The Gray Race has indeed some of the best songs : Parallel, Empty causes, Victory, Drunk sincerity, Come join Us and Cease. This is one of their best records. Just imagine how great this record would have been if Brett had been there.
you're totally right! i didn't expect that someone say that. i mean, brooks is fuckin amazin y'know? but there's the thing that he can't hold on a second without playin drumfills and stuff, anyway i love both styles.
As far as my favorite punk drummers go, they coincide as follows, in no paricular order: Bill Stephenson (Descendents, Black Flag) Chuck Biscuits (DOA, Danzig, Samhain, Social Distortion) Grant Hart (Husker Du) Rob Wright (NoMeansNo) Highly Underrated. Todd Barnes (TSOL) the fastest ride cymbal in all music.. R.I.P. I'll still take Finestone over Wackerman any day, as persistent and loyal as Wackerman is.
I thought that Bobby carried Stranger Than Fiction with competently. I can only imagine though, how relentless it would be with say, Pete Finestone, but we can't all eat cake, can we?
Have you ever listened to a BR live show in 91 with Finestone and then a 91 live one when Bobby took over? Bobby’s way better. The main difference, I think, after recording an album and putting his stamp on the older songs, is his kick pattern style and bounciness, sometimes not using hi-hat between snare hits
I agree that Finestone wasn't exactly sensational. What I dislike about Bobby's style is the predictability, and lack of variety. Then again, you're older than me. Perhaps you were already used to listening to Finestone when Bobby joined the band? I got introduced to the band by songs like Live Again, Sinister Rouge, and Sorrow.
thats were its gets different if bobby was still with bad religion he wouldve improved i still like his drumming it wasnt fast fast drumming most people expected single hits no rolls i like wackerman as well he adds that extra maybe bobby couldve too
yeah brooks is definitely more of the type of drummer i dislike. too much show, not enough playing along with the band. bobby was the perfect drummer for the band. i don't hate brooks or anything, just think bobby's style is more fitting

bobby is such a good drummer the grey race is a good cd
man this was their best line up and best time. I don't care what some fans say, the gray race was their best album IMO
One of their best songs IMO. I love it and it was the first song I heard. Strange that it wasn't recorded on Epitaph!
Bobby is one of a kind.
wonderful... this song is great
Wow, its the warped tour back when its was still the warped tour. I havent seen aggressive sports at the warped tour in 8 years
La banda mas grande que podria existir.
Bad Religion.

Amazing performance of an amazing song from an amazing album.
If only there was a way to be 15 in 1998 again! 👻
Nice song, thx for the video.

Wackerman is a great drummer.
great song, great live performance, great band! shame on them they didn't give any credit to Bobby and Pete Finestone in the official Palladium DVD
やっぱりこの曲はカッコいいな!
Rare

Fucking Beautiful !
@N1CKYb0n3z It wasn't his arms that were hurting him it was his rotator cuff

@SwedesUnited It's pretty sad a song as profound and deep as this gets a top comment about boobies.
I can't really make sense out of "I'll still take Finestone over Wackerman any day, as persistent and loyal as Wackerman is. ".
Care to elaborate?
Damn, Greg's voice sounded like it was going out to begin with, was probably worse after singing that. No wonder they never do it live anymore :/
what do you think of wackerman
He's probably happier with avenged sevenfold
yeah brooks is definitely more of the type of drummer i dislike. too much show, not enough playing along with the band. bobby was the perfect drummer for the band. i don't hate brooks or anything, just think bobby's style is more fitting
Not really. His drumstyle is kind of boring and never really suited the band at all.
