wave full party heal is just a massive QoL, especially for SU. No need to heal between fights (good for mu Jingliu), and no worries about SU events where you sacrifice 50/80% of your hp.
I know that people still compare Fu Xuan to Aventurine but me I can't, if I had to compare Aventurine it would be to Gepard. Fu Xuan is a mitigation "tank" just that fact is enough for me to not compare them.
I have a 9k hp 50% effect res and 1500 def with 2/9/9/9 traces and 135 speed herta store LC s4. Even with all that she do faces sustaining issues against bosses with AOE. Heck this is after I use HP/Def on my harmony units with Firefly(who already has 40% inbuilt dmg res). I don’t have aventurine so can’t say much about him though.
I have both E0S1 Fu Xuan and E0S0 Aventurine. My Fu Xuan is has 8k hp, 1.9k DF, 131 energy regen, and 135 speed also maxed traces. The person in the video didnt even mention Aventurine solos swarm disaster and G&G and Fu Xuan gets one shotted

If you read what i said, Aventurine’s shield unlocks doors and using the preservation path, he gives you a 20k shield to all allies making you unkillable. Fu Xuan cant give shields but mitigate damage taken to herself. For a sustain Aventurine is easily better, Fu Xuan is good for giving buffs and keeping the team alive and using her in many teams.

Na Aventurine is much better, his shield is very good. Both are very good for all end game modes with exception of any related to simulated universe. In gold and gears in Conundrum difficulty then Fu Xuan just get one shot with a single AoE of an enemy boss. The same for Divergent Universe.
me who has to skill every time in new endgames to generate fu xuan ult fast with err rope with 7k hp so she dosnt die but she cant do shit against dot enemies like they will melt her like drunken one so i think aventurive is better ill get him on rerun
If that is the case prep a broken keel set for him and the supports if you are using a hypercarry or FUA team comp. It’s pretty decent set and gets you 30% free CD on your main dps or duo dps setups and 48% if we count his ULT.

I think Aventurine is better than Fu Xuan, I've never had difficulty surviving high difficulty challenges with Aventurine, mainly because his shield constantly regenerates, but Fu Xuan often ends up dying in AoE bosses, this was the case with the last Apocalyptic Shadow on the Argenti side, on the Cocolia side not so much, but on both sides I had difficulty passing it with her, and with the Aventurine I had no problems on either side.
I like both top 2 but always liked fu xuan slightly more and now I can use your actual thought out reasoning instead of “she’s pink and cute and smart like my girlfriend”
You lost me on that last one Fu has too many weakness compare to aventurine: Vulnerable to aoe Weak to anti-heal/health (some enemy reduce max hp/heal) Weak to dot Not to mention high difficulty g&g,divergent completely destroy her, i have no use for her ever since i got aventurine, even for acheron team aven is still better because he has debuff in his kit while fu has none

Don't worry I have an even spicier take that gepard is only slightly worse than aventurine. The ability to use that ult ***whenever you want*** is so comfortable to use cause you can be completely reactionary with it. he doesn't suffer from the Fu Xuan thing of getting nuked by a strong aoe hit, He just gets back up again and throws up another shield. *and* 35% of his defense gets converted to attack so he's not even hitting for that little when you give him big defence relics.
The CC comparaison is weird FX give 1 CC resist to the whole team but Aven 1 give himself a CC resist every he FuA 2 give every 50% res so your support that naturally have res have 80% and your dps as minimum 50% and you want me to believe FX as better CC protection ok what do you do if you get CC 2 time in a row ? honestly can't agree. fu xuan provides crit value for the team, which is good, but aside from that aventurine does everything else better. aventurine has better sustainability, sp positive, applies debuff with crit dmg boost, BiS for any FUA dps and works much more cohesively in most teams. especially teams that want robin because he basically does 5x - 8x fu xuans dmg under concerto with his ult and fua, raising the teams overall dmg

Aventurine survabilty is never a issue? The diffrence between a good Aventurine build and bad one is in how often they have to use their skill. Neither build should ever run into any sustain issues and shields are way way better in Golden Gears,Swarm disaster and Divergent universe as at some point Fu xuan takes to much damage.
@Zeru258 yes I never run into problems with aventurine however if something does break his shield or a unit gets focused there is almost nothing he is able to do since fu xuan is able to heal herself and others and re direct dmg rather than make the unit tank it 👍
@@hxm1sh259 If something is strong enough to break a Aventurine shield and one shot a unit then Fu xuan damage Reduktion wouldn't help much either. You usally at most take like 5-10% damage the few times where you get a shield break. Which dosen't matters as even if a unit losses 50% of their HP as long as the unit dosen't die it has no actuall effect on the clear. Mind you these shieldbreaks can almost always be bypassed by using his skill more. Even then you can just swap out a crit relic for a defense one in that occosion. Even in non fua teams I never run into a sustain issue,as the only in game content where enemys could do that much damage is SU and there persavation blessing exist.

