i've been cutting my own hair for years ,and i'm learning from various channels ,but this one is absolutely the best on so far !!
Wow, thank you!
Excellent work on the taper! people that say you should make a straight neckline don’t know what they’re talking about . It makes your haircut last a lot shorter love the feather razor too ! There’s Almost no haircut I do where I don’t use my razor. Been a barber for 30+years and still looking out for new tools and techniques to improve my skills . It’s a beautiful craft🔥
It's not easy finding barbers that have been in the trade since before social media. Or barbers with feather razor skills. 🙌🙌🙌 Thanks for watching Arno 🙌👍😁
Been loving your videos! I’ve been cutting my husbands hair for a few years with no idea what I’ve been doing. I have definitely been doing everything you’ve said not to😂 grateful for your guidance.
I’m liking the voiceover in your videos more than speaking during the videos, it seems to let you be more thoughtful in the way you describe techniques
Looking forward to seeing more!
Thanks Garrity, it's true when I voice over I can spend a bit more time thinking about how to explain what I am trying to say.
Excellent haircut. In my 60 years I have only ever been 100% happy with my haircut for 5 years, then my barber emigrated. I have told barbers what I want and brought pictures, but they never listen or do not have the skill needed. Wish you were in Suffolk !
Thank you Steve ☺️
Simply the Best Channel 👍👍👍 for hair cutting in terms of clarity and communication
Ok ok I thought I’ve watched all your videos. Clearly I was wrong. One of my 3 boys has these whorl things at the back but it looks like he’s also got one at the front as well plus the regular cowlick at the top so yay🤯. It’s been so very hard to cut his hair so he can have some sort of style to it. Thanks so much for all your help. You’re by far the most helpful barber. You’ve taught me so much.
It’s my pleasure Sheena, I’m so happy you are learning a lot from the videos.
With cowslicks and double or treble crowns any style with a lot of volume works well. Like styling with texture powder as it will lift all the hair and the hair growth patterns are not so visible
Im a beginner barber from iran and youre videos are very helpful for me
Thank you! My husband is ready for a new look. We want to do a cut like this but using clippers seemed too intimidating. With this helpful tutorial it seems manageable! Thanks very much!
You become the best barber from the internet 🙌 because you show us all the secrets 👌thank you ❗👏 keep up with good work 🍻
Thank you etickete😁
This is the type of content I’ve been waiting for. Thank you.
Thank you for your video's. Excellent step by step explanation 👏
Haircuts tutorial for men's is a good lesson's for me steps by steps this channels makes it's grow expecially at Malaysian unisex hair Salon .
Feliz de haber encontrado tu canal... Eres un gran maestro. Saludos.
Millions of thanks . I'm just star for beginners 😊😊😊😊
Thankyou sir for teaching us very simple techniques
Nice cut, he looks almost like a different guy after the haircut.
Love your work. Thank you 👍
The masking of items when you want to emphasize something is great and I appreciate the effort!
Thank you Robbas. It takes me about an hour to make ten seconds of footage like that. I'm happy it was noticed 😊
The “other viewer” asking what to look for in your guide was me :).
Love the top down view!
Would love a video of this same cut on someone with really short curly hair. I have a difficult time controlling the really curly shot hair.
Even when wet.
Hopefully it was clear enough my camera is a GoPro so no zoom on it. But this is pretty much the process I always use. Make sure the section is small and I have a little piece of the previous section so I can always see my guide.
The video is great. And you reply more quickly and consistently than anyone else I’ve ever encountered on RUclips so kudos for that :).
When I was talking about trouble with the guide, I was also talking generally. I think working on plastic heads often combined with just not knowing what I’m looking for has made it difficult.
Also, I think I’m not always precise enough with my sectioning so I can get lost.
You are great. I’ve learned more from your videos that any other on here or IRL.
I have opportunity to come to Scotland occasionally and would love to sign up for a live class when I do. You should offer them ;)
Thanks Blake. My advice is to really spend a lot of time working on perfecting your sections. Try and make them as perfect as you possibly can. You'll be amazed at how perfecting the small things makes you a lot smoother and faster at cutting.
I've had a few people ask if I'll do training days, I've never really planned to do them but who knows. If there is enough demand, you never know.
Beautiful haircut with very nice tapering! I love working with the feather razor too.
Thank you! 😊 my favourite tool too use
Superb presentation !Great teacher😎

