That's why I say just make home brew stuff for focus on home brew stuff with your channel. You don't have to support their official content by any means but it shouldn't mean that you give up on d&d and your channel in that regard. There's still tons and tons of d&d content from the community that is sticking the finger out to wotc and rightly so. Keep up the good fight.
Support you guys for releasing content you spent time on, know it is never fun to dedicate time to to just trash it especially given the context of the ogl. Really excited to see how your content evolves past the ogl
I'm a newer listener relatively speaking, so I'm still catching up on the Deep Lore of the Dungeoncast. It's been fun to see you guys evolve at binge-watching speed, and I'm absolutely stoked to see what's coming down the pipeline with regard to your guys' content, in spite of the bogusness surrounding the hobby at this moment.
I haven't played much DnD since the 3.5 days, and now that I'm gonna be filling the role of DM again soon, your show was been essential for my catch-up process. Equal parts informative and entertaining, it reminds me of those Zen Nerd days of my childhood that I miss so dearly. So I just wanted to say you guys are awesome, and thank you for what you do!
You get all the spells as spells known. Changing phases does not change your access to the spells, just the other benefits.
Calling Brian out because it's what I live for: the bit where "The moon is a space station" isn't a Star Wars reference - it's a treasure planet call back.

I am fairly new to D&D, and you guys are awesome to watch and listen to. Also, the "Shout out to Demogorgon" song variations are hilarious but ridiculously catchy! 🤣

In regards to character inspiration, I was actually thinking this subclass fit my concept for a fire genasi who wanted his story "carved in the stars" aka a constellation named or created (he found a legend that says the gods arrange the stars after truly great deeds) after him. I already went circle of stars druid, for the flavor of him lighting up like the night sky, but this would've really had me stuck wondering which to choose had I seen it a few months ago when I made him.

We will still be covering D&D lore. We will be staying away from mechanics, unearthed arcana, and any new releases from wotc like modules settings or unearthed arcana
Crystel the Crystal Gem dragonborn. Would love to see fan art of her! Also fitting. Crystal dragons are natural astronomers! BTW You can update the old Player Handbooks Draconic Bloodline Dragon Ancestry by adding the 5 Gem dragon dmg type/ resistances: Force, Necrotic, Psychic, Radiant and Thunder. Its kinda weak they didnt do that in Fizban. I myself play as a Topaz heritage Dragonborn with Amethyst Draconic Bloodline Ancestry. Focusing on necrotic, force and water spells! My D.M was totally for it so now its my favorite character that I've made. Topaz dragonborn would fit with Fullmoon and Newmoon because of their facsination with life and death + undead
This subclass is very anime, and would fit in a JRPG universe.
You guys are the actual greatest for speaking up in your last episode, I just feel so on the same page in so many regards. Honestly this episode was just too good for them and I get that but I really enjoyed it all the same. I always look forward to what you guys put out honestly. I hope it all works out with what you have in mind for future projects and episodes.

I was thinking of basing my visual novel and the table top based on the novel I will write afterwards in the world, combat system, of swords of wizardtry, which has an OGL same as DnD 5e before the big mess. Would you be interested in creating content for swords of wizardtry for its non-restrictive OGl License?

Apparently the CEO of Hasbro didn't want WotC to acquire DND Beyond because he wanted to launch his own digital platform (which will probably still happen) and is actively trying to kill DND Beyond. Just something to think about. The current OGL 1.2 draft is still unacceptable, but I think they are willing to concede or at least scale back on several fronts (look how quickly royalties went away). If you haven't already decided to completely jump off the DND ship, consider filling out the survey (I have been able to fill out all surveys with my free account so one has to re sub to fill it out).

Demogorgon long predates and transcends wizards of the Coast. They have no bearing on our dark lord.
U get all those spells at the same time regardless of the phase, there still mid tho
Good job to everyone on standing up to the OGL disaster if only the same effort was seen in the ad pocalypse RUclips wouldn't be self destructing as we speak mabye similar measures should be taken to protest demonitization and such on this very platform
I am so disappointed about the OGL nonsense and how it will potentially impact your content. I was looking forward to your artifact lore, and I am curious how this will impact what was planned.
We aren't going to stop covering D&D all together, we are going to be focused primarily on D&D lore when it comes to the game of dungeons and dragons. So the main things that we are not covering when it comes to D&D will be mechanical in nature and we will likely be staying away from new WotC books for the time being. So year of the artifact is still happening!!
Full moon should have kept moonbeam like it was written in the unearthed arcana, instead of leaser restoration. Moonbeam isn’t on the sorcerer spell list, the only moon ability and it’s not on the list. 🤦♂️
It would make sense I was adamant for it too.. but Evocation and Conjuration isnt part of the Moon sorcerer.. moonbeam is a wizard evocation spell only I think. The workaround is to add evocation to waxing and conjuration to waning. Im all for that kind of cohesivness
You only care about the dollars so...
It isn't inherently bad to care about money. In our capitalistic society money is the only thing that matters. If you can make money while also enjoying your work, then even better.
