Board Stupid is such a good show, not shallow, loads of fun and chemistry between you guys, and I really enjoy the variety of formats you have thought through and present. Bravo & merry Christmas.
Steve, thank you so so much for this comment it's so very kind of you to say. We appreciate you and your comments every time, hope to catch up and meet you at UKGE. Merry Christmas to you too mate
Arcs ! "I keep thinking about this game even when I'm not playing" is always one of the strongest factors in me determining if a game is great. Independently of if I love it, if it grips me against my will, it's doing something special
Thank you so so much mate! Very kind of you, we hope we get even more success in 2025 and can't wait to see what the future holds for us. Appreciate you
Congratulations on 4k. That'll be especially useful for livestreams, gameplay, and teaches. It's nice when you can read text on cards from a distance. Speaking of production, excellent job with your River of Gold footage. I've never played the game, but I was speaking to someone about how the game looks and I could do that thanks to your review of it. I have since seen another channel mention River of Gold and bring up pictures of the board, but it was completely unrecognizable. Fateforge: Chronicles of Kaan did a really good job. It's low complexity enough that almost anyone can play it, the luck isn't on the final step so RNG haters can play it, the app does a great job - I think it has been updated since I last played too. I think that game has something special that'll give it sticking power, especially for groups that have trouble finding a game that works for all extremes. Courtisans is popular, it's always sold out when I look for it. The deck contruction in Leviathan Wilds sounds like the way Sorcerer works, I should look into that one more. It's fitting when your number 1s do that. As usual for me, I haven't played the vast majority of these games, but I will be picking up a few of them in 2025.
BGC, thank you mate! We will be looking to get a second camera at some point in the future should the channel keep growing and we can justify it for improving our quality further as well as our range of content. Appreciate the comments on River of Gold, Matt did an amazing job capturing B Roll and for some reason other pictures of that game do not do it justice, it's a glorious production. Big agree on FateForge, I think it's an awesome cooperative puzzle with some fun dice chucking thrown in, with a fab story and an interactive, engaging map and upgrade system. Very cool and a great product for Mighty Boards. I am so very tempted to actually get my own copy of Leviathan Wilds... my issue at this point is time to bloody play it! I was genuinely surprised when Matt had Rebirth at number 1, and I'm so glad he did as for me it was my clear choice but I thought he'd go for something else, maybe Ironwood, maybe even Arcs
I’m so glad Mycelia got on someone’s list. I enjoy it. It can be mean, but it’s not that long of a game, so it’s not punishing. I think Undergrove coming out around same time hurt it. Side note: I love Undergrove as well. Happy gaming.
Thanks mate! Yeah Matt loves it, I also think it's excellent. I love the territory control piece, the interaction, the card play, very fun. Never heard of undergrove, definitely one I missed
@@boardstupidukit’s from Elizabeth hargrave designer of wingspan. Came out about the same time as mycelia. It’s about mushroom as well but a completely different game. We enjoy both of them.
Thank you for the video! Nicely done. We got rid of Babylonia because you only use one third of the map , for 2 players. This is a deal breaker for Rebirth also. Not at it's best at all player counts. You really should have mentioned this.
Thank you! For us, we think it is a given that most games do not perform equally well at all counts, and it's not a requirement to be our game of the year. This game is best at 3 and 4 and we mention as much in the full review. I also personally believe it's fine at 2. If we judged games on their ability to play well at all counts our list would be extremely small (or full of 2 player games)
@boardstupiduk The great designers can make their game perform well at all player counts. It's harder , but it can be done. Another beef I have with rebirth is the lack of a 2 player map. The same mistake was made with Babylonia. For 2 players to play their game on a reduced map is simply lazy. One side of the map should have been for 2 players or include another board with 2-3 player maps on it. Sold Babylonia and will not purchase Rebirth for this very reason. Nice job on your video and I enjoy your channel.
What are your favourite games that play equally well at 2, 3 and 4? I'd be interested to know! Many of my very favourite games, and some of the greatest of all time, by legendary designers are not good at 2 AT ALL (El Grande, Ra, for example). Thanks for the comment! Super pleased you enjoy the channel! :D
Thanks mate! We were tempted to do a top 5 games we missed video but I'm not sure how much interest people would have in it. I'll think about it with Matt and we might do it still :)

Great choice! I definitely agree with you, if I play something and I can't stop thinking about it, it's probably hitting me differently.
Hoping you guys grow to get the numbers your channel deserves.
Highly knowledgeable and articulate commentary but equally engaging and entertaining.
Thank you so so much mate! Very kind of you, we hope we get even more success in 2025 and can't wait to see what the future holds for us. Appreciate you
And you guys are the RUclips game channel of the year! Keep it up!
That is such a lovely thing to say!! Thank you so much Julien!! Appreciate you 🙏🏻

Ahhhh now it rings a bell. Yeah it might have hurt it a touch but by all accounts Mycelia has done very, very well indeed.
I have Arcs coming for Christmas, can’t wait to play it.
Prepare to be frustrated, annoyed, then fall in love with the design. It's cole Werhle at his most pointed
@@boardstupiduk I am a big Pax Parmir 2nd Ed. fan, so expecting layered gaming.
Ooh nice. Never played it, but I hear great things
Can’t wait to get my copy of Rebirth. LoTR Duel for Middle Earth is my game of the year!
LOTR duel is an amazing game and a worthy pick for game of the year
Many of these games I didn't played but the list is very engaging.
Thank you so much!
So tempted by Ironwood, please stop telling me how good it is. I have so many games to play.
😆 sorry Steve but it's brilliant, we love it

Wow, Rebirth… might just raid the Jan sales.
You won't regret it. Easy to teach, easy to play, great fun, and ramp it up on the Ireland map
Chuffed to see Mycelia in the top ten! 😁😁
Such an amazing game Jack!! 👏
Congrats mate!
Matt...fa finta di essere inglese e giovane col cappellino e poi..."yesse" so de Roma.😄
😂😂😂 m’hai sgamato!
😂😂😂
arcs is goty for me
Entirely fair and understandable choice! It's a fascinating game
I’d add Skyrise on the list 😊
We need to play it!
@ indeed!!! That can make for a good new year resolution (or an end of year objective!) 😉
Love it - a great new years resolution - play more games (if we can find the time!)
Did you guys try Andromeda's Edge or was it not as well liked?
I'd love to see your list of 2024 games that you've not managed to play but really want to. Always interesting to see what's on people's radars! 👀
Thanks mate! We were tempted to do a top 5 games we missed video but I'm not sure how much interest people would have in it. I'll think about it with Matt and we might do it still :)
