I'm glad you enjoyed a little piece and tranquility Mathew! That was my intention for this video, taking a bunch of friends fishing 🎣 Appreciate you watching.
One summer several of us fished the Willow Flowage in upper Wisconsin. Rain had been behind that spring. So lakes had dwindled down to interconnected rivers. We could literally wade our way in the water for miles catching everything that would eat a number 2 Mepps inline spinner. Otters would swim by not real happy about us being there. Eagles and hawks had nests in the trees. It was truly paradise.
Some of the best fishing I've ever done was in the U.P. while stationed at K.I. Sawyer AFB, south of Marquette. Especially for a Texas boy who only caught bass, catfish, and crappie. Throw a lure out or live bait, you didn't know what you were gonna catch.
This reminds me of the Northwoods Boy Scout camp near Watersmeet, Michigan. I still can't believe BSA sold that off to build an office building in Rockford, Illinois. That's when Scouting started to go downhill, in my opinion.

For me, that might as well be fishing on Mars. Very cool to see.
I hope you get a chance to fish some of the U.P sometime Jared. Thanks for the comment.
Wow
Which lake were you on in this vid? Would be a welcome break from normal life.
That musky was gnarly
Glad I got to capture it on film for us.
Thanks for the comment Calvin.
absolutely beautiful
Beware of the U.P. we have Sasquatch, Dogmen, Couger's, Wolves, Bobcats, Bears the Mosquitoes are big as Robins up here.
All of those critters are rare to see, because the mosquitoes blot out the view!
Would have been nice if you actually showed the northerns you caught!!
I'll keep that in mind for the next one 😉
Until then I believe I do show the Muskie and pike in some other videos and shorts if you want to check them out. Thanks for the feedback I appreciate it
Pike and Musky excite the southerners....
Flathead and blues excite us northerners
NOTHING LIKE MICHIGAN
I'm from Ohio. Love the U.P.
It's definitely a special place!
You guys definitely have some great deer down there Rodger. Thanks for watching my friend.
In the dispute between Michigan and Ohio for the Toledo Strip ,Ohio was given Toledo and Michigan was given the U.P. Thank you Ohio!
@@kerrylee4633the mitten isn’t shabby either. Just a gorgeous state Michigan is.
Nice smallie
Thanks, content is worth the wait.. That first catch, how big's that water you are on? 5 acres or less?
That lake was around 300 acres I think 🤔
I was in a spot off a peninsula so the water surrounding me probably looks smaller.
Have you had a chance to get out fishing yet?
@@WanderingYooper Fittn to, small unamed water, 12 acres, McMillan twp.
Thank you for proving to me that a whopper plopper actually catches fish cuz I ain’t caught shit on that lure.
@@juliofernandez8317 definitely keep throwing it, I think it's one of the best topwater lures ever made. Thanks for commenting.
What do you use to keep the mosquitoes from chewing you up?
We have been using this Dean amzn.to/3VAQJAt at the cabin
or amzn.to/3VMVlVf out and about.
Tight lines my friend.
When is the fish fry?
dude, im saving 250k and living EXACTLY as guy
South lake manastique has been over ate , all dinks now
Never watched a Canoe fisherman use a 3 Way for Walleye’ 👍🏻
Which lake was that lol
Any walleye would be a good walleye
I know right 😁
Especially when you've never caught one , remember like me
Maybe nice if you told her you were using on that hook. I'm surprised you catching those walleye just that far below the surface.
Fried walleye is the best thing to eat on planet earth
It's so delicious
@WanderingYooper I know this won't be a popular opinion, but I think pike is just as good. We fished Autrain Lake and caught Pike and Walleye and prepared them the same way and we thought they tasted the same and could only tell them apart by texture.
@@daviddurham5802 pike is definitely definitely delicious. A lot of people don't like dealing with the bones and the fish slime.
But if you know how to clean them they are excellent 👌 Thanks for the comment 👍 😀
Austin powers, YEAH Baby!
I miss the UP, NMU 81’ BS
Dude catches monsters all day and doesn't take a singe measurement. Fucking legend! I wish I could find a place this good in the LP! How deep where you catching those walleye?
Appreciate you watching and commenting dj
The Walleye in this video were 10 to 15 feet.
Bugs bugs bugs enough said
Good channel ah
🎣
Do you eat those walleye ?
If I keep any I definitely eat them.
One of my favorite fish to eat.
Nothin’ like that musky strike!!!
Is this Eastern or western UP???
@@AnalyticalGuru08 it's eastern.
@@WanderingYooper amazing video man. I got me one of those eastern UP fishing map books today. This is gods construction here. So many amazing natural resources !!!
@@AnalyticalGuru08 that thing will put you on some excellent fishing my friend. Thanks for the comment 👍
Good luck out there.
