My question is if you are setting the core voltage to a static number then does that mean it's going to run at that number all the time and not boost? Because isn't this CPU capable of boosting to 4.9ghz? Also why not use the PBO Curve Optimizer?
Can you help me, pls: I cannot get my CPU to go down with freqency: it keeps 3999 MHz as a lower limit and 4001MHz as a max value. I change power plan, in BIOS there is Auto next to ratio etc and it keeps and keeps this value.
I just realised i used this tutorial for my AMD Ryzen 9 7950X, temps are great and games seem to be running good! But should i follow another tutorial again? Curse my wrong reading of things lol
Did I get unlucky? I have core ratio on auto and set negative offset -0.075 with PBO on auto. Worked great for 2 days. Much lower temps and everything felt much smoother ingame. Then suddenly hard crash black screen. Tried everything to get my pc to boot. Nothing worked. Unplugged and tested everything. All signs lead to a dead motherboard. Now getting a replacement motherboard through warranty. I did find a dead cockroach in my computer. What are the chances it got shorted? I don’t know maybe unlucky because I want to do the same settings again but worried. Motherboard is Crosshairs VIII Dark Hero
I’m extremely lucky that I had only a few days of warranty left. I was able to send the mobo back for RMA and got it replaced. ASUS stated “Cannot wake up from stand by mode”. But now I’m too spooked to try undervolting again 😅
Thanks man, with this I squeezed 15 extra fps in the map Streets of Tarkov for the game EFT wich is likely one of the most CPU intensive loads any game could ask and the best of all the CPU didn't end up in flames.
Hello i have a question. I run it now with a negative offset with 0.075 where you said most wouldn't run it that way. But mine is running and stable. Tested it. Where do you think i should go from here now ? Sorry for my bad language. Its not my native language.
I set my 5950X cpu core ratio to 44.00 with an automatic negative offset. Ryzen Master shows my CPU voltage at 1.1V. Cinebench R23 score came in 2nd to a Threadripper CPU with 28245 points.
And what to do, if I pushed it too far and now I have simply black screen and cant get into bios even cuz no signal, bios flash didnt work, removing cmos battery didnt work either

I run my 5950x with smt off and core boost off and eco mode. to save power. It idles 2200 and maxes out 3400. It runs just as good with lower watts. 3070ti also under clocked system around 300 watts tuned playing any game at 120 fps.
I have a 280 mm water cooler (2 fans) and i noticed that i have some lags and from time to time my pc restarts in the middle of an important match so verified my temperature and even after the restart and a bit of cooldown the temperature still stayed around 70 degrees, so i suppose i should do the same like u, but do u think that i should put the cpu ratio at 44 or lower?

Hey man, I have a 5950x and even with under voltage. As soon as I run a benchmark with R23 my temps jump straight into the 80s and eventually always hit the max temp at 90 before the test is over. I’ve tried so many different settings PBO on, off, auto, undervolting as you showed, I’ve tried all core of -30 and my temps are seeming to never improve. I have water cooling, is my CPU bad or is my water cooling bad? Because I don’t understand what’s going on and I’m only getting a score of 23,000 in R23
I tried the first method as well and 40 with 1.025 booted but as soon as I ran a R23 it crashed. I tried 42.00 with 1.2 and I couldn’t even boot. But if I’m getting 90 with a undervolt I can’t imagine my temps with a constant 1.2 voltage what sounds wrong here
I had 1.35 and 4.5 on my old cpu with air cooler. Then i put in 1200 loop and it was the same just lower temp, more clock or voltage caused crash. It's not really about the cooling it's just a silicon lottery. I have new cpu but its summer and i have no ac. Im gonna push it in the winter. 4.0 caused 50% performance drop in CPU Profile benchmark. Both GPU and CPU are below 45°C. Not big drop in gaming performance since they are mostly GPU.

My CPU: (ryzen 5950x). These settings worked very good for me, overall performance (gaming and working with pc) is nice and my temperatures went wayyy down, before even in idle my CPU temps were over 50 C (now at like 39 C) and in gaming over 70 C no matter what game, the weired thing was that my pc started lagging alrdy when CPU reached temps around 80 C (maybe caused by this high stock voltage, Im not sure) now with new settings my cpu temp even during Warhammer 3 (settings ultra) stays below 60 C WTF !! and I dont have fps drops anymore. Also the power consumption went way down. LLC Auto and offsets +0.025 is the ideal voltage for amd processors is 1.5V. In your video you can see how you use -0.075V. In my case it would be -0.05V to get the same voltage as yours. Are you using CPU overclocking or do you have this option disabled?

This is also good but I’d recommend you follow my 7900X or 7950X tutorial instead ahaha, they’re in my CPU Undervolting playlist!
Thank you it's got the temps down but it's still restarting in games . My heatsink goes noisy as anythink
When I do this my ram settings change as well...is that normal?
Sounds like your hardware died. This undervolting method would not be the cause. As less volts means longer life time
I’m extremely lucky that I had only a few days of warranty left.

Do you need to disable PBO for this ?
If you have a fixed core ratio, that forces the CPU to run at that frequency all the time. Is that the best advice?
Yes! But I also give a dynamic preset
I set my 5950X cpu core ratio to 44.00 with an automatic negative offset. Ryzen Master shows my CPU voltage at 1.1V. Cinebench R23 score came in 2nd to a Threadripper CPU with 28245 points.
Any other option did you change?
@@ParthaManna0 Yes, I change the RAM timing to D.O.C.P., disabled Armoury Crate (ASUS motherboards), enabled Resizable Bar,
And what to do, if I pushed it too far and now I have simply black screen and cant get into bios even cuz no signal, bios flash didnt work, removing cmos battery didnt work either
remove battery on mobo - after few seconds, usually we take 10, bios will be at factory reset.
@@Chris.Mechanic cmos battery didn't work as said in the comment... either way I bought Ryzen 7 5700x3D and it's running well.
Is there a difference between this method or just changing it in ryzen master in terms of results?
In terms of results, no difference. But in terms of stability I’d really really recommend using the BIOS

I run my 5950x with smt off and core boost off and eco mode. to save power. It idles 2200 and maxes out 3400. It runs just as good with lower watts. 3070ti also under clocked system around 300 watts tuned playing any game at 120 fps.
That’s a very much power saving setup ahaha. With a good undervolt you might find that you can do the same without losing power

I also have a b550-f motherboard so idk where to find some of the settings
My CPU: (ryzen 5950x). These settings worked very good for me, overall performance (gaming and working with pc) is nice and my temperatures went wayyy down, before even in idle my CPU temps were over 50 C (now at like 39 C) and in gaming over 70 C no matter what game, the weired thing was that my pc started lagging alrdy when CPU reached temps around 80 C (maybe caused by this high stock voltage, Im not sure)
now with new settings my cpu temp even during Warhammer 3 (settings ultra) stays below 60 C WTF !! and I dont have fps drops anymore.
Also the power consumption went way down. This is a game changer, I have no idea why u have these low amount of clicks for this video (8800 views when Im writing this comment)

I have an AMD Ryzen 9 5950x RTX3070 TI 4x8GB RAM module and from 240 FPS 90 FPS drops for 1 second then back to normal. I play Performance Mode on Low. And could it be because of the 4x8GB RAM modules that I should go to 2x16GB RAM modules? Or what is the problem?
