“We went to the moon not just once, but several times and I think the Russians would have called us out on that one if it wasn’t true” I think that’s the first time I’ve heard that argument and it’s a good one.
@@tmillar3642 I think the larger the scope of a conspiracy, the less likely it is to be true. And to include the US and Russia during the Cold War, I would say that would be a far reaching conspiracy. Who knows, but I think that’s kind of far fetched.
@@tmillar3642 So you think the Soviets helped us fake a moon landing, do you? For that to be true, then the entire Cold War had to be a front. And if that were true, there would be no reason to race to the moon in the first place. And if that were true, why would they need to help us? See how that works? We had the desire, the tech and the ability. We went to the moon. It's that simple.
@@indyspotes3310 Kindly, name one other “race” that once it was won was never run again? Are you saying that if America accomplishes something first, no other country wishes to follow? (Either to join the club, or want to do it better.) Especially if the ultimate goal is always to become more powerful!! With your logic, why aren’t Americans the only country with the atomic bomb formula/nuclear weapons? We developed it first right? (Unfortunately, are also the only one holding 1st and 2nd place using that “ability”. Ever.) Yet, did that equate to game over? Hmm, interesting that the Soviet Union didn’t mind coming in second place for that one🤔 If you can give even just one example of a competition for technology advancement not revisited for 60+ years, you can take the “win”. And per your rules, I would never dream of challenging you again. I find it interesting how confidently you can mention “tech” being a factor of victory, while also not finding it odd that before the internet, before remotes had more than 4 buttons, and 99% of TVs in U.S homes being in black/white and running off of a jankity antenna placed on top were watching “live” feed from outer space.🧐 That sounds arguably just as unrealistic to me. Once again, because I can’t think of a similar comparison in history that such an opportunity was frozen in time once conquered. I’m not disputing that we’ve been to space. Orbited the moon. And that there have been moon landings of unmanned crafts. (Which the Russians did first, sooo they just gave up on ever taking back the lead?) Is it a reasonable conclusion that every rival nation was content for America claiming to make the giant leap on behalf of all mankind? Doubtful. My point being mostly that treating the space race like a game of capture the flag with no rematch sounds as naive as the opposing view wanting more evidence it happened. @Daniel Griffiths You can't really treat herpes if you just have it. The viruses remain in the body. And, what many do not know: You should not kiss babies on the mouth because of it. They can die from herpes. Oh, and most people get it from their mother 🤣
Elon Musk is a genius and it's obvious in every answer he gave. He even has a better understanding of the real function of the government and the president.
I think he's more of a common sense person who is not only smart, but motivated by this old school work ethic that just doesn't exist anymore in today's world. In this age of drinking Kool aid he's more of a Jack Daniel's after a hard day's work kind of guy. He can talk to us, and rub elbows with the elites too. All the while without selling out to them and their agenda. We are fascinated to see one of our own up there instead of some dumb kid who wants to change the world over some bs they've been fed by the "woke" crowd, and actually work for it instead of feeling entitled to it like most of these idiots today.
It's almost as if he paid attention to facts taught in school, in three different countries, instead of to the nonsensical clickbait that is social media.
The most maddening thing is how the current administration really slighted Tesla. This man wants a better future and the woke crowd he's pointed out would destroy everything he's worked so hard for. He's more an American hero than most of our politicians.
Musk is giving the progressives what they claim to want - a technical path to an alternative energy source. Yet they attack him because he is a successful capitalist in the private sector.
A few things I really appreciate about Elon. He's very direct and never speaks down to anyone. He always answers questions as if they are serious. I also really appreciate his humility and the fact that he never appears to be in a rush in his interviews. He is just down to hang out with people. He's a very genuine person and I'm very thankful that he's someone with a lot of influence. I hope more powerful/influential people will wake up and share his values.
What I like about Elon is when he is interrupted, he waits patiently, and then he continues with his initial thought. He never addresses what anyone says when they interrupted him.
Elon’s laugh where he awkwardly breathes in and out really fast is honestly hilarious. This man is amazing and I’m honoured to be living in the same timeline as him.
Don't be too impressed with genius. It isn't all light all the time; there is darkness lurking just beneath. Just wait until he wants to plant a chip (neuralink) in yours and your children's head in the name of science. Beware of men playing God!
I agree, people should make up their minds on all the information instead of just a little bit. Kind of a shame that his hyperloop is basically impossible without significant upgrades like it was pointed put by thunderf00t
I differ with the Bee's platform somewhat, being about as far left as they are right, but this was an excellently conducted interview. I think that a lot of people, for one, put words in Elon's mouth based on their perception of him, and second, besides the occasional gripe about the particular boogeyman of the right ("woke" culture, mostly, though to be fair that was based on a comment that Elon himself had made) they keep it well in the territory of substance and ideas that are actually consequential. I have a lot of respect for Elon and his work, and unlike some, I recognize that he is pursuing technology that is legitimately beneficial to our future. If anything, it's the other billionaires not stepping up and pursuing something more meaningful, such as solving the problem of food scarcity and inequality, that we should really be giving side-eye to. I'll never say anyone's perfect, but he's making things happen, and I gotta respect that.
Very true. We've entered a time when people foolishly think it makes them a "good person" to attack and bully those who have earned more than themselves, even though those people have earned it with sacrifice and actually doing good for fellow man while they do nothing by type insults about successful people while on their phones, pants down on their toilet seats. Elon is correct about those with the "Woke virus". They are who are damaging the world.
Einstein said, "If you cannot explain it to a six year old, you don't understand it yourself." Totally blown away not by how much he knows, but rather by how well he can communicate it....
Funny that I haven't noticed that quote until now, because that's very similar to something I've always said: "If you don't have a simple way to explain whatever you believe, I can't take it seriously."
“My mind says determinism, my heart says free will.” And Musk just accurately summed up a couple millennia of debate on a Christian topic he knows nothing about. He was right on target. Pretty incredible.
Yeah, I think, Its both. The matrix movies illustrate this perfectly. It was INEVITABLE that Neo made that CHOICE. And Agent Smith didn't know the Why its inevitable in that final scene.. The purpose is for you to know the WHY you made the choice you already made from the foundation of the world. It was inevitable that Jesus died for the sins of humanity. The difference is that satan did not know The Why he was crucifying him, He meant it for evil but God used it for Good.

