The outside of that shop is fantastic! The door is a work of art like the rest of it. I am here because I was looking around the Cordings web site. Superb quality clothing.

Hi! +Noll Uloth Thanks! Glad you liked the video. Very pleased with my Cordings hat, hopefully the weather will allow me to hang it up for the next few months until Autumn and Winter. Cordings is a fabulous store to visit, you must be very proud to be a part of its story. Best wishes.

Hello from Chicago! Love watching your videos as London is my favorite city. We've just moved back to the USA after two years in Surrey. I miss lunch at Polo in Soho and wandering around Foyles. Thanks for my little bit of London until I get back.

Cheers Robert and another great video of every day London life. I too will now go to their website. I have recommended your channel to so many people as it is like walking around town with a good friend who knows so much about that great city. Any "locals" always know the best places to eat and where the little family owned business are. I like many others try to support the little guy businesses. Thanks again and have a great weekend!!!

At 3:47. I wonder why it is so busy. I have gone into the store before and there were only a few customers.

Eric Clapton owns Cordings. He has an interesting story of how he became a customer and then bought the place.

golly! £59 for a cap! I guess the ordinary clientelle must be quite used to high end stuff - no wonder the customers in there are used to having quite a lot of assistance and helpful attention when shopping! I've walked right past Cordings loads of times and never knew what lay inside - thanks for the little peak :)

HI! +Nimbleful The store is not self service like modern ones which is why people love it but when the customers out number the assistants to the extent they did on this day they need to switch to a more modern form of service (circa 1916 when self service began) but neither the store of many of the customers have that in their DNA. A grown man stormed out like a little princess moaning loudly because no one was available to sell him a pair of socks - Its a shame I didn't get it on film - it was very dramatic - I guess the guy would have a complete melt down if a super market machine ever told him there is "an unexpected item in the bagging area". Compared to stores on near by Bond street Cordings probably offers exceptional value for money but yes you can buy clothing imported from low wage countries in high volume retailers on Oxford Street for far less, I often do.

Robert, You might want to consider buying a sound-muff for your camera, to cut down wind noise. Like at 1:43. You do a lot of outdoor vlogging so it might be of value. I bought one for my Canon G7X and works pretty good. It's actually from a UK company. (I'm in US.) I only put the dead-cat muff on when I need to. About the price you saved buying the hat at Cordings. Regs, K.

Hi! +mill101 I have one but never use it any more, I just shout at the camera when its windy now and edit the sound down - I like some wind noice when its windy - I look crazy but I think if I shout a bit louder in future I'm gonna nail it

(I just shout at the camera) LOL! Even better solution. really enjoy your London videos.

There's no such thing as quintessentially British. It is quintessentially English.

    •  4 года назад

the word quintessential isn't even very relevant. It's traditional clothing. Tradition is tradition