Great Tutorial. Thank you for sharing 🤲🙏
Thank you Maria 😊
I like your framed taper and I also like the tips for how to do the neck line with out squaring it off, I really like that natural faded technique. I think I will give it a try! thanks! Ps, I also like how your brush says subscribe Hahaha
😁 the subscribe brush always gets a little cameo appearance
Framed taper is my favorite too
Nice.. Thanks
Very nice , thx for this super video , impatient for the next !!!!!!!!!!!😁🙏🏼🔥
Thank you 😀
Excellent 👍❤️😍👌
For someone who learned nothing in barber school your videos are incredibly helpful. Well, learned how to pass the test not how to cut hair. I appreciate what you’re doing!
Wondering what type of shears you’re using and the length?
Thanks again and keep up the great work!
Thank you I'm using 7inch quartered steel shears. But really any Japanese steel should be good. These are Hitachi cobalt steel.
Thank you Mr. God bless Mr. 😀🙏👍🙋♀
Thank you Djulita, god bless you and thank you for watching and all the support for the channel 🙌
I give a complete like
Amazing!

Thank you frome México! . Keep up the good work. We what More videos !! :)
There is lots more to come 😁
I've used the razor to thin longer hair out but yet to try it for texture. Definitely going to try that
You'll love razor texture.
Beautiful work 👍
Thanks a lot 😊
Perfect work! Thak You
Thank you 😊
Good Class 👍👍
Brilliant video and explanation
Many thanks!
This is VDO of wonderful of explanatory of hair 💇♂️ ✂️ Happy to see your Channel 😀
Thank you Phannee
Amazing how with scissors he gets better results than all these big RUclipsrs that use clippers and spray on hairlines. One question boss how do I ask for this specific cut?
Thanks Jonez, the best thing to do is show the barber a screenshot. For me the best information a client can give me is an actual image.
good job
Would be good to see you finish the styling n what products you used if any ✌️
PEOPLE DON'T KNOW YHE HA I R NEEDS TAPER. I LIKE THIS TECHNIQUE!!
Thanks
Very very nice sir .I LIKE THIS hair cutting sir I Love you ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Thank you 😊
🔥🔥🔥
Goooood
Thank boss
IMHO Hair stylists and barbers get such a bad rep for the old stereotype of being a high school drop out, not being smart. The way you explain things proves how much knowledge and ability you need to cut hair and that's way before you get into color theory and technique. On top of that you need to be good with people and marketing, sales then you really need to look your best too! 🙌🙌🙌🙌
Thanks Angel, it’s true and it’s a hard on your body. You have to stand all day, talk all day, and focus all day.

Thank you for your quality content. I don't have much hair and cut my own hair, so your videos have been very helpful and educational for me. 🙏 I have one question/issue, and I would appreciate your (or anyone's) answer: when I try to cut my hair with clippers with short combs (e.g., No. 3), I end up making it uneven (especially at the back of my head, the neck area). The reason is that the comb cuts hair shorter where it runs into areas that have bumpy bones, and picks less hair on softer areas of the head. Is there a way to overcome this issue? Thank you for your attention! 🙏
Try to keep an even pressure on all the clippered areas. Sometimes the teeth of the guard can separate if you push too hard. This often happens in the difficult areas.
Also be aware that it can look shorter on the occipital bone even though it's the same length. Light shines on it differently and you can see skin through the hair.
@@theoneminutebarber Thank you so much for your response and help. I will do as you suggested. 🙏🙂

Always looking for ways to incorporate a razor in my work. Would love to see a video covering that!

