    Great clarity, great production, great info. Not trying to be mean, but the speech patterns seem very forced, like an AI trying to be an elementary school teacher. I'd let your natural voice have a little more control while keeping the uber positive vibe.

    • @BoardGameCoffee
      @BoardGameCoffee  8 месяцев назад +12

      Glad you liked the video.
      The speech pattern is the result of two things.
      1. I am trying to remember a lot of rules at once, and trying to say them on camera without screwing up the teach.
      If we were in person, it would be a lot more casual back-and-forth. if I screwed up and said something wrong, I could easily say “no no no what I meant was this“ that doesn’t fly in how to play videos. So I have to put a lot more thought into everything I say , hence “robotic“ speech.
      2. The other reason is that some pauses are deliberate. Personally, when I watch a how to play video and the speaker talks at a constant speed through the whole thing without pausing now and then, I find it hard to follow. I put pauses in the areas that I want to bring your attention to, for example “place this here…(pause)”. It’s how I teach people in person. I want to give them a second to understand that rule before I jump onto the next. Because, as I mentioned earlier, I have trouble following rule videos of people who speak too fast or spit out one rule after another, without any pausing. For me, it just turns into background noise.
      Does that make sense?
      Everything else is just how I speak. I’m too old to change it now :)

      Yeah i def agree and had the same opinion. Im so glad i got to learn all the characters and game through your videos and want your channel to do well you seem like a really cool person and the only reason im adding feedback is to help your channel grow ! I think the pace is perfect just the tone makes it seem not as realistic . You could always just put a dummy or a friend offscreen ! You could also shave off time by not having to show what someone taking 3 coins looks like.. if someone cant find the coins and basic stuff like that they wont understand any other game lol.

    Hi and thank you so much for the video! I still have two questions:
    1.) If you’re connected to let’s say the sprites, may you, after your character action, use both colors of cubes for the additional help actions, or only of one color?
    2.) I‘ve now been playing solo (farmer) since yesterday, I‘m in my second year in summer (level 2), and I ran out of event cards 😳 I checked all my discarded ones and again the text (whether I forgot to shuffle in some new card numbers), but I don‘t see what wenr wrong. Or shall I just ignore that kind of weather effect and wait till by other ways new cards will come into the game?

    Can you replace a skill a character has learned by learning a new one when all your skill slots are full?
    Can you rearrange your skills if your slots are full and you take a gain a skill action?

    • @BoardGameCoffee
      @BoardGameCoffee  10 месяцев назад

      I think when you get a new skill you can replace another one if it’s full. I don’t know if you get to keep the one you replaced. Let me get official ruling for you.

      You can replace skills if your tray is full. However, the one that got bumped would have to be re-learned if you wanted to get it back

      There is no ending, the game can play forever. But you can stop after the story events come to a conclusion. Each miniature is for a different character.

    Goal card 13 requires a value. Is that value any time in the season? Or at the end of the season?

    • @BoardGameCoffee
      @BoardGameCoffee  7 месяцев назад

      I don’t have the game in front of me at the moment, but as far as I remember, all goal cards are checked at the end of the season. That said I don’t know what go card 13 is. Maybe it requires the tracking marker system. In which case you would track the number of events that occur during the game and then just count up the markers that you used to track that progress at the end of the season.

    Hey, I have a rules question, i really can't find the answer anywhere:
    When a card tells me to roll all the dices - do I roll the ones from the tower and the ones from the characters organizers? So let's say I have 2 dices in tower and two in farmers organizer and 0 in crafter organizer - I roll all 4, right?

    • @BoardGameCoffee
      @BoardGameCoffee  9 месяцев назад +1

      it depends on the card. If you see a circle with a Sprite or a village drawn on it. That’s specifically workers in the tower. If there’s a hand below that cycle that specifically workers you have hired.

    Nice video! And I got my copy the other days and I have a question : When I want to save the game the dice which are still available in my dice well at the end of a season will be placed back to the supply tray or just leave them in my dice well ? I want to change a character to play but I found there are no dice that I can use 😂 ( because the dice are in the farmer’s dice well at the end of last season)

    • @BoardGameCoffee
      @BoardGameCoffee  10 месяцев назад

      As far as I understand, they stay in the dice well. Have you been returning them to the town board once they reach zero?

    Excellent video! I unboxed my copy yesterday and my group waded into the game blind, and this helps reassure me that we're doing things mostly right! I have one question though, as I'm not seeing it mentioned in the rulebook or FAQs anywhere: How do more workers get added to the tower? Initial setup puts two there, and once they're hired it seems like a potentially long wait to have them back in the hiring pool. Thanks in advance!

    • @djlo5t577
      @djlo5t577 8 месяцев назад +1

      I also share the same question... there isn't a more detailed description of what the sprite and worker die symbol without any arrows mean. I am assuming that means "unlock a [corresponding] die roll it and add it to the tower permanently" but I haven't found these explicit instructions. It's nice on the back of the instructions that it has symbols, but there are no detailed instructions on what these symbols mean.

    • @BoardGameCoffee
      @BoardGameCoffee  8 месяцев назад +1

      Certain cards that you come across will instruct you to add a worker to the tower. When they come up is a bit of a surprise.

    • @BoardGameCoffee
      @BoardGameCoffee  8 месяцев назад +2

      The circle with the picture of the worker is referring to workers in the tower. So if you’re rewarded the symbol of a worker in a circle, you add that coloured worker to the tower. If the symbol is a worker with a hand on it, then it’s added to your dice well as a hired worker.

      My guess is that certain restrictions have to be put in place to maintain a good level of challenge. If everyone could just share money, they could all give their coins to one player and supercharge their growth. Which might make things too easy. But I’m not the designer, so this is all just speculation.

    Wait, 5th player is innkeeper? :( See I never got the intel what the other professions were. I only know of the farmer and crafter. What a sloppy Kickstarter project. I would have much rather preferred an innkeeper than merchant as a merchant doesn't exactly create any products, and by concept would function a lot better when more producers exist.
    BTW, thankyou for the timestamps in the video description. You are one of the few that do this.
