    Hi ya Dave it's good to see again I'm now getting close to having enough tools to get started you have been one of the people who have inspired me to push on with what was a interest into trying to start a small business of my own.     Well, "historically," for much of the 20th century this type of tool has been successfully used by jewelers. Maybe simpler models, but very useful tools. Even the home made ones work really well. I love my Pepe tools, but don't do enough wax work to justify buying this more expensive item. I agree with the no flame part and love having having a few different tips, so if you do lots of wax work this may be the perfect tool.

      Thanks for the input Alice. I agree it depends on how much wax work you do. I think a small casting operation would find it invaluable. I may even try some pyrography with it. Thanks for watching. Dave
