Just so you know, Fryette, which is what they're known as now has a YT channel and does bi weekly streams with the owner and i think an employee and sometimes a special guest. In one of the streams i watched, the owner Steven Fryette said he's working on a new model of the Pitbull but it's in it's prototype stage right now. You may want to hold off until he puts that model out.
I own one of these amps, the only difference is the Fryette front plate. That was a very rock-like sound in this demo... if you play a bit more with EQ and gain (and the depth knob on the back), this amp can be a pure evil metal monster. But without sounding muddy - there is always enough clarity even with maximum gain.
A king maker amp. It makes you a better player. Ain't no amateur hour when you plug in, you best be on your game. My main go-to amp in my collection for sure, second only to the FBM.
@@david-no I had to look it up, thats the craziest and coolest guitar amp head I've ever seen. I love my Sig X tho, I don't need anything else at this point.
@realtruenorth from time to time someone that has had one will post about their experience with it. The FB page is even wilder with the builder slowly ghosting everyone and fleeing with a bunch of deposit money. It's probably a cool amp but I'm sure the scarcity is the bulk of the hype. I wouldn't want one because once it shits the bed, it'll turn into an expensive conversation piece.
Sounds killer! Would you mind telling me which IR of yours has been used, so i can buy it and use it with my VHT Ultra Lead as an IR for tracking? Thanks!
@@HiMyNameIsJonathan damn these things ain't cheap I guess. I'll have to think about it. It's a big purchase for me and I may have to consider selling a piece of gear to justify it. Thanks for the offer. I'll let you know if it's in the cards for me.
@@HiMyNameIsJonathan thanks for letting me know. I heard Fryette is releasing a brand new version of the Pittbull UL 120 (based on the Pittbull you have) any day now so I might wait for that.
@@hyperbolekid yup it’s going to be a reissue. It’s in prototype right now so maybe in a year or two. The 2005 model I gave with the grey buttons resell for 3k+ mint with footswitch and cover.

Why tf are these not still being made? This is like a IIC+ but not a POS Mesa that cost $4k, breaks down all the time, and is made of cheap/underspec'd components.
I have this amp, and adore it immensely. You've definitely captured the essence of it here. Kudos!
My dream amp. Sounds wonderful here, the IR is pretty convincing
Thanks! :)
You sound the same through all Fryettes. This is meant to be a compliment. I wish my right hand was as good.
Definitely my dream amp to own, it’s a shame they’re hard to find online
Why are they? i bought mine from Guitar Center online.

Hey Brendan. Good response. Yes probably 2022 but I would wait for the new chocolatey goodness to be released.
Get a synergy pitbull module and syn-1 and slave it to your existing heads power amp
@@brendanlucero8585 2024 now and I watched that interview yesterday. Any news on the new pittbull?
Mama mia, that sounds good!
Suoni molto belli e si capisce molto bene le sfumature che l'ampli può dare! I vostri IR si possono caricare anche sul Mooer radar?
Grazie!
Assolutamente si, sono compatibili!
There is a boost in front, no ? Gain at 12 o clock and so much gain ?

Any Slipknot Iowa tones ?

This IR sounds great ! Is this pretty much how it’s sounds as it is loaded on WOS/torpedo live?
Yes, that's the same :)

This amp has pcb mounted pots and cheap comp resistors, seems a step down from Mesa
Stop scooping the damn mids lol. This amp shines WITH higher mids dude - thats where all the beautiful details for guitar happen. Try it out.

Any chance this Ultra-lead is for sale?