The fact Elon Musk would sit down with anyone and allow them to film an interview says a lot about how transparent he is in his business life. His personal life is nobody's business, unless he chooses to share it.. Definitely an interesting guy.
I am not very smart and when people are reported to be super smart, I am often disappointed with what they have done with their intelligence. Not with Musk.
The more I get to listen to Elon Musk, the more I like him. He's the last of the old time entrepreneurs that charts and walks his path regardless of critics, a modern age Howard Hughes
Musk's thinking on energy is extremely simplistic and juvenile. The fact that there is such and such average insolation or wind on a given area of land says nothing about whether it's a practical or economical power source. It isn't, which is why the solar and wind industry needs government coercion and subsidies to exist. This coercion is driving actually practical and economical power sources like nuclear and fossil fuels out of business which has resulted in the current energy crisis in Europe. And nobody is calling him on this nonsense. Is the Bee worried about getting cancelled by Musk?

My dad's tesla came from the factory with miserable build quality. Bent metal, torn seats, parts installed with the protective film still attached, insanely misaligned panels, and on and on. “We went to the moon not just once, but several times and I think the Russians would have called us out on that one if it wasn’t true”
I think that’s the first time I’ve heard that argument and it’s a good one.
@@tmillar3642 I think the larger the scope of a conspiracy, the less likely it is to be true. And to include the US and Russia during the Cold War, I would say that would be a far reaching conspiracy. Who knows, but I think that’s kind of far fetched.
It doesn't matter what you tell these stupid conspiracy theorists. I have used that line on them many times and they still deny the moon landing.
Hmm, interesting that the Soviet Union didn’t mind coming in second place for that one🤔
If you can give even just one example of a competition for technology advancement not revisited for 60+ years, you can take the “win”. And per your rules, I would never dream of challenging you again.
I find it interesting how confidently you can mention “tech” being a factor of victory, while also not finding it odd that before the internet, before remotes had more than 4 buttons, and 99% of TVs in U.S homes being in black/white and running off of a jankity antenna placed on top were watching “live” feed from outer space.🧐
That sounds arguably just as unrealistic to me. Once again, because I can’t think of a similar comparison in history that such an opportunity was frozen in time once conquered.
I’m not disputing that we’ve been to space. Orbited the moon. And that there have been moon landings of unmanned crafts. (Which the Russians did first, sooo they just gave up on ever taking back the lead?)
Is it a reasonable conclusion that every rival nation was content for America claiming to make the giant leap on behalf of all mankind? Doubtful.
My point being mostly that treating the space race like a game of capture the flag with no rematch sounds as naive as the opposing view wanting more evidence it happened. Any study’s method needs to be repeatable, getting the same results to qualify as trusted. Hopefully Elon will take us off pause!

