Great list of solo games. I would put A Feast For Odin, Cartographers, Cascadia, Guild of Merchant of Explorers, and Long Shot as some of my favorite top 5 as of now.
AFFO is such a great solo but the solo plays differently than the base game. It's a great beat your own high score though. Cartographers another great one. I'm super interested in playing Long Shot but didn't realize it was good at solo! AFFO and Cartographers are in the top 10 for sure!
Glad to watch this video! I hope your list gets bigger in the coming future. My favorites so far is Marvel Champions, Mage Knight, Architects with the expansions. Maquis. Eldersign. Hadrian’s Wall. And so many more LOL
My top 5 varies from year to year. My "classic" top 5 includes Marvel Champions, Gloomhaven (specifically JotL), Spirit Island, Mage Knight and Cascadia. This year's top 5, however, is slightly different, with Ark Nova and Oathsworn that sky-rocketed to the top. Halls of Hegra was one of this year's highlight as well.
Hi! Great video (and insta sub XD). Here in Argentina it´s a little bit difficult to grow a boardgame collection (for availability and prices, even though I have owned a board game store since 1997!), but from my little collection, the one i most played solo is Tiny Epic Galaxies! Followed by Tiny Epic Dungeons, D&D Wrath of Ashardalon, Warhammer Quest, Elder Sign (what a difficult game!) and Dungeon Lite. Oh and I really love Roll Player and Cartographers too! Also, I have crafted some free PnP games that are also awesome, and I have been dabbling for some time now in creating a board game, like a solo dungeoncrawler.
Oh men, your opinions are so thrash ;-) I haven't played any of them, so they must be 😀From your picks I am curious for the Legacy of Yu. I'm backing the new Black Sonata campagne. What do you think of the expansions? Have you played with any? I also recently acquired a copy of Sleeping Gods Distant Skies, so I'll be soloing that very soon! And I also enjoy Dune Imperium very much as a two-player or a solo game. Thanks for the enjoyable video!
Hot garbage! Thanks for watching. Legacy of Yu is amazing! The new Black Sonata expansion does a great job with just changing the difficulty level of the game. I very much enjoyed the short time I had with it before I sent it off to the next reviewer. I believe sleeping gods will make my list in the near future!
I like playing most of the Garphill games solo, but I haven't pulled them out in a while. My favourites over the last year have been Earth, Encyclopedia, Castles of Burgundy, Lost Ruins of Arnak and Pandemic: Fall of Rome. And I'm just trying out Daybreak which is growing on me 😊
@@dadsanddice I almost gave up after 3 plays because it just didn't click and it really frustrated me, but now that I understood how it works it's become really enjoyable. The combos you can build from your tableau are great 👍🏼
Apiary is my #1. Others in my top solo plays include: Wyrmspan, Cartographers, Everdell (with Mistwood), Isle of Cats, Tenpenny Parks, and Trekking Through History, Rolling Realms For some reason Garphill Games don't really hit for me. I enjoy Hadrian's Wall, sold Architects, and am undetermined on Legacy of Yu (played it 3 times in January when I learned it and just wasn't sold on it).
I have 3 of these games, and two on order. But at the moment I'm in my campaign style game era, so finding Earthborne Rangers, ISS Vanguard and Sleeping Gods Distant Skies great solos
@@dadsanddice I talk about it in my video but, basically it takes so much to set up and I don’t play it often enough to remember all the rules, so I feel like it’s just hard to get to the table. It’s a very good game of course!
I think this list could have been “top five solo euro games”. With the exception of Black Sonata and Mage Knight (which are a little euro) these are all Euro games. Nothing wrong with that. Just a thing.
I would hard disagree. While I think the term is a bit outdated and all encompassing, I don’t think their list were all euros. Of Paul’s list only Legacy of Yu is a euro. While Devin on the other hand Pax is not while the rest are.

Thanks for watching
Mage Knight and Legendary Encounter: Aliens
Legendary Encounter looks pretty sweet

Love your classic list! Halls of Hegra has piqued my interest

Thanks so much for joining us! Out of all those we've only played Tiny Epic Dungeons, there is sooo much stuff in the Box. Good luck with your game!

Legacy of Yu is outstanding. I went 14 games and lost on the last one. Immediately wanted to go again
If you haven't gotten thr chance to already there is a one off game that you can set up while not doing the entire campaign
@@dadsanddice where do you find that?
@veerchasm1 there is a thread posted on BGG that lays out the components needed for it. It's also on their Instagram and their FB page
Agree with Devin! MK is my #1 Solo Game! Thanks for the video.
Do you have the Ultimate Edition as well?
@@dadsanddice I have the original + lost legions. And I just got shades of tezla, will try it soon!
And I am looking forward for the new expansion which will have a campaign mode, that's thrilling!

What fantasy music do you like for Lands of Galzyr?
Honestly I generally just listen to the music that is on the app. They also seem to have it uploaded on RUclips.
Mage knight forever ❤❤❤
Number 1! Number 1!
He had so much fun saying, "not with you." 😂
💔
You guys should try Pericle: the Gathering Darkness.
That game looks pretty interesting, gonna have to look more into it

Cartographers is definitely up there for us in the solo. I just saw they have it available on BGA.

I think Sleeping Gods will be on Paul's list in the near future. I played through it once with my wife and loved it!
@wiblick which do you have on order?
@@dadsanddice Backed Black Sonata and have bought Lands of Galzyr.
my top 5
1. Spirit Island
2. Voidfall
3. burncycle
4. city of the great machine
5. hour of need
Have only tried spirit island of those! Going down a rabbit hole now
I’m selling my Mage Knight! However legacy of yu is def in my top 5 solo games too
Why are you selling?

I'll be sure to check it out! Agreed, it is a beast
I know a few of the games you mention
Which are your favorites

Didn't like Warp's Edge at all, but the rest 😏👍
Oh no! What was it about it?