This is awesome! my husband just decided I could do just as good a job as the last hair dresser. I am watching you closely but have a problem in holding the scissors correctly, they keep getting hung up and stuck on my fingers. Do you have any suggestions. please and thank you so much
Do they have the plastic inserts for the finger loops? They can be put in or taken out to suit. Many people also have one in for the finger and the thumb out which can help.
Can you make a tutorial on how to handle a thin patchy hair like those who had hair transplant
If I have a client who will agree to have it filmed I will, I get asked this a lot. It's hard to find someone willing to be filmed about hair loss
👌🏼👌🏼
excellent video, what size is the scissors you use and is it razor edge or microserrated 🔥🔥🔥
They are 7inch razor edge. Quartered steels.
They are made with a high quality Hitachi cobalt steel.
I've seen some barbers keep a finger against the customer's head as a way to control and anchor while they use the trimmers. Holding the trimmers with both hands while the customer's head moves while talking can cause a mistake when lining the outline.
That's a great tip and something I'd also recommend, if I have a client that's moving a lot I often do the same.
👍👍👍
I love your videos, although I would like to see what technique you would use to cut the top, when the client combs his hair to one side, that is, left or right, or when he combs everything backwards

@@theoneminutebarber thank you very much, god bless you
My hairdresser said my thick curly/wavy hair should never be thinned or texturized. Is that particular razor you’re using a texturizing tool?
It is a texture razor. She is correct, when you thin or texture curly hair the curl will lose its body and the curl can become tighter and frizzy.
hello ; You can do a step-by-step scissors on comb tutorial. I like your videos. I'm from Argentina and I don't know English. You can subtitle them to understand better, thanks.

Are those scissors “quartered Steele”?
And I’ve noticed you also use swivel ring scissors. Which brand? Which do you prefer?
Yes they are quartered steels. The other scissor is the Osaka Vega. Id struggle to choose a favourite, I love them both but tend to reach for the steels most
What's the trimmer? Amazing 👏
Hey I have left links for the clipper and the trimmer in the video description
BOOS ❤

Hi Michael, just a quick question. When you're taking vertical sections to connect the top into the sides, are you purposefully leaving out the hair on the very top of the head? In this video it seems that if you pulled all the hair from the apex of the head into the vertical sections there would still be overhang. Sorry if I'm not making sense.
The top hair wouldn’t reach. If it’s the case that the hair from the top does reach then yes it should be cut but alway remember if you go around the sides like this and the top hair reaches it then you will have a high point in the very middle of the top of the head which will form a weight line at either the side or front.
@@theoneminutebarber That makes total sense thank you! Say you wanted to do a ‘short back and sides, curly on top’ where you need to leave quite a bit of length on top so that the hair can curl - how would you go about connecting that in to the sides without leaving that long bit all the way down the middle like you say?
I saw In some of ur videos that u do middle split so to say when u doing top with scissors and then u follow that guideline, can u always use that or?
Yes you can or you can use a travelling guide where your previous section is your guideline.
@@theoneminutebarber so basically it doesn't matter no what side our client comb his hair or where he split his hair we can always use middle guide, am I getting that right? Thanks so much for all the videos and answers, U help a lot 👍

can you link the shears ?... no shears in your amazon link 😢😊
It’s very difficult to find good scissors on Amazon. I pretty much only use Quartered Steels who are based in Ireland. They do ship worldwide though. Although their scissorsub subscription service is still only uk based.

I really like your method, but have a question. I noticed the video showed you cutting the left side above the ear (the section from the crown to the bangs that's below the left parting line), but the video doesn't show you cutting the corresponding right side above the ear. I'm assuming you left that out of the video for the sake of shortening the video, but that you actually did go back and cut that section on the right side above the ear. Is my assumption wrong?
You are correct Stacy, I do that a lot in my videos. If the principle is the same on both sides I often only show one side so I don’t bore the viewer. This isn’t always the case many haircuts are A-symmetrical and I will tend to show both sides in that instance.
@@theoneminutebarber thanks so much for such a speedy reply! I'm a complete amateur practicing on my family, so your help is much appreciated!
What inch shears does he use !?
In this video I use a 6 inch, but switch between 6 and 7.
Where can i get the razor cutter?
There is a feather Razor link in the video description. Remember it has to be feather razor blades

لماذا نرش ماء بملح على الشعر ثم نعمل سشوار ؟برجاء الرد
The hair cuticle opens when alkaline is applied and also when it is heated. This can cause the hair strand to look dull (matte looking) salt spray is normally alkaline but you want to hear and dry it with the alkaline to get a good dull beach look.

Killer haircut ! Beautiful .. awesome technique. Check out MC Barber , he has great technique with the straight razor for removing bulk and texturizing.
