    Wondering why the price are no longer mentioned, it helps tremendously when planning a trip and wanting to eat on a budget. Do these Owners tell Mark not to list any prices? It sucks to have to pause, rewind, and try to see what the food price is if a shot is captured. Maybe by featuring the foods now He doesn't pay for the meals so, doesn't even think of posting it?

    • @MarkWiens
      @MarkWiens  2 месяца назад +182

      Check out the description box, prices are included there. I didn't include them in the video because it was hard for me to figure out what we ate, that was shown in the video (as I bought more food for my wife and son, but not featured in the video). There were definitely some owners who wouldn't take payment, despite me trying to pay. Please check out the description box. Thanks for the feedback, I can try my best to keep adding prices in the video itself. Thanks!

      If you are just saying this video I might help .. All of the dishes change mostly between 150-500 tl in turkey . If you eat lhigh quality amb or steak based meal its around 300-500 liras. approx 10-20 euros per plate.Chicken is cheaper((5-10 euros). pastry is even cheaper of course. I recommend stick to the street food and avoid ''fancy'' restaurants because they dont exactly resemble turkish food they more french italian cuisine than us. Fruits are cheaper than Asian countries we buy them in kilos not by one. It's still not so expensive if you won't go to tourist spots and find good quality hidden gems. And if we are talking about turkey, I bet most of the places wont charge Mark for making free ad(for them its not a vlog it is advertisement for free), so they want to give you food for free. even if he wants to pay, Turkish mindset thinks it would be a shame and greedy to charge someone putting you on youtube for free, they mostly wouldn't except your money :)

    The diversity of Turkish cuisine is truly remarkable, reflecting a rich tapestry of cultural influences. From the traditional Turkic elements like yogurt and ayran to the Mediterranean, Balkan, Middle Eastern, Central Asian, and Eastern European flavors, Turkish food offers an astonishing variety. Each region of Turkey contributes its own unique dishes and cooking styles, from the Ottoman court-inspired flavors of Istanbul to the fish-rich dishes of the Black Sea Region and the famous kebabs of the southeast.

      As someone who despises North Eastern cousine of Turkey, I have to admit even that area provides the pide, kuymak with a lot of styles of pide Bafra and all.
      East, particularly southeast is the heaven of more mainstream Turkish cousine
      But there are a lot of stuff usually being missed, from Agean, Balkan etc.

I love listening your English explanations and presentations! I am wishing you everlasting peace and prosperity in your life, maybe perhaps we shall meet in your next journey to Turkey, who knows? Until then, take good care of yourself and your family. Istanbul is a beautiful Baytown kinda reminds me of my hometown with all the diversity & cultures intertwined. The first few dishes look perfect for a social gathering or a quick nibble but I'm like you Mark I don't indulge in sweets really. The vibes are very neutral & the food is definitely not dissatisfying. The eggplant & fish cuisines looks amazing omgoodness Turkey has alot to offer for sure. The ferry ride from Asia to Europe is a phenomenal feature to utilize for business, tourism, & entertainment. I love eggs with cheese so the restaurant you revisit from 2016 caught my hunger lol. Excellent tour overall!! Love what this town has to offer in whole. Thanks again Mark for your constant journey we are so lucky to be apart of... & as always safe travels & blessings for you and your family!! Cheers my friend!! 🥘🍳🥖🍮🍻

He would play music from that country & decorate his classroom w/ flags,posters etc. alot of fun & it got me trying new foods. Keep up the good work.
