Hi Harley, Great question but it won't be a great answer: The two cameras are so far apart in terms of cost that it's hard to draw a comparison and rate them. The 600D is a camera you already having lying around or going to get 2nd hand because you're really on a budget where as the M50 is a go to 4K camera for a lot of people buying new. The better answer I can give is that pick the camera that suits your budget best on your stage of making video content - if you're still not fully sure don't buy the $700 Canon M50 until you know the videos are finding an audience. 😁
The continuous recording doesn't last close to 30minutes it comes up with "Movie recording has been stopped automatically" ... is this a setting? or SD card issue ..?? I'm doing interview based recordings so don't want to have to stop and start recordings during interview. Thanks
Actually looking at setting up a podcast and live streaming studio, looking at getting two or 3 pieces of it to be able to switch between live sessions and cover three different angles, I hope this your idea will help with the image quality and sharp video for youtube. Any advice for me?
Not really. Something stable if you're starting out. A basic tripod is just basic tripod. Something metal. I bought ones from Amazon that fell apart. Make sure it's sturdy, if you buy in a shop just tap it to make sure the legs are metal.
I? have a t3i and am stymied by the thought that i only have a bout 12 minutes of video before it shuts down. Is there an over ride ? I have a 1 terra byte toshiba card. I am a very new person just starting a youtube channel no videos are made yet. Can I get around the auto shut off through editing or other techniques? ? I am doing interview type videos therefore it is awkwardto ask a person to stop mid paragraph just before the 12 minutes is up. Any feedback is a[preciated. Bruce
Hey. You can consider installing a custom firmware like "Magic lantern" - warning this is custom and not supported by Canon but in addition to extending recording times, it also has auto restart recording so if the recording has to stop because it reached it's time limit a new recording begins automatically in a second or less. :)
Is it still possible to do remote shooting with this camera, around a year ago i started using utility and it was working great til' a few months ago and now while it still works as a webcam, it no longer allows for remote shooting which helped me set up all the camera settings remotely. Any advice?
Remote shooting as in using the remote control? Or that Canon app that allowed you to operate the camera by USB. I haven't used that in a very long time so I couldn't tell you tbh.
Thanks for the Content - Great Video, I just have a burning question... When Filming on my 600D it won't film for longer periods of time. I get a message "Movie Recording Has Been Stopped Automatically". Now Could you perhaps send a link to an article/video to help me with this issue, please? Much appreciated and thanks for your help in advance! (current SD: SanDisk Ultra-120mb/s - 128GB) Regards - Frans Truter love from South Africa.
600d has recording time limits. A custom firmware like “magic lantern” enables the camera to instantly record again if it stops. The limit is due to heat so for that reason consider lowering bit rate or resolution for long filming periods.
@@franstruter Cool. Keep an eye on the heat of the camera though. Canon stops it for a reason. I'd consider recording at maybe 0.8x bitrate or 720p for VERY LONG sessions.

This video is recording to SD
The continuous recording doesn't last close to 30minutes it comes up with "Movie recording has been stopped automatically" ... is this a setting? or SD card issue ..?? I'm doing interview based recordings so don't want to have to stop and start recordings during interview. Thanks
Sounds like the memory card may not be fast enough. Depending on the quality of the recording it may only go as high as 12 minutes at top quality.
Actually looking at setting up a podcast and live streaming studio, looking at getting two or 3 pieces of it to be able to switch between live sessions and cover three different angles, I hope this your idea will help with the image quality and sharp video for youtube. Any advice for me?
Hey Farsam, I'm not sure. I am sorry. :(
I can't get the built in screen to work at the same time as the HDMI out. do you have a solution for that ?
I've no idea how the HDMI function works. You might get additional functionality through HDMI using a custom firmware like "Magic Lantern"
Hey how do I transfer the photos to my phone please help
what tripod is best with this camera, does it matter which one? thanks :)
Not really. Something stable if you're starting out. A basic tripod is just basic tripod. Something metal. I bought ones from Amazon that fell apart. Make sure it's sturdy, if you buy in a shop just tap it to make sure the legs are metal.
Great video ❤️👏🏽👏🏽
This is helpful! More videos about the 600D! :)
So many of my videos on the channel are recorded on the 600D! Surface Go 2 coverage etc. :)
@@ImLeeLoi Woah! Will watch all of them vids. Thanks!
My 600d shutter doesnt shoot only focuses(half press) so i will just use the video function of it
That's one way to do it!!
You can buy a remote control that takes photos, I shown it in the video haha.
@@ImLeeLoi good thing i have a remote control. I am not going to sell my 600d, its with me for almost 10 yrs now 😎
How do you setup this to get 4k though?
You're exporting the 1080P video out as 4K for RUclips to take advantage of the higher bitrate, even if inherently it can't record 4K.
I? have a t3i and am stymied by the thought that i only have a bout 12 minutes of video before it shuts down.
Very helpful thank you 😊
Glad this helped.
Do u know how to transfer photos from the 600D to an iPad
You will need an iPad converter or SD card reader.
Thank you for the video sir
Is it still good to use this year?
Hahaha.
@@ImLeeLoi wdym by hahaha?
@@lmfao8596 He means yes, of course, is not like two decades has passed by, is just one year.
@@ImLeeLoi Thank you! will give it a shot!
@@ImLeeLoi OMG! Magic Lantern is soo cool! Thanks for the advise. Just had to downgrade firmware to 1.0.2 in order to install ML 😎
@@franstruter Cool. Keep an eye on the heat of the camera though. Canon stops it for a reason. I'd consider recording at maybe 0.8x bitrate or 720p for VERY LONG sessions.
nice video, how can i connect it to my windows 10
I have a video on my channel on how to use it as a webcam in Windows 10. Otherwise pop the SD card from the camera into your Laptop.
Does it have any issues with overheating while filming?
Not really it auto stops recording about 29 mins
i think the biggest reason is MagicLantern
Yeah it has tips and tricks but even without custom firmware it still works well
Best sd card? For Canon 600d
UHS-1 is great!
max quality is HD on this cam
Please see video for explanation of 4K Web video. There is also English closed captions available if needed
It’s now 11 years old
Sure is buddy!
Làm video về ảnh của canon 600d đi ạ
is nikon 5300d better than canon 600d
Never used this camera so I couldn't definitively say!
My canon auto stop video recording
There's a 30 min recording limit.
Thid is ridiculous, so much general talk about stuf everyone knows, and not showing how do you actually get 4k video from 600D.
Use chapter times to go to relevant section and look out for when I switch recording cameras. Maybe you didn't even notice the difference!
I found this video highly informative thank you again.
👍
Glad you liked video.
U did filter ur voice?
Never
how in 4K
Please use English subtitles on my video when watching to help explain. :)
Stop stalking so much and actually show the camera such a waste of time
Majority of this video was recorded on 600D. Proof in the videos I made. Check chapter times. C = Canon, S = Sony.
Nice, just like u.
Congratulations!