We are fascinated to see one of our own up there instead of some dumb kid who wants to change the world over some bs they've been fed by the "woke" crowd, and actually work for it instead of feeling entitled to it like most of these idiots today.
Elon should run for President!
well i mean so do most apes but yeah Elon is smart lol
@@maximusdecimusmeridius4638 unfortunately he's not able to. you have to be a natural born citizen to be president. Elon is a naturalized citizen.
It's almost as if he paid attention to facts taught in school, in three different countries, instead of to the nonsensical clickbait that is social media.
This interview needs to go viral. I gained a lot of appreciation for this man in this interview. I never heard from him before.
Me either
you are both missing out on so much
you can also watch the joe rogan talk with him
His joe rogan episode from a few years back has like 30 million views.
I think Elon is unfairly represented in many media for the headline draw.
The most maddening thing is how the current administration really slighted Tesla. This man wants a better future and the woke crowd he's pointed out would destroy everything he's worked so hard for. He's more an American hero than most of our politicians.
Unable to create, they can only corrupt.
And he was actually born in South Africa.
@@ulrickts Oof, the Satanic parallels...
@@KnightRanger38 yes he is south African and Canadian citizen. Bc of his parents citizenship
Musk is giving the progressives what they claim to want - a technical path to an alternative energy source. Yet they attack him because he is a successful capitalist in the private sector.
The main difference between Elon and woke people is that he THINKS before he talks!!!
A very rare trait these days...definitely admirable...
Time stamp or it didn’t happen
Elon’s laugh where he awkwardly breathes in and out really fast is honestly hilarious. This man is amazing and I’m honoured to be living in the same timeline as him.
HEAR HEAR!!!! I agree.
That's how I laugh. And why people laugh about me my whole life.
Dude is just authentic. He's a nerdy guy and it's awesome.
Don't be too impressed with genius. It isn't all light all the time; there is darkness lurking just beneath. Just wait until he wants to plant a chip (neuralink) in yours and your children's head in the name of science. Beware of men playing God!
@@mattn6685 Baloney!!! You sound like someone' great grandpa.
We need an X-Phone + X-Laptop. I would ditch Apple and Samsung in a heartbeat.

This is simply brilliant. Don’t know any CEO who could talk this level of details. People should listen to him more before their criticisms.
Hes not a ceo hes the techno king
@@notjimpickens7928 i knew hyperloop wasn’t gonna happen.
Love this quote
Funny that I haven't noticed that quote until now, because that's very similar to something I've always said: "If you don't have a simple way to explain whatever you believe, I can't take it seriously."
Thank you Babylon Bee for saving this brilliant humanitarian!!! ❤️🌹
Elon: "I like to be very literal"
Also Elon: "If you put two supers before serious, it means you're not serious"
Like - (-5) is positive 5.
They cancel each other out.
“My mind says determinism, my heart says free will.”
And Musk just accurately summed up a couple millennia of debate on a Christian topic he knows nothing about. He was right on target. Pretty incredible.
Except that's not the debate at all
Yeah, I think, Its both.
Logical Dude can you please time stamp quotes from now on? Be logical!
@@e.r.6147 1:22:28 If you haven't already reached that point yet.

So glad you let Elon talk instead of constantly buffeting him with new questions. It's a great pleasure to hear him elaborate a bit.
@«tutacat» Seen plenty of interviews where his responses are cut rather short. But yeah, definitely not as entertaining, getting a peek at his stream of consciousness is fascinating.
@@calamariaxo I'm 50 (exactly two weeks older than Elon) and was diagnosed (After a tedious year-long stint of interviews and questionnaires and family interviews) very recently with level 1 autism, or Asperger Syndrome. I experience streams of consciousness like he does. It doesn't always work to my advantage as it does him though. I have a great engineer's mind but lack the social and business skills to actually accomplish something. P.S. Elon Musk also has Asperger Syndrome but his IQ is just massively higher than mine.
Like the part at the end where the baptists allowed him to not confess with his mouth? Yeah, that was awesomeness!

This interview was the best thing I've seen in a long long time. I had absolutely no idea who Elon Musk was, I really don't follow him, I'm not a fan of electric cars, but I respect his mastery of everything he tackles. I'm signing back up the Babylon Bee as soon as I get close to my bank account.
"I didn't wanna de-risk things, if I take money off the table, and the companies fail, then I would get enriched while investors suffer. That does not seem right." -Elon Musk

This is a fantastic interview. It shows how when you're honest about who you are, you can actually do better interviews and journalism than actual interviewers and journalists.
Elon is such a gift to humanity, and so are you guys. Thanks for this.
This comment is so wholesome! I love it.
Straight answers. No circling back. No handlers yelling over journalists question to silence them.
This is so much better than the times intervew. Elon is explaining his vision instead of defending all his controversies.

Bill Gates has done a huge amount to help humanity too.

The fact Elon Musk would sit down with anyone and allow them to film an interview says a lot about how transparent he is in his business life.

Hopefully not the last
He is just puppet.
Hope he's safer than Howard was.
Thanks!
Wha, how? How does someone like elon musk get on a niche satire show like this?
