The implications that Officer Papermouth was such a good father figure to Shapey and Block to the point where they became a police officer and fireman is honestly sweet. So sad this show got cancelled. It obviously was going to end on some kind of positive ending
There is another reason why Clay and Bloberta remain together is because everyone in the Moralton are already aware their marriage is terrible; however, they remain together in denial. They still think the townspeople don't know their marriage is a failure. Orel is the only one who wasn't aware of it until later on. When Orel ask his mom why she married Clay, she remember the reason why she married him for all the wrong reasons. When Bloberta left the room, she broke down crying because Orel is seeing the awful truth that she and Clay were trying to hide.
😭 okay one year late to reply but that's so true i just realized that as well most of the townsfolk knew about their toxic marriage already i remember last episode reverend putty told orel to go to daniel which shows that he knows about everything everyone does just not orel

Wait, I thought it was known that shapey and block are both neurodivergent coded. I mean their communication styles, the screaming, the tantrums with no real clear cause, they hurt themselves and others seemingly not out of malice but just because they don’t understand what they’re doing. I mean bloberta sprays herself and screams in pain and shapey looks worried or even distressed. But he stabs himself in the eyes, gives a quick “ow” and keeps going like nothing. I can see that as him not recognizing the pain as a “hey stop doing that, this is a bad feeling” but more like, “ow, this feels weird/different” Plus with all the neglect they’ve dealt with, they’ve never really been taught how to deal with human feelings and pains. Mom/Dad never stop the self harm to warn them it’s dangerous or anything like that which would have a much more impactful affect compared to someone more neurotypical like orel, since he had friends to “learn” with and from. But until block came into the puppingtons, shapey must have been completely alone aside from orel And for them becoming firemen/policemen, we know in moralton that they have mildly incompetent policemen. Particularly with so many being “simpletons”, think ms bendy, Joe, officer papermouth, etc. (which can in and of itself be a much more mild flavor of neurodivergent). So I think block and shapey became more well adjusted. In my eye it’s weird and gross to consider B/S as your typical misbehaved children
@@HispanicToddendale he's in a lot of the important bits like orels near death scene. How his presence shows the city how they hate someone else bringing happiness. Orel not forgetting his dog even though he had him for a short time. The Jesus scenes. The end of series with orels family.
@@ivanbluecool Oh I’m not arguing that he isn’t important, but he’s already been discussed a little bit, and I don’t know if Trevor will have enough to make a full ten minute video.
i personally would’ve been happy if every character got some kind of “happy ending.” not because they are good people who deserve it, but because it could make them into good people. i really appreciated rev’s character development so i would’ve liked to see more of that
the reason 11:19 that adult swim will probably not give moral orel another shot lies with Dino Sta-(not gonna try to spell that last name). I think he’s a little unhinged and maybe hard to work with. He got into a few scandals online for posting offensive slurs or jokes, and with the way Adult Swim is moving forward (very PC), they probably want to avoid that
We only have 2 Puppingtons left, Arthur and Angela! Not really sure about Bloberta's parents and her siblings, they didn't had a bigger role unlike Arthur and Angela, i wonder if they were going to appear if the series didn't end (just like Arthur visiting the Puppingtons)
I do have a theory that Bloberta got clay to start drinking because she might've though he'd turn out like her own father (cowardly and pretty much always listening to his wife)
Ugh, i know everyone has said it. This show is incredible with what it already set up in 3 seasins, yet its sad to know that it could have been even better if show was given 2 more seasons to continue character arcs
Oh, I love these videos, is good to have them all in a single long video!. Will you ever do one about Doughy or the Latchkeys? I think he's very interesting
I think bloberta and clay, if the show hadn’t been canceled would’ve represented how your parents are once you’re an adult, after a childhood of trauma. Bloberta being the parent who changed and admits they’re wrong doing, and has a better relationship with theyre child in adulthood, and Clay being the parent who still clings to the past, the parent you just can’t have a relationship with. I’m taking this from my own experiences with family, and I feel like in the true ending of the show we would’ve seen bloberta and the officer (forgot his name) with Orel and his family. And clay out there somewhere alone, no friends, no family alone in his study with a bottle of liquor
I think Adult Swim should bring this series back. But as Moralton. If they brought back writers and creators I know this show would be great. Just going through the town changing after the events of Moral Orel but not necessarily through Orel's eyes.
Have you ever reviewed or, if not then someday do so, review evil con carne? It has everything you can possibly need, dr nefarious and the hot character is played by Grey Delisle herself!
Cheating & child neglect? Over child abuse, shooting your son, eating & killing a pet, telling his son he's glad he did it? She'd bad but there's alot worse.
Clay has done worse and continued to do worse. She may have *made* the monster, but he's still THE monster. Both have blame, but we can't treat Clay like he's not an adult who can make his own decisions too.
@@ripcactusify I agree with the idea that both of them are at fault for all of this. But still Bloburta was the one made things worse, a tinder to the flame that was slowly dying if you will. I didn't have much hope for it either, but then i ended up watching the entire show in two days and I love it. I also heard of it from Saberspark. But what made me watch it was how he talked about the episode Alone. I relate to one of the characters to a scary degree that it's actually concerning, but if you like shows like Bojack, King of the Hill or bob's burgers, then this show is up your alley. The first season is... Eh. Some of the episodes are funny (except god's chef, we don't talk about that.) But the first season finale is where it starts to get real. The only problem is you have to watch some of the previous episodes to get a solid grasp, as to why it's so important. Just give a few episodes a go... Just not god's chef. Anything but god's chef.