Ever since they intorduced gold and gears ive never been able to complete it with fu xuan as she just gets 2 shot all the time. Aventurine however... just an absolute monster in end game modes
Any AoE bosses can instantly one shot Fu Xuan. Heck even Gepard can sustain all of that than her.
I completed gold and gears from start to conundrum 12 with fu xuan with my main comp specifically running argenti tingyun bronya fuxuan back then. She was good enough to divert insane amount of aoe herself and I also give her useful cards like the erudition and destruction anti death cheat card. Y'all just needs to play gng better and not build a run without survivability.

Entering aventurine's sustainable and high scaling shields and fuxuan's damage redirection. And my whole point was not comparing the two, rsther, that fuxuan can hold a candle against conundrum 12 fine. Note: I used herta lc during my runs, and always take def/hp stat boost when it's available.
I feel that its better to take no damage direct from your health bar than take damage from your helath bar and heal afterwards 🤷♂️
I just think Aventurine is better, as someone who has both built. Aventurine built well almost never uses his skill, gets damage, and just for the job of a sustain, aventurine just does the job better. It depends on how you play the unit for how good it is for you per se.
I think Aventurine is just slightly better than FX also. You made a fair comparison, but overlooked that FX doesn't handle aoe attacks very well compared to Aventurine.
Hence why there were so many memes of her panicking when the automaton grizzly uses purge order.
you overlooked how easy aventurine shield shattered when the enemy with high Single target scaling focusing on your dps. My boothill hyperventilated when the elite horseman used bow charge in DU, the shield shattered and boothill lost half of his hp, the shield's major weakness is no joke. However, just like fu xuan this case is only true in extreme game modes like DU, GNG, swarm where the boss can even deal that much dmg to one shot fu xuan and pierce through aventurine shield
sure but that's a one skill fixon top of the FUA reshielding meanwhile without her S1 she can get nuked in EG content or with her low healing can still sometimes let a teammate die.
So then I look at them together and I actually gave both I see them as this.
1 Sustain Aventurine > Fx I've had MoC 12 runs without losing HP at all not all the time but it ha happened unlike Fx who has actually died a few times
2 Personal damage normally wouldn't matter but Aventurine changed the game so > Fx
3 Team buff now this is interesting CR and a HP boost vs CD both are good but I'll give it to Fx > Aventurine
4 flexibility now this is interesting aswell but in a harder way so I'll play it safe and call them = here because Fx has the better buffs however unlike Aventurine I've actually lost using her quite often in the 2.x EG meta
5 and lastly in their Optimal Team who is the better unit... this is a easy question let's not joke around it's Aventurine > Fx

Great vid. I personally think the Fu Xuan vs. Aventurine topic is highly variable. FX's best points are her universality and comfort. Aventurine is the more aggressive pick, and his full potential really only comes out with his extraordinary synergy with FuA teams.
Both also have clear shortcomings: FX is more vulnerable to powerful AoE enemy attacks and max health-reducing status ailments (as they waste her self-healing procs easily); Aventurine's protection is less effective against powerful single-target enemy attacks, like enemy Yanqing's super move.
As a side note: Aventurine is extremely broken in the Simulated/Divergent Universe via the Preservation path. It almost makes you wonder if they ever took that into consideration when they were designing him lol.

