    I just bought this T50 six weeks ago and twice have had 3 dashes come up on the refrigerator screen. Ambient temperature this time 61, ambient temperature last time 75. There is nothing on the troubleshooting guide or manual about how to fix. Worse. They literally have NO customer service. The only way to get in touch is by email, and they do not respond. I advise people not to buy from this company.

    Nice! They are great fridges! I have been running my bodega for the last 3-4yrs and it still works great! I have it hooked to the eco flow and its the 48qt version. Mine doesn’t have the bottle opener though 😢…. Id never pay 1k for a fridge, lol

    So does a power cord come with this off amazon or do u buy that separately?

    Great review and video. We just used ours on our first trip. Very happy with it. My wife really loved having ice cream on the trail for the first time. The baskets are nice for carrying the food inside if you make a hotel/cabin stop and don’t want to unload the fridge.

    Can I put ice in my elec. frig.( have both, versatile !) It's only the water that destroys, but if u have a non leak bag it's ok.

    What battery pack are you using to power the cooler? I recently purchased a cooler and cannot get the removable battery in Canada, so I'm hoping to purchase a power station that can last a couple days...

    • @GearGadgetReviews
      @GearGadgetReviews  Год назад

      This was some generic “Headwolf” 500 watt hour power station. I do not have the battery that can be used inside the cooler.

    What solar panel would you recommend for this. Awesome video I just ordered one but I want to be able to run it off of solar power

    • @GearGadgetReviews
      @GearGadgetReviews  Год назад +1

      My favorite small panel is the Elecaenta 120w foldable solar panel👍🏻

    hey great review! thank you for this. Also, have you added the battery pack sense then? Curious how long it last on its own.

  • @Shereejennifer

    Have you ever used the solar option on this cooler? If so did it work and what size panel would you suggest? Thanks.

    • @GearGadgetReviews
      @GearGadgetReviews  2 года назад +2

      Hey Sheree, I haven’t tried to run it off a solar panel yet, sorry. I’d suggest though a minimum 100 watt panel, e cause this pulls around 55 to 60 watts when compressor is running.

  • @trentonbrackman1263

    If you plug it into the 110 out let on you power station it will draw more and cool faster

    • @GearGadgetReviews
      @GearGadgetReviews  Год назад

      You can set it to max mode and it’ll draw just as much power using ac or dc.

    Any idea on how long this thing would run on a 500w power station?

    • @GearGadgetReviews
      @GearGadgetReviews  Год назад +1

      Just figure this unit takes about 55-60 watts when the compressor is running. All depends on how cold you want it, how often you open it up, how much food or drinks you keep in there. Lots of variables. My best guess is at least 8 hours though at 36 degrees

    Do you know of one?

    I don't know much about these portable freezer/refrigerators so bear with my seemingly obvious question. The power supplied to this has to come from an external source, i.e., there isn't an onboard battery system, correct? Also, once it reaches the set temperature does the compressor cycle off and on, or is there always an electrical draw to maintain the internal temperature? Thanks.

    • @GearGadgetReviews
      @GearGadgetReviews  2 года назад +2

      Some units are capable of using an internal battery but they are very expensive. And also, just like a regular fridge, once the compressor kicks off it will not pull any watts until it kicks back on again to maintain the internal temps.

      @@GearGadgetReviews Thank you for the reply and by the way, Amazon has a $130 coupon for the 80 qt model. I'm seriously considering that.

    • @TealOxAdv
      @TealOxAdv Год назад +1

      This model has an internal battery option. If you register your fridge, they send a code for 10% which brought the battery price down to $170.99 including shipping.
