I don't understand why I'm the first to comment in three years on this well design and manufactured product. WTH 35 likes 9500 views? why so little love?

Possibly because it's $129 which is about twice as much as it really should be :-(

yes seams expensive for a chunk of plastic. But Nigel if you have ever designed, prototypes, put in to production and marketed something you would know how hard and expensive it is to do.

It was nice to have said in the video that this equipment, also advertised for Adventure (2014+), does not allow installing knobbie tires on this bike model ... Although I find a fantastic product for road tires.

Would this be better than a hugger?

So the mudsling won't work with a knobby tire? Then what is the point? You need this to keep off-road debris off the bike, not pavement material?
Will it work with a Heidenau Scout K-60 at least?

Greg, MudSling fits with certain knobbies and not others. It all depends on the diameter and tread cross-section shape of each respective tire. Available clearance is less on the GSA than on the GS, so fewer knobbies fit it. Michelin Anakee Wild fit both models and work well. The Continental TKC 80 fits the GS but not the GSA. Heidenau, Shinko, and Mitas do not fit either model.