My Fu xuan never get one shotted don't have that problem, just a little bit of abundance blessing and preservation blessing that increase dmg reduction % by having shield, full health is enough to negate all one shots
Uh.. the one time AOE CC resist that Fu has is nothing compared to Aven's resistance buff. Have you tried that cocolia AS fight with Fu Xuan? Yeah. I have never unbenched fuxuan ever since I got aventurine. I was surprised to even bring out Luocha more often as he is still the best and most comfortable sustain in DanIL teams.
Additionally, Fu may be slightly SP positive but that small difference affects the effectivity of the teams that they run in
DoT/DotCheron is very SP hungry so I choose Aven there.
They are both tied in JY hyper carry.
They are both bad in Blade team as they take aggro. (The only team where lynx is BIS)
JL doesnt need FX crit rate buff and would slowly drain he team's HP, the only good interaction they have is that JL can AA however many times she likes without running out of protection (can happen in aven teams),
Argenti - SP hungry so I dont run Fuxuan there.
DanIL - Aventurine gives free SP so I'll still take him over FX. But honestly luocha is better there.
Ratio/Topaz - You cant expect me to pick FX here.
Jade - doesnt care tbh. Both is fine just like in a JY team but jade's HP drain mechanic might be hard for Fu to keep up with.
Seele-sparkle is honestly the only team that wants FX over aventurine tbh. So I dont agree that you chose FX to be #1.

Imo aventurine is better since his overall teams are better for instance Acheron teams prefer aventurine, fua teams prefer aventurine, sp heavy teams prefer aventurine the only team i can think of that prefers fu xuan is mono quantum otherwise there about equal but in the trans where she could have an advantage huo huo is better
I use FU over adventurine for Acheron. The CR buff is pretty big
@@shammyyyy with fu xuan, acheron may be able to crit more often but you're losing so many stacks for her burst since the only way you can obtain a debuff is by fu xuan enabling a weakness break on an enemy or having trend lc. aventurine's kit was made to debuff/sustain and with his full kit unlocked he can give acheron up to 3 stacks. acheron will be able to ult more and eventually the dmg will accumulate overtime especially in long battles
If you have both Aventurine and Fu Xuan, best choice for your Acheron sustain is....

My fu's benched now, but back when I used her with qq, having enemies with DoTs in MoC was the bane of my existence. Otherwise though, she's definitely a good sustain, but Aventurine's fua has saved me more cycles and turns than I can count while sustaining well

Aventurine’s utility is outside of his kit. While he technically does less for Acheron, Ratio or JY, he does more because of his kit. JY follow-ups battery his follow-up, Ratio needs debuffs and he enables you to run better supports. Acheron gets to ult much faster with him because of his debuffs and because you aren’t running trend on FX.
FX’ niche is currently pretty bad because the recent HP manipulation characters care more about getting hit and less about taking HP damage.

This discussion comes down to what you value more and bias tbh. In my opinion, Aventurine is just so much better than fu xuan in follow up teams. Kinda like how you put Boothill at first because of his insane damage gap, i believe that the shields and damage he provides in FUA team is unmatched, and i value this so much more because FUA/super break are the new meta.
As someone whose account's gameplay has been literally changed with both Boothill and Aventurine, I agree with this
Another plus for aventurine is, he's more usable in SU/DU because he can benefit from the Preservation and Elation blessings.

I think fu xuan is better at low investment, for the majority of the player base where as Aventurine is better for hardcore player since he can do a crap ton of damage with godlike relics
He doesn’t do that much damage, mine is built for DEF only. I don’t think it’s harder to build aven at low investment, all you need is DEF and you’re chilling.

Okay i think the last comment is a bit unfair, Jingliu, Boothill and AF supports indeed struggles with Aventurine but also does with Fu xuan since these characters wants abundance units over preservation ones, Jingliu prefers Huohuo or Lynx while Boothill prefers Lingsha or Gallagher, plus, Fu Xuan may have the upper hand with Bronya and Sparkle but Aventurine is better with Robin and Ruan Mei (the best supports of the game)
Jingliu is still my 2nd best dps carry (firefly being top), and ive never once found FX is somehow less ideal with her than Lynx. Maybe if you had a fight drag on and on and on. But it has to be REALLY long before that would become an issue, and any fight giving me thay much grief would probably jist outright kill my party if I had to use Lynx as sustain instead.

The obvious thing to say for fu xuan vs aventurine is it depends. Got a crit dps like acheron? Fu xuan. Running the follow up team? Aventurine. There is one advantage that wasn't mentioned for aventurine though, its a small one but it does make a difference sometimes. his sustain is up at the start of battle without using a technique.

