My coworker texted me tonight, just as I was sobbing again (every night lol) about the love of my life Chris who died of pancreatic cancer April 21st. My coworker tonight told me that her mother-in-law is actively dying right now in hospice, and shared this song with me right after I told her that "the wait is a very spiritual, holy place"--speaking from my own experience guiding Chris through the hospice experience to the other side. And then I watched this, and fresh sobs flowed, but this song is a cleansing balm. It's now part of my healing process, part of the sacred space. For anyone who is enduring the hospice Wait, I am praying tonight, and Sevendust, thank you for this song, in that light. Thank you for sharing this performance with the grieved and grieving, and those waiting sacredly.

Lajon is so kind I was the crazy punkrock girl that was self destructing would be almost past complete out on the side walk or at the bar and he would always sit with me and make sure I was ok and made sure no one messed with me he would not leave inside untill he knew I was somewhere safe or that someone we both trusted took care of me .a truly good man I think of him and what he did for me often and this happened a few times

Thank you for sharing this awesome story. i do hope you're at a place in your life wherein you're happy, healthy, and at peace, but if you are still struggling, also know that...I don't know what to say, other than that I want to validate you. Addiction and mental health struggles are incredibly hard, so know that you are strong for simply enduring. And God Bless LJ for looking out for a stranger multiple times, like we all should do. That shouldn't be a unique experience. LJ was showing what I like to call "the real Jesus". Seems like he walks the talk, and blessings to you now, and for having experienced his kindness. PS: I've always been pretty self-destructive myself, so I relate to your story. I'm glad you had a kind stranger to help you along.

This song has been on repeat….my younger brother passed away last week unexpectedly. We’ve seen Sevendust basically every time they’ve come to Louisiana since we’ve been old enough to get in venues. I never thought I’d relate this song to him. I love you Ryan.

Tears are an underrated emotion of the human entity
My dad was a huge Sevendust fan. I happened to come across them on a Pandora station way back in the early days of smartphones and loved them so much and shared them with my dad. He passed away about 3 years ago and it truly never doesn’t go away. I love the way these guys write music, it’s so relatable and true. And the way they do acoustic versions is so well done as are the original heavier versions. These guys deserve more respect for the music they create.

Sevendust has been in the background of my life since the early 90's. From my early years, all night ragers, then my wedding night, then rocking my infant kids to sleep, Jammin soccer trips, Jammin gymnastics trips, Jammin karate trips, numerous live concerts with friends and now with my adult kids. Blessed to be a fan of these guys.
After 24 years of active addiction and endless struggle, I gave up the fight and surrendered to the great spirit who now guides me. I'm no longer a slave to my to my self destructive mind. The page does turn and my life has begun. I always loved this song thru many of those black days and nights, but now I see and it has so much more meaning to me now. 🤘

Sevendust puts Love, calmness, understanding, & a spiritual feeling…. But also pains of life into their songs Angel son, Gone, & God just bites his tongue….. but this song…. Good God almighty…. I’m a grown ass MAN & it always moves me to tears. This is why a little band from Georgia, should rightfully have the title of Super Group, because they deserve it….!!

This band is the biggest heart and soul of metal/rock. If you know, you know! Kind, humble, talented and their music is filled with so much real...real pain, real love, real life and they are the real deal and their music helps you realize you are not alone, you are real and we are all in this gift of life, together.

I never got to say goodbye to my dad in 98. When my mom got cancer, I spent as much time to be with her. She got bad within a month and she was so off. She passed away 4 months ago. I'm so grateful for the time I had with her knowing she had very limited time.
I didn’t want to have the regrets I do with my dad passing.
I even asked mom to tell dad that I miss him and sorry I never got to say goodbye.
When mom took her last breath, I was the only one there awake. I waited about a minute before I got up to get the hospice nurses at the VA.
Try not to beat yourself up about not saying goodbye. I know it's not easy and it won't be.
It's only been 4 months since my has been gone and I feel like I have no idea who I am anymore. The pain will never go away but I know it will get easier through time.

I was at the time travelers and bon fires show in Nashville, it was such a special night. In between songs, LJ would tell stories about his life. The wait absolutely had me in tears as well as when I listen to the album.

Saw them on this tour...on Father's Day (of all days). Got a "happy Father's Day!" from Lajon after this song. I almost broke down right in the venue thinking about losing my dad a few years before the record was released. And made me think of my daughter and how she'll handle losing me when the time comes.
This song hit home!! I lost my family because of a cult. This song never gets old. Just gotta let it go and wait!! Hopefully one day they open their eyes!!
Funny you should mention that. My own sister is in the same situation. It's a fairly small group but she's been a part of it for years. Used to be one of the kindest and most giving people I knew. Now all of her giving is done to this guy/fellow believers. Complete 180 from the person she once was. I can only hope she wakes up one day, because frankly I've grown weary of fighting the battle.

My re-discovery of this year.. I have had a couple of albums for a decade already and always know how they manage to touch your soul. But somehow, I did not listen for some years.. And then, I searched their music again and it seems as powerful and amazing as when I first heard them... no words can describe... WHAT a band.

So many who've heard this song have been helped in their mourning and grieving process. Your mom died over a year ago, but this comment touched me. Rest in peace to your beloved mother. It's obvious how much you loved her, and in a weird way, I felt how much she loved you reading this comment right after the song finished. Blessings in your grief process, because we know that it's not linear, and that there is no end to the grief, just change to the quality. I'm sorry for your loss of your beautiful mother.

I can see, and feel the on the Lajon's souls, on him voices !!!
I have loved this song since it came out, was the standout from that album, but I never knew what it was specifically about before... It meant so much to me because it applied really damn near perfectly to a painful break-up in my own life of a long distance relationship I had where we just could not get it together and it was killing us both. And people sometimes wonder why songs aren't more direct, but the fact is, sometimes vagueness can lead to so many more people connecting with your art on levels you never imagined. It is truly amazing, the power of music.

As for me I choose rather to not live forever because simply if we live forever then we have all the time in the world to do things so we'll never do anything simply because we know that tomorrow will come and we can do it then because we have all the time in the world because we will never cease to exist when instead if we don't live forever and we're more likely and motivated to do the incredible things within our beautiful eyes so stay positive and be the incredible amazing band that you guys are long time listener. And just love what you guys do still one of my top favorite bands on the face of this Earth!
