@@ZxAMobile I never said the new generation isn't the current vanguard for bboying/bgirling, nor did I say that they aren't hyper-talented. It's insane what they can do. The point that I'm making (and the reason you should care that the OGs existed) is that the culture itself builds from generation to generation, and the first generation came up with the moves that these kids learn in their first lessons nowadays. They came up with the idea of bboying in general and created something out of nothing. These kids take something that has already evolved for years at a time in their lives where they learn fastest (due to things like neuroplasticity which I wouldn't personally argue comes from being glued to phone screens all day), and that's why I don't think it's a useful comparison. @@sylvaingarcon8308 you bring up some great points and I agree with you and what you’re saying. The thing is the older generation doesn’t care, it because they genuinely enjoyed it. They don’t care about the legacy or who remembers them in the future or if people respect what they did. Also having access to the Internet is the greatest neuroplasticity hack humanly possible when it comes to talent and skill, you are combining everything you’ve ever learned into one particular skill, and that’s why, even though they had neuroplasticity back in the day, the same as the newest generation, the fact that the new generation has access to unlimited resources in the palm of their hand, radically enhances their ability to do virtually anything, and that is why they are much much more intelligent compared to the older generation in virtually every single aspect. I mentioned philosophy and art because these are two things that require an entire lifetime of understanding and you can’t really understand philosophy, life and art just by being on your phone or the Internet necessarily because you’re not experiencing as much insane hardship. Understandings in life come from suffering extreme hardship, not by a low-grade depression that many people feel nowadays. Back in the day people were literally starving to death, and dying due to cold or extreme heat people of this generation do not understand what that means, and the ones that do are too poor and have no chance to excel. Nasty battle. These kids are crazy! I would give it to Maloy - great musicality and feeling, as well as original moves and hard techs.