Additional rebuttals.
Critrate is more valuable than crit damage. I'll give you that. This is one comfort point I have with FX. However, lets look at the teams that want critrate:
JY hypercarry - Fuxuan's critrate buff is massive here. As it makes JY's crits more consistent. HOWEVER. This is only true if you run JY/asta/TY/FX as using SPARKLE in place of asta allows JY to outsource CDMG instead of critrate leaving him free to run a crate body and honestly if your crits are still inconsistent despite having a Crate body, you dont need FX you need to rebuild your DPS.
JL - Easily overcaps Crit. The biggest advantage FX has is that her sustain is not affected by JL's constant action forward.
Blade: honestly doesnt want either of them. But as I do run blde and Bronya consistently together, aventurine will take the win here. Bronya's action forwards not only speed up blades FuA proc but also puts blade outside of aventurine's sustain duration which is still a positive for him.
DanIL : the critrate is massive here again. This time aventurine takes the back foot if we consider a poorly built DanIL.
DoTKafka: Does not care abut critrate.
DoTcheron: too SP hungry to have an even slightly SP positive sustain
Argenti: Argenti easily overcaps crate as well so FX is not needed
Boothill - I dont have enough data for boothill.
FF doesnt care about Crate.

It's not that they don't deal damage, it's just that they're delayed. So yeah, with March's ult, you have it guaranteed for the enemies to be frozen from time to time. And as a shield freak I must say that I absolutely love the details about her shields, like giving additional shield to the character in first position / with lowest hp and debuff dispelling, like in Natasha's healing. Her E6 is a must for players who didn't have the chance to pull for Aventurine nor for Fu Xuan. the problem with fuxuan and cr buff is that eventually, you need to use them in seperate situations because besides mono quantum, she brings no value, and literally every other team prefers aventurine or gallagher or huohuo and then your low crit rate character cant survive so you build your characters for them to barely crit. Its a build issue. Shes good for beginners who struggle with crit rate, but at one point you got to advance from beginner to moc12, and Fu Xuan wont actually increase the dmg output of your team. Avens shield are super strong and the more investment you put, the better. Fu Xuan is like a better Luocha with the crit buff but your teams should be well built enough to be critting almost every single time
March still has one content that she's still very good at & that is Swarm Disaster/Golden Gears (if you don't want to do the money strat) as she was the OG character to use in freeze teams to proc dissociation to clear difficulty 5.
I feel that Fu Xuan is less F2P friendly due to the feeling of needing her signature light cone which I personally can't afford. I also feel less secure using my Fu Xuan than my Aventurine.
Counter point Broken keel on Allie’s combined with Aven’s effect res with a combined total of 48% CD buff for the main DPS which allows some characters with a. High base CD to utilize Crit rate chest piece Example Acheron team comp, FUA comp, Ratio hypercarry, and Hypercarry in general. Broken keel allows Aven to provide 48CV as opppsed to FX 24CV. And counter point to FX Aven boss hard counters her And Sunday boss since AS is now a gamemode eventually Sunday EoW will be implemented into it and Sunday also hard counters Fu Xuan. Honestly any Boss Enemy with a high dmg nuke would counter her in AS.

I think the main reason why aventurine and gallagher is much preferred over fx currently is because of the FuA and BE meta hoyo has been pushing in the last few and upcoming patches. While still universal, not as many teams can utilise her CR bonus now.
If hypercarry or crit scaling teams becomes meta again, fx might steal back the spotlight but only hoyo can decide what happens. Wouldn't be surprised if all of them gets powercreeped by the next preservation unit

I mostly struggle with fu xuan in high difficulty simulated universe events. Because no matter how well you build her, her self heal at 50% means if you have a big attack coming and all the speedy chip has chipped you to 60, you are dead.
And even then she is just the best for most cases especially at s1 because that lightcone just nullifies 70% of random event drawbacks.
In everything that is even close to normal difficulty endgame stuff (PF, MoC, and AS) its hard to replace her cause ive gotten so used to that 12% crit rate that buffers my bad relic luck/crit dmg body.
As someone with Both Aventurine and Fuxuan Aventurine gaps her and its not even close. SU? He is better? PF? Better. MoC? I think he is slightly getting better here too because of the focus FuA is getting. For AS, 100% Aventurine because his ST toughness damage is more
As an f2p who joined in the previous patch, I LOVE Preservation Stelle with all my heart. Gallagher's passive healing after ult, her shield and taunt carried me when The Past, Present, and Eternal Show killed my Welt and Serval. I was at the secong phase when this happened and i thought "DAMN IM DONE", but no, I was able to Get them and false Sunday's battle even if I was shakening after that
The ranking is fine. I don’t mind seeing Fu Xuan is better than Aventurine or Aventurine is better than Fu Xuan. The main problem for Fu Xuan is that she suffers in Massive AoE attacks like Argenti, Swarm Bug, and those two automatons (Mainly the grizzly), so she isn’t a good sustain to use on higher difficulties of Swarm and GaG especially in conundrum levels. Heck even Gepard can survive those massive AoEs than Fu Xuan but Fu Xuan still does better than most abundance characters when encountering those AoEs.
It’s not useless tho because she mostly does help well in AS, MoC or PF. Meanwhile Aventurine needs AoE enemies so he can keep trigger his FuA to replenish the shield, him against ST is fine it’s not like all the allies would die anyways but it’s at the cost of him using an SP. I like using aventurine with Gepard LC because I believe the aggro increase helps aventurine stack faster and gives a lot of defense.

You kinda missed the mark on the Aven vs FXpart. I have them both and there is no world in which FX is better in Aventruine.
Personally I'd prioritize crit rate over crit damage in my builds, so external crit damage buffs to turn something from 1:1.5 to 1:2 is more preferable to me. I have tried a friend's Fu Xuan and my main gripe with her is that the indicator for her field gets lost in all of the stat indicators and never shows up, which could be dealt with through experience but is still an annoying part of her learning curve. That also happens with Aventurine but he has automatic shield refresh and only when you've killed a lot of weaker enemies back to back.
Also regarding Boothill, even if I had Fu Xuan I would take Gallagher over her. The CR buff is useless on him and you don't really see physical/quantum enemies for break-oriented targets. Gallagher being fire with massive toughness damage is a way better sustain choice for all break teams because of Firefly.

Aventurine is absolutely the better sustain unless you have severe skill issue. If you SOMEHOW struggle with his sustain on a hybrid build, just put on full def build with only spd boots (so same as fu xuan)
That way he'll most definitely sustain just as good if not better than fu xuan whilst still doing noticeable damage (he scales off of def and gets free cr after all).
Also he's MUCH better than her in pf which is also an endgame mode btw and don't get me started on SU modes lol he's literally THE most busted character there not even among sustains just period

What i meant was that keeping 4k+ defense with good crit stats AND good speed is difficult to manage, usually there is a sacrifice of his damage or his speed, not his sustain.

I dont really take SU into account with anyone, noone should ever pull for characters for those modes, and thats the main medium in which i judge units.

Also the difference between cdmg/img sphere and def mainstat is surprisingly small (you can look up calcs) so you're perfectly fine using those and still getting some good 30k~ fua and ults at e0s0
And about other modes: if you ONLY consider MoC then might as well call it an MoC tier list, no? Idk the criteria at the start kinda implied overall usefulness for the account.

aventurine is the only sustain who is T0 in all endgame modes. he clears fu xuan in every category and it’s not even close. sure he needs more crit investment but once that’s cleared his performance far eclipses all utility that fu xuan has. also honestly if you’re struggling with relic stats atp it’s just skill issue
I think Fu Xuan being better than Aventurine in Jingliu, Seele and Boothill versus basically every FUA character and DOT and Acheron and Firefly. And then when we include abundance units too since they compete for the same roles Aventurine keeps his role secured whereas Fu Xuan barely has anyone who'd rather her over the other sustains.
Both Aven and Fu Xuan have their teams they are stronger with...but currently the meta is that FuA teams are on the upswing and Aven usually works better with them, especially in the best teams that all have Robin...his much more frequent attacks generate more energy for her, which makes him more valuable on any Robin team. And since Robin is pretty much cracked on any team that isn't a break team with Ruan Mei, he's going to end up more valuable, too. Most crit-based, non-follow up DPS are struggling right now compared to Break and FuA teams, and so Fu Xuan drops in prestige with them.

On paper FuXuan is better. In reality, the modes where it matters: MoC, Apocaliptic Shadow, heavlly favored Aventurine lately with Imaginary weak enemies, follow up atacks and needing the continuous sustain and eff res because the bosses are so bulky and spam cc and big AOE attacks.
I don`t have Aventurine and had to dust off Gepard for the latest Apocaliptic because FuXuan couldn`t sustain and was doing nothing for the team.
Also bosses spam debuffs like dot which melts FX hp

I did the new apocolapytic shadow with my S0E0 Aventurine without him spending a single skill point, and that team didnt' feel at any point like I was in danger against the kakfa side. I don't see fu xuan being able to do stuff like that. I personally prefer him just because of how strong he his and how you don't need his lightcone for his preservation to last throughout fights where I've seen fu xuans without her's die quite easily in comparison.

Preservation march has one and only one use which is putting it with Clara since these days lynx healing isn’t enough for modern content you can have march to provide Clara increase taunt and aventurine for debuff and team wide shield and the last option can be robin topaz sparkle etc
And she isn't even the best sustain for Clara anymore.
I need to “rebuild” my Fu Xuan since she barely survived with any AoE attack since she only has 135 speed with 2.1 k defense and 5.8 k hp
March is very useful in pure fiction with de FuA buff that summons a buff when 3 follow up attacks are casted
I managed to get 40k points with ratio, march, kafka and aventurine in one side and clara sparkle, tingyun and topaz in the other side
The only reason why i would prefer aventurine over fu xuan is probably because shield looks safer even if it probably isn't
I feel like Aventurine being much much MUCH more useful in endgame SU modes makes him a better investment by default. I know most people dont count SU because 'any unit can be good there with the right blessings' but it is still endgame content and you...still need a sustain in them, even moreso because of how obscenely strong the enemies can be. A sustain unit that can actually take advantage of blessings (several types of blessings, even) would automatically be more valuable than one that has to rely on their own stats to survive in a mode where you're expected to play to niches to buffer your unit's own strengths. It's why Hunt is not as useful in higher SU difficulties.
That being said, I do...kind of agree with the point you're making? Unless you grind for godly relics and pull for his LC (which i did), he is a little more restrictive in terms of what you want to build on him, because that 4000 def and speed are stats you absolutely need to prioritize before dipping into more dps stats. In battles without much AOE, ones that focus targets (the fucking monkey) and teams without FUA, or teams that take a lot of turns, or god forbid a combination of all those factors, he does struggle a lot in comparison to Fu Xuan. I think people are rating Aventurine very highly right now moreso because of the enemies that are being rotated through the endgame modes, and the team archetypes that are most effective. Enemies that use a lot of AOE attacks? Check. Enemies that use a lot of debuffs that aventurine teams can effect res out of but not as much "hard CC" that Fu Xuan can entirely negate? (like the fucking dot puppet) Check. (Though tbf the dot puppet isnt exactly a good enemy for Aventurine either as none of it's attacks count for his stacks). Team archetypes and MOC/PF/AS buffs that prioritize niches he leans far better into? Check.
I think one thing I also want to say is he's also, really effective in breaking enemies (especially bosses) because of the combination of Imaginary generally being much more common a weakness type than Quantum and his ult + FUA, which also makes him very very good into Apocalyptic Shadow at this moment. And unfortunately for Fu Xuan, given what I know of leaks with upcoming bosses and new characters, I think Aventurine will continue to be played to his strengths in a way that far surpasses Fu Xuan.
I do believe in her though, even if I don't have her. I don't think she's weak so much as the current meta HIGHLY favors Aventurine in a way that makes him far more useful as none of his weaker points are much of an issue anywhere. On an objective level, he is much better than her right NOW and I think that's why people argue him being better than Fu Xuan but I can see a future where- for example, bosses specifically target a single character and focus them so much that Fu Xuan would be preferred. Like...the Swarm King Weekly when a unit gets Entangled. Units that want hp loss? Units that want hp buffs? She'd be prefered (at least over Aventurine, who knows about future Preservation/Abundance units)

I guess my point is that I dont think you're wrong for rating Fu Xuan over Aventurine, in the overall big picture divorced from the current meta shift that is, by nature, going to promote and cater to the newest units to make its playerbase feel FOMO for not having them. The ONLY reason that I think Aventurine should be rated higher regardless is because of SU endgame modes, as that is, i think, the only major argument and edge he'll have over Fu Xuan as a "general" sustain

I have all the preservation unit in my account , personally I think Aventurine will be a bit better than Fx giving that there will be more strong Aeo enemies like Hoolay in the future. Other than that, I think the other cmts already state out his strength, so as a devoted follower to the Amber lord, I just want to say that Hoyo need to give us more preservation characters

Until now, no one can beat Aventurine and Gepard. Only two faction under the path of preservation. Fu Xuan is like erudition and harmony in one set. Meanwhile preservation is like undying and get back up again. Regardless any situation. No need to shield or protect them. It's because they can protect themself. That is why I am so tired on waiting new preservation from the two factions, IPC and Architect. Hope devs finally talk more about them. There are so much conspiracies about them.
People hate Fu Xuan for some reason, this is apparent because people frequently outright lie about her like thr aoe 1shot myth. They dont have her and then they use their imaginary version of her for arguments, its wild.
That said Im surprised that the creator got E1 FX and not her LC. Her LC is the best thing ever for SU. I mean I know SU isnt true endgame content. But the pre-wave full party heal is just a massive QoL, especially for SU. No need to heal between fights (good for mu Jingliu), and no worries about SU events where you sacrifice 50/80% of your hp.
Aventurine is also able to resist CC (1 every 2 turns iirc)

Fu Xuan is a mitigation "tank" just that fact is enough for me to not compare them.
I have a 9k hp 50% effect res and 1500 def with 2/9/9/9 traces and 135 speed herta store LC s4. Even with all that she do faces sustaining issues against bosses with AOE. Heck this is after I use HP/Def on my harmony units with Firefly(who already has 40% inbuilt dmg res). I don’t have aventurine so can’t say much about him though.
I have both E0S1 Fu Xuan and E0S0 Aventurine. My Fu Xuan is has 8k hp, 1.9k DF, 131 energy regen, and 135 speed also maxed traces. The person in the video didnt even mention Aventurine solos swarm disaster and G&G and Fu Xuan gets one shotted

If you read what i said, Aventurine’s shield unlocks doors and using the preservation path, he gives you a 20k shield to all allies making you unkillable. Fu Xuan cant give shields but mitigate damage taken to herself. For a sustain Aventurine is easily better, Fu Xuan is good for giving buffs and keeping the team alive and using her in many teams.

Na Aventurine is much better, his shield is very good. Both are very good for all end game modes with exception of any related to simulated universe. In gold and gears in Conundrum difficulty then Fu Xuan just get one shot with a single AoE of an enemy boss. The same for Divergent Universe.
me who has to skill every time in new endgames to generate fu xuan ult fast with err rope with 7k hp so she dosnt die but she cant do shit against dot enemies like they will melt her like drunken one so i think aventurive is better ill get him on rerun
If that is the case prep a broken keel set for him and the supports if you are using a hypercarry or FUA team comp. It’s pretty decent set and gets you 30% free CD on your main dps or duo dps setups and 48% if we count his ULT.

I think Aventurine is better than Fu Xuan, I've never had difficulty surviving high difficulty challenges with Aventurine, mainly because his shield constantly regenerates, but Fu Xuan often ends up dying in AoE bosses, this was the case with the last Apocalyptic Shadow on the Argenti side, on the Cocolia side not so much, but on both sides I had difficulty passing it with her, and with the Aventurine I had no problems on either side.
I like both top 2 but always liked fu xuan slightly more and now I can use your actual thought out reasoning instead of “she’s pink and cute and smart like my girlfriend”

Aventurine survabilty is never a issue? The diffrence between a good Aventurine build and bad one is in how often they have to use their skill.
Neither build should ever run into any sustain issues and shields are way way better in Golden Gears,Swarm disaster and Divergent universe as at some point Fu xuan takes to much damage.
@Zeru258 yes I never run into problems with aventurine however if something does break his shield or a unit gets focused there is almost nothing he is able to do since fu xuan is able to heal herself and others and re direct dmg rather than make the unit tank it 👍

If something is strong enough to break a Aventurine shield and one shot a unit then Fu xuan damage Reduktion wouldn't help much either.
You usally at most take like 5-10% damage the few times where you get a shield break. Which dosen't matters as even if a unit losses 50% of their HP as long as the unit dosen't die it has no actuall effect on the clear. Mind you these shieldbreaks can almost always be bypassed by using his skill more.
Even then you can just swap out a crit relic for a defense one in that occosion. Even in non fua teams I never run into a sustain issue,as the only in game content where enemys could do that much damage is SU and there persavation blessing exist.
@Zeru258 i see your point but I mean in apoc shadow when the enemies act multiple times at high speeds my aven shield rarely breaks but when it's not an aoe attack and the enemies lock on to a specific unit without a chance to refresh that's when I'd prefer fu xuan since she can use her technique before
You can run def orb and body on aventurine and still have good dmg, you know that, right? Like you don't have to sacrifice anything lol he's just the goat
FINALLY somebody put those Aventurine stans into their places. I'm exhausted hearing he's the best limited sustain.
